DKC2's soundtrack is amazing...

 

 But I kinda like Tropical Freeze's a little bit more.

 

 

 They actually got David Wise, composer for all DKC2, and a decent bit of the other games back to do the soundtrack for it.

Admittedly, I never played much of the DKC titles out of DKC 2. Not that they were bad. I just didn't get far into them lol

DKC: Returns and Tropical Freeze are more recent, on the Wii and Wii U anyway.

 

 Seriously though, all 5 Country games are pretty awesome in my book.

2 remains my favorite. I don't know why. Maybe because I never played 1 and 3 that much as a kid and 2 just brings back the most nostalgia for me.

I think the game that invokes the greatest sense of nostalgia is (and probably always will be) Super Mario World.

 

 

 

 

I love that game so much that I even have a variant of the song as my ringtone. It's from The Thousand Year Door. 

 

 

 

 

Every time someone hears my phone ring, I get looks of amazement. Everybody proceeds to tell me I have the greatest ringtone ever

It went off at the office once and I forgot to turn it off. And everybody was like, "Who's phone is that? Is that Woona's phone? Holy crap! Dude, that is the greatest thing I have ever heard!"

I grew up playing the port of Mario World on the GBA, which I still think is the better version because Luigi.

 

 Though honestly, the game feels kinda bland to me now.
