It happens, maybe something touches a nerve and they're particularly sensitive to it or we say things and overstep the mark.

Sometimes its really blatant that we step over the line sometimes we weren't sure there was a line to cross.

If you speak to that person a lot, you need to try to be mindful of their feelings.

Even if you think they're hypersensitive or overreacting.

We still need to think before we speak.

 

I crossed the line with someone recently and went to far with what I was saying/doing.

And that upset him.

I realised what i had done (not thinking) and apologised.

I believe they have forgiven me for it.

I'll try not to do it again.

 

And yesterday I was starting to take a joke too far and was making someone uncomfortable.

He spoke up.

And I stopped.
