BECAUSE I WANT TO RORRI!

Niobium  We're getting into the stuff I know little about. I think that's right, though, that this is used in CT-scan machines or MRI's or something like that.

Rhodium :fluttershy: Found as a catalyst in catalytic converters in the exhaust system of your car. It is found alongside other rare and precious metals such as palladium and platinum, which is why a catalytic converter is always very expensive to replace. On my old car, I was quoted at $900. The part alone was $700. I paid my mechanic $200 to drive about 100 miles, pick up my car, and put a straight pipe on it. Never gave me exhaust issues again. He just said, "Don't drive it in California"

Silver  :o Precious metal commonly found in the jewelry of those on a budget. You're also said to have been born with a silver spoon in your mouth if you're born into wealth. It is a white metal that isn't very reactive, but it does tarnish so polishing is required from time to time to retain its shine. It is also believed to be the next gold for investors.

Also there is a Pokemon game named after it ;)

Cadmium :P Toxic metal found in older rechargeable batteries. Most modern rechargeable batteries are Nickel-Metal Hydride, Lithium-ion, or Lithium Polymer batteries. And yes. The voltage at 1.2 V rather than 1.5 V is correct for AA and AAA rechargeable batteries. I think it's why most older electronics discouraged you from using them, though I never had any problems with it in my digital cameras or Game Boy Advance.

Tin! :D Used in solder today. Older solders had lead in them. There has been a move away from lead because of its toxicity. Tin is also toxic, but much less so. At one point, it was also used for food cans, but that was ditched once it got out that tin is actually slightly toxic. That's why you'll hear older people sometimes refer to food cans as "tin cans." There was also a man made of tin in The Wizard of Oz :D
