Sterling was saddened when Corona told him that she had to go home to greet a guest. He was just beginning to have a lot of fun with Corona, especially having a lot of fun taking off the ice cream that was stuck on Corona's nose. Sterling giggled when she replied happily to that. With Corona now leaving, Sterling replied with a sad look,

 

"Oh Corona... I wish you could stay longer. I was just beginning to have so much fun being with you... And yes, we really should get together again sometime." It was that moment that Sterling pondered about this special guest... 

 

"Corona, if you don't mind me asking, who is this special guest you speak of?"

"Well I promised my mom that I wouldn't let anypony in on this but I trust you Sterling." Corona leaned in close so she could whisper into Sterling's ear. "Our guest is none other than Princess Luna." Corona squeed at the thought of seeing the princess. Although Celestia was one of the adored princesses, not many took to Luna. Corona on the other hoof had met Luna by luck and has since always been a loyal and faithful subject but she was more than that. Corona was one of few that Luna considered a true friend.

Sterling gasped when Corona whispered the guest to him... Princess Luna? How did she befriend Princess Luna? Of course she would be a special guest! She was an amazing friend to have!

 

"Princess Luna?!" Sterling replied with shock written on his face. "How did you befriend her? She'd be an amazing friend to have!" Sterling continued, intrigued by her friendship...

Corona blushed a little bit when she heard Sterling ask his question. "I used to stay up past my bed time when I was little and just stare up at the stars. I used to wish that I could fly with them and always wondered why nopony stayed up late enough to see them on such a clear night." Corona giggled, looking up at the clouds that floated carelessly through the sky. "One night I flew up as high as my wings could take me...which sadly wasn't as high as I'd liked it. I tried again and again, my parents started to worry and I was laughed at by my students. But I managed to catch the eye of the Princess and she made a special appearence at our home one night. She asked me why I was always flying high into the sky everynight. I looked at her and said 'It's because you make the night so beautiful and nopony is awake to see it. But I do and I love the night that you make for us Princess, it's one of the most beautiful things in all of equestria' is what I said." Corona looked back down at Sterling with a lovely smile. "She gave me something that I hold deeply to this day and whenever I can I send her letters and she comes to visit from time to time."

Sterling listened closely as Corona told the story of one of her closest friends. He was stunned that Corona was able to make such a friend so... easily. It wasn't everyday a princess would somehow marvel at one's flying abilities. Sterling responded with a wide-eyed look,

 

"Oh wow Corona... that's amazing... I wish I was visited by a princess! The closest I ever got to meeting famous ponies was going out with my dad to watch football matches and getting signatures from them. Sterling knew that Corona was possibly running late for her dinner, but he just wanted to keep talking to her... She was such an interesting mare to talk to...

 

"Hey Corona... I was wondering... would you like me to walk you home?" Sterling asked with a slight blush on his face.

Corona giggled hearing Sterling talk about the signatures he would get from famous sports players. His question surprised her and made blush a deep red. "I....I'd really like that Sterling...thank you that's very sweet of you to do so." Corona quickly finished off the rest of her ice cream and started back towards her new home. Corona looked to her left and gave a warm smile to Sterling, just looking at him made her heart beat faster. She was glad to be spending this time with him, and if he was lucky he'd even get to meet Princess Luna tonight.

Sterling was glad that Corona let him walk her home. She was such a wonderful mare to be with and he wanted to show that. As they walked over to Corona's house, Sterling began to wonder whether he would be able to see Princess Luna tonight. If he did, he knew that it would be a very special night...

 

For now though, Sterling wanted to know more about Corona. So he asked with a shy smile,

 

"So... Corona... what was life in Cloudsdale like? It must be fun to live on the clouds everyday!"

