Nah French acronyms are always backwards, not randomly mixed

NATO → OTAN

EU → UE

CUT → TUC ⇒ UTC  (I think we simply made a compromise here... )

Also, apropos timezones... Spain has the same timezone as Germany, but is further West than UK, who are 1hour behind Germany
