You can't really make a mistake with an OC. Even if you think you have, it just makes them more unique.

Personally, I don't think it's original enough. I get where you're coming from, but it bares such a close resemblance to Vinyl, that there isn't much creativity. You have to think outside of the box. How else do you think I came up with this:
