Ah I see, so you feel like you have to hold in your extroverted-ness so you don't seem awkward or something, equerio .

I don't care about awkward. It's just that I'm shy.

And extroverted.

A lovely combo, isn't it?

That would be the laws and constraints of time and physics, Wolf. Distance can be manipulated. Those two, can't.

Yeah, I know, Wolfie :c

I don't get it, equerio XD

Well, I am extroverted on one hand, but REALLY shy when it comes to meeting new people.

And when those two conflict, it brings me down.

A lot.

Actually, Equerio, that makes no sense whatsoever.

It kinda does.

I "have known" myself for 18 years now and I have analyzed my personality a lot.

I know how I function

I was referring to the shy yet extroverted thing. But then again, what do I know about psychology?

Introversion and shyness are two separate things. You can have an introvert who's not shy at all and an extrovert who's very shy.

One of my best friends is an introvert. But he is not shy. He is actually really socially active in an introverted way.

Introverts get tired from social interaction. They can be good at it, but they need time alone. Meanwhile, being shy means you have trouble and anxiety about socializing.

Extroverts recharge by being around others, and get tired from being alone too much.

Introverts prefer being alone most of the time, while extroverts prefer being around others most of the time

Shyness has to do with whether you like meeting people for the first time

Then... if an introvert likes to be social, why would they want be alone more?

162337

Because it can be tiring and annoying. An introvert might like to socialize, but they wouldn't want to do it all the time. They'd like to have some time to themselves.

I enjoy ice cream. But I wouldn't like to eat ice cream every day.

I kind of like this explanation to answer that question
