Hello Retro!

You can't pay me enough for that.

God, tell me about it.

My old roommate worked at Walmart. I think he lost his soul there.

I refuse to let go until you're impressed.

I think I need a job as far away from other human beings as possible.

But I don't want to spend all my time alone either.

That's a conundrum.

You could get a job with animals.

I've thought of that.

Not really sure I could though. I've found I love animals more when I only have to deal with a small number of them, or only spend limited time with them.

I even get annoyed a bit much with the dog and our third cat on occasion. I'm fine with the two cats of my own. Working with them everyday wouldn't be something I think I'd like even though it was something I originally planned for myself actually.

239000 Hey another thousand!!! :D

Ever watch those shows where Gordon Ramsey turns a kitchen around? Instead of facing south they usually face north afterwards. There is a lot of dealing with people as a chef

Base, I don't know what to tell you. I'm an accountant and we accountants like our space. But even I don't get a ton of it myself. I share an office with two other people. It'd be nice if I could have my own office like most people in the department but I don't get a say in that, now do I? lol I mean, in any job, you're going to be dealing with people on a regular basis. I hate to tell ya, but that's the reality :/

No, because...

Because I have basically no talents, hate 99% of conditions most jobs have, can't stand being outside all day, don't want to be inside all day, hate people, don't want to be alone, am not good physically, not particularly good mentally, etc.

Basically, mention a job to me, and I'll tell you why I either can't do it, don't want to do it, or both.

Maybe you could try inventing something, and becoming and entrepreneur.

That'd be nice.

If I was smart enough to do so. Which I probably am not, but if I ever get some neat idea that I'm capable of that would be a decent option.

Sometimes ya gotta bite the bullet and do what you gotta do. I panicked often about getting a job and the night before I started, I had a full on panic attack. I didn't really sleep the night before and for about 4 hours I lay in bed not knowing which way was up. The world was spinning. I mean, I knew it was stationary, but everything I saw was spinning. I felt nauseous. Finally at about 6 am I threw up for about an hour. At 7:15 I started getting ready to start my first day.

Being an adult sucks. But you've gotta have a job.

If you're not good at anything then that means there's lots of room for improvement.

Which is part of what I'm afraid of.

I have no goals. I could get a job, to get a house, to work, to stay in that house to...what? Keep doing that. For years, and years, and years, and years...So I could keep doing that.

What would I be working for? I can't think of any goal I'd like to achieve. I don't like traveling, I don't want relationships, I don't want any super awesome career, or to be rich, or to have some pointlessly massive collection. I'd be working, to live, to work, to live, to work...

You don't have to be smart. you just need to create something that fills a void. Create a solution to a problem, in essence.

I took a marketing class that basically said entrepreneurs are people who see an unmet need or a need that could be better met and try to meet that need. Like the guy who invented the infrared thermometer. You know, the kind that glides across your forehead so you don't have to put one in your mouth? I'm not the entrepreneurial type myself because it involves a lot of risk but the reward can be incredible if it pans out.

Anyway I love your new avatar Smash

I dig it too, but I have to give all the credit to the artist.
