Whoa, what the heck? I think they were about £150 to £200 here and I thought THAT was excessive.

If those tickets were $2,000 it must have been scalpers selling them. There's no way legitimate tickets would cost anywhere near that much.

Those were almost certainly scalpers reselling tickets then. The arena would have been empty if everyone had to pay $1,000 each.

The Motley Crüe and Alice Cooper tickets were remarkably cheap though. 2 for about £80.
