Is it true btw., that in america you only have toast? (no, it's toast before it was in the toaster, after it was in the toaster it is toasted Toast, deal with it)

In germany we have schwarzbrot (I think you say ryebread in english?) and Weißbrot (toast) ; and I don't know how american toast tastes, but our toast tastes sweet, and can thus only be used to put honey, jam, chocolate or so on it. So we eat schwarzbrot all the time, I couldn't stand eating Toast for a week or so...

Uh, we have like...50 different kinds of bread. "Toast" isn't just for sweet things here, so you could put salami and cheese on that, but we also have rye, wheat, and tons of other breads.

 

 So, no. It's not just "Toast", not even close.

In England, we also have lot of types of bread, but it's rare to see anyone eating bread that isn't what you'd refer to as toast.

 

To us, it's just bread, or some strange kind of bread-like bread.

We usually eat rye or "mix" bread (rye and wheat) ; generally just referred to as "schwarzbrot" (black bread), even though there are probably hundreds of different forms of that...

 

And, if we eat sweet things, we eat toast ; referred to as "weißbrot" (white bread)
