Silverwisp the Bard 2,354 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 (edited) So, I recently had my birthday (thanks to everyone here who congratulated me) and my niece got me a marker (only one because these things are unreasonable expensive), so I drew something grey. I might just get some more. EDIT; I got more markers: (still gotta learn how shading works though) I Everyone who gets it, what's your opinion on the season finale/the reveal? DND 2,355 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 Hm... well, nice lineart bro. Are you gonna color it? As for my opinion, she reminds me of Medusa. I'm really psyched for pretty much everything in the spoiler animatics, and when I first saw the mixture of Greek/Roman mythology and Superheroes, I just simply reminded myself how amazingly awesome being a fan of this show is. PinkiePai 181 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 Haha this is a funny situation. I'm not a dedicated fan of Doctor Who, but I saw a video on Youtube that said to go watch the episode "Blink". It was pretty amusing with those angels so I searched online only for the episodes they appear in . That's the only reason I get that reference. Anyways, happy birthday even if I'm late. Fhaolan 4,494 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 The reveal? So much headcannon goes up in smoke.... Which is normal for DW, of course. So pretty happy overall. Messing with canon was a staple of the classic series, and I'm glad to see the tradition continuing.
Orablanco Account 3,708 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 I think it would be interesting if, since the Warlock (my name for the non-Doctor) counts as the a regen, the series followed the theory that the 13 regen limit isn't so much a rule as it is a guideline. You just run the risk of being totally evil and messed up like the Master and the Valeyard, which is why Eleven remarked that he didn't want to regenerate in "Nightmare in Silver". Fhaolan 4,494 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 Oh wait, were you talking about Peter, rather than John? I'm still stuck on the John Hurt reveal. If you're talking about Peter, he should be good. What little I've seen says he's got range to handle this.

Actually I went for the curly mane because I thought it would work best for a statue. Has it been specified when exactly the Warlock bit happened (as in between two Doctor incarnation)? Oh wait, were you talking about Peter, rather than John? I'm still stuck on the John Hurt reveal Eh both? Though at the moment my excitement for the Non-Doctor part far exceeds any concerns about #12 (pretty sure Peter is up to it, hope). Though at the moment my excitement for the Non-Doctor part far exceeds any concerns about #12 (pretty sure Peter is up to it, hope). Supposedly the Comic-con-only trailer for the 50th anniversary special had a lot of scenes that the viewers interpreted as being the Time War, so the best guess is 'Warlock' is between 8 and 9. There are two other front runners in speculations: a pre-Doctor, one from before Hartnell (suggested by the images shown in the classic serial 'Brain of Morbius', it's possible that the Doctor has several regenerations before Hartnell), and something to do with the Valeyard, a pseudo-regeneration from the classic series, much like the 'human' Doctor created in Journey's End. Of course we also haven't seen 'Merlin' yet, which was supposed to be a future version of the Doctor who set up the alternate dimension knights of the round table stuff from 'Battlefield'. However, Moffat also said during the panel that he and others in the know have been deliberately and blatantly lying and staging stuff for 'leaked' pictures just to confuse the matter. It's entirely possible that even the comic-con trailer is an elaborate bluff. They're putting a lot of effort into obfuscating the 50th anniversary special. As they should, I would say. Nothing to say that *all* of these speculations aren't in some way true. That would be tricky, but not actually impossible...
Nomadic 210 August 14, 2013 Share August 14, 2013 (edited) Oh, so excited for the 50th Anniversary Special. I'm trying to catch up on my Doctor Who, almost done with the sixth series, and I'm still not sure how I would rate the Eleventh Doctor. Oh well, bring on the special. Also, I like the Angel still has a creepy look even in it's ponified state. I love Matt Smith's take on the Doctor, but the writing quality was just such a damn rollercoaster... There was a moment in Nightmare in Silver, when he was having that intellectual duel with Mr. Clever, that I realized how much I actually enjoyed Eleven. Yeah, he was the Doctor during a period of turbulent quality, but he himself was fantastic. He was delightfully weird (he's possibly the most alien Doctor since Four, and if he had any more tawdry quirks, he could open up a tawdry quirk shop), he was a great combination of Two and Seven's personality, he's been given some of deepest and heartbreaking contemplations in the entire run of the show, and Matt Smith can act. Even when Moffat had him swinging from one mood to the next with reckless abandon, he always made it feel natural. If the show was more consistent, I'd place him up there with Four and Ten, but as it stands, he's still pretty awesome. At least in my book. Jamesblorg39welsh 125 August 31, 2013 Share August 31, 2013 I would like to watch doctor who but I do not wish to watch the episodes from 50 years ago anyone know where I have to start to get it?
