No, onion cake is actually not even sweet xD 

You get dough, and put a sauce you make from onion, small cut meat and sour cream on it and bake it

Mmm, potato cakes.

A great way to use up cold mashed potato, just mix it with an egg and then shallow fry in butter.

Delicious with HP sauce or sugar on them

When I was little my grandma would make them for me ...she loved me so much that she would deliberately boil potatoes and mash them just to make the above for me.
