Once you have it all hammered out, you can just kinda coast. If it makes you feel any better, my girlfriend and I have been renting this house two months now and we are still unpacking boxes. Makes me want to donate all of the ones we haven't unpacked yet to Goodwill. If we haven't unpacked them yet, do we REALLY need them? I'd the one of the biggest hassles is making sure you get your mail. And you'll have to do that every time you move. I've moved 6 times in the last 7 years. It's tiring. I'd never had utilities in my name when I moved to the city after college graduation. My roommates all already had utilities so I didn't bother. When I got out here I had to put deposits down on everything. Electricity, gas, and internet, primarily. Then I had to put a deposit on the apartment itself and pay rent. I also needed cleaning supplies, food, some equipment like a router and an aerial for the tv. It's a good thing I had some savings left over and that my parents helped me move because I couldn't afford movers. After everything was said and done, my savings was obliterated and I'd spent $3,000 just to move. But that was by and large the most expensive move I've ever done. Moving into my house was pretty expensive too, but nothing quite like my first major move. You just have to buy so much shit. Moving into a house is no better, tho. I needed a lawn mower right away. Fortunately, I have buddy who had an extra and was willing to part with it for a 12 pack of beer. It's probably about 10 years old but it runs like new and cuts grass without breaking a sweat so I'm happy with it. Especially since I paid $10 for that beer. It stinks and it's expensive but I guess what I'm trying to say is you kinda get used to it. It's sad, but you do. 1 I refuse to let go until you're impressed. I refuse to let go until I'm depressed.
