See, I have a sort of double opinion on that. I can see the logic behind wanting parents to monitor their kids and keep them safe. But mine didn't monitor me too much. And I'm honestly glad they didn't, because the thought of what I probably would have been like if they had scares me.

I was teased a hell of a lot throughout school, for all sorts of things. I got into fist fights because of it, spent plenty of times suspended or in detention, as well as the principal's office. It sucks, it really does.

I grew up as one of the few white kids in a all latino poor neighborhood.

So near constant fights and suspensions.

I was the kid that always attracted bullying, without any reason. I joke sometimes that they should have installed a revolving door on the principal's office for how many times I was in it.

The bullies always liked me too. Or rather liked to torment me.

I didn't really understand people though. I still really don't. I was scared of the other kids, and I was scared of the adults too.

I really didn't like violence in real life. So I usually didn't try to fight back. Well, until I sort of developed anger problems...

Gah. I really need to vent about this stuff...

To this day, I usually have a no nonsense demeanor with people, unless they're friends or family, or something along those lines.

It's still all relevant, no matter how you look at it. It's just a shame that people have to be called out just because they're different.

Nobody has to be called out for being different. It's just that other people can't seem to help themselves.

Everyone's different anyway. Just some people are better at hiding it.

You're really helping the cause, Base.

Regardless, people should be respectful no matter what, instead of acting like brainless apes.

I just think people need to start trying to be more accepting of others quirks/oddities/other strange things. I hate how people constantly get upset over things that have literally no effect on them, or hate people for things like that.

I'm not perfect. I get upset over silly things, I can be a bit difficult to deal with at times, I don't always react in a manner that's easy for others to understand. But I tend to try and be nice to others and understand that the things they do that aren't harmful to me or others aren't wrong just because I might find them strange, or uncomfortable.

I have plenty of things I don't like about other people. Though admittedly most of them are just in relation to how they react to me in particular and some of my weird traits. I don't tend to get uncomfortable by most things. What makes me uncomfortable most of the time is just how others can react to me.

Unfortunately however that behavior is never going to change, as it occurs due to base sociological survival mechanisms present in all humans.

It wasn't all that long ago that having someone act weird in your tribe could infact cause you all to starve when winter came, so it is only expected that it takes a while for society to mature, as we have only just reached the technological threshold to be safe enough to do so.

There are always going to be issues when trying to change the sociopolitical zeitgeist, and it's due to miss use of the new technology.

it will sort itself out soon enough, once we move past the rather pointless social issues and begin actually working on re-structuring our society to accommodate our passing of the technological threshold.
