I guess the reason why there are more mares than stallions is because of population control. If the ratio of the population between the two genders are in equilibrium, then it could result in the total overpopulation and downfall of Equestrian Empire... :o

Equestria is real. They choiced our planet, to test, how we react.

 

Step 1 is to find a human, Celestia and Luna can manipulate, putting the idea about them in her or his head. Thi person was at the end Lauren Faust.

 

Step 2 was to get her the way to tell. A way, so most humans could hear about it. TV was the best, so she told Hasbro to make this idea to a TV-Show.

 

Step 3 was to get the writers stories in there heads, that really happened. Every single episode happened truly.

 

Step 4 was to show it all. And this is the actual test. Celestia and Luna watching over us, looking every single human, who knows about the show, especially those, who like it.

 

Step 5 is to pick up humans, that a worth to come to Equestria

 

Step 6 is to confrontate those humans, giving them a new life chance in Equestria as any living creature exist there

 

Step 7 is, for those, who accept the offer, to tell, what gender, race color etc. they want be there and send them there, so they can live there until the end
