I think it's the eyes on Rarity. They just don't match up with the others. And Rainbow's head just looks like a guy's. It's part of the reason why I'm not a fan of anime-style art. Just too much confusion in it.

Because Rainbow is kinda cocky and arrogant sometimes and that's usually a trait attributed to show offy guys - at least where I grew up. That and Rainbow's voice sounds like a boy's voice. Notice that I said boy and not male in my original post. When I first started watching the show, I didn't know how old they were portraying these characters to be.
