Let's say that there was a TV show starring my OCs. People would praise it for female empowerment (Anala).

 

In gender-swapped world, you just end up with more stereotyping (tough, athletic males and nerdy females).

Actually, nope. Gender switch ship wouldn't work here, as the personalities wouldn't exactly be matching if they were gender swapped. Original OCs' gender, on the other hand, would be matching

Males and females are wired differently. Plus, other ponies would treat them different because of the gender.

Ah, I see. For example, I've seen two gender-swappped novelizations of Frozen.

 

In the ending of the movie, Anna punches Hans in the face.

 

But if it were exactly the same, just gender-swapped, Male Anna would be punching Female Hans. A guy hitting a girl. *cringe*

 

So in the novelizations, Female Kristoff punches Female Hans instead.

I sort of thought gender swapping might just bring out certain traits and conceal others.

Looked it up. He's the guy that left her to die in that room.

 

 If he were a girl I would still support punching her. I don't care that he/she didn't cause physical harm. Leaving someone to die that you can easily help like that is the same as attempted murder.
