Do they eat fried chicken over there for the holidays? I hear that's what they do for the holidays in Japan, since turkeys are rare in the Far East.

Well, I have seen fried chicken on holiday occasions, but fried chicken is a normal everyday food in local terms, so not really.

 

Most of our holiday meal staples are;

 

* Pancit (Derivative of chinese noodles)
* Ham (The 'turkey' of our holiday meals)

* Spaghetti (The one that tastes like dessert )

* Edam cheese (Queso de bola)

* Barbecue (Our version with the pork strips on a stick )

* Lechon

* Bibingka (Coconut rice cake)

* *insert random exotic food we love*
