Iodine  Antiseptic. It is not very commonly used to treat small cuts and scrapes. I believe the reason we don't really use it anymore is because peroxide accomplishes the same task with less pain.  Or perhaps it 's just not as available to the public.  Iodine is also extremely important to the body, especially the thyroid gland. An iodine deficiency can lead to hypothyroidism, causing the person to be generally fatigued, be very cold natured, and gain weight. The body cannot make iodine. It must be taken in through the diet; however, because there are only a very few foods that have iodine in them, it is usually added during refining. The best place to get iodine in the diet is iodized table salt

Contrary to popular belief, salt is also crucial in the diet. Sodium is important in water retention. We just live in a society where everything has a ton of sodium in it. And with anything good, too much of it is bad. Too much sodium leads to high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke.

I posted this one earlier and I think that's why I started posting all these because yay!

 

Xenon :comeatus: So much Luna in these...Anyway, it's another inert gas, and a heavy one at that you can put in a balloon. And your balloon will drop like a rock because Xenon is so dense. Also, because Xenon is denser than air, if you inhale it, it will have the reverse effect of Helium on your voice. Your voice will get very deep. Here's Adam Savage doing it with Sulfur Hexafluoride.

And finally Cesium Like the other Group 1 metals, it's fun to put it in water, take cover, and watch what happens. It's very reactive, so it's best stored under oil.