When Sterling and Corona walked out of the ice cream shop, Pink Heart decided to give up. It was becoming clear that Sterling was having a lot of fun with Corona. They also had a plan for Corona anyway, so she spoke with a defeated sigh,

 

"What's the use of sneaking around like this Diamond? Why do you have such a grudge against Corona anyway?" Diamond Glitter saw the defeated look in her eyes and rolled her eyes in response. She responded with much annoyance,

 

"Why in Equestrian would you want to know that? I have a score to settle with Corona, and you might as well not be a part of it, considering how much you like Sterling!" At that point, an argument ensued...

 

"Well why didn't you say that before then?! I thought we were friends! You know what?! You being a jerk to Corona and Sterling really doesn't add up! I'm outta here!" With that, Pink Heart stormed off. Diamond Glitter replied with a mere grunt, speaking to herself with anger,

 

"Hmph! Who needs that lard anyway? She'll realize her mistake soon enough..."

Corona chuckled lightly at Sterling's question, it made her feel special for some reason. "It's really something else, the feel of soft fluffy clouds on your hooves each day is wonderful. The only problem is that you don't get any of the beauty of nature at it's prime like earth ponies and unicorns get to see. You're always in the air hundreds of feet from any kind of real land, so it's kindaa hard to enjoy for a lifetime." Corona looked back at Sterling and giggled. "What about you Sterling? What was it like where you used to live?"

Sterling was taken aback slightly when Corona asked him about his life in Manehattan. It wasn't something he was excited about recounting. Corona's eyes looked like she was really interested in him regardless, so Sterling gave up. He replied timidly,

 

"Well there's lots of stuff to do in Manehattan. Broadhay, Times Square, The Equestrian State Building. All those places are great to see, and I really wish you could come to all that. Other than that, my parents would often be working with other journalists for the sports section while I would be busy looking at microorganisms with my microscope. They're so much fun to see! You should come over and let me show you sometime!" Sterling gave an inward sigh of relief. That wasn't so bad. He didn't mention anything about his embarrassing moments and his condition. They would most certainly turn Corona off, so he thought.

Snowdream walked towards her window, looking up at the stars. She had always found them fascinating and wry beautiful. She shut her window and went to bed. She lay there for hours, not being able to sleep. All the while she was thinking about the friend she had made today, Regal.

Corona's eyes lit up when Sterling started telling her about all of the things that were in Manehatten. She'd always wanted to visit some of the more popular places in Equestria. The thought of going over to Sterling's house made her nervous, "I....I'd like that Sterling maybe one day I'll come by and you can show me. Maybe one day I can show you some cool stuff that I have." Corona was saddened when they made it to her home. It was a fair sized house just the right size for a family of 3-4, standing outside was Corona's father. He was a solid blue pegasus with two different light shades of blue in his mane and tail, he stared at both of them with his golden eyes but mostly to the young stallion walking his daughter back to his doorstep. Corona's father, Feather Note raised an eyebrow when they reached the walkway to the house.

Bass Cannon had gotten her food, eaten it, and made it back home already. She had just decided to turn off her equipment and go to sleep. When she made it to her room, she opened her window, looking at the clouds, wondering where they were all going... She continued to stare at the clouds for a while, but eventually had gotten tired enough to sleep, so she layed in bed wondering how tomorrow would go, and she fell asleep.

The two friends arrived at Corona's house. Sterling felt sad. Who would have thought the walk went by so quickly? He was having so much fun with Corona and getting to know her was becoming something he wanted to do every day. Sterling spoke to Corona with a sad face,

 

"Oh Corona... I wish I could stay for tonight, but I need to get on home. I don't want my parents too worried that I went out for too long. I'll see you tomorrow ok?" At that moment, Sterling lightly punched her hoof before stopping at the door... He saw what looked like an imposing figure. It must have been her father since he was a larger stallion than her. He could stand there wondering what he was thinking at the moment... Hopefully he didn't have to explain himself.

Corona smiled and watched as Sterling headed back down the path and to the main road, all the while she waved to him with her wing. Feather Note trotted over to Corona and raised his eyebrow, "Just who was that Corona?" Feather stared at his daughter, watching Corona give him the biggest and cheesiest smile she could give him. Feather stomped his hoof and stared at Corona eliciting a huff from her as she pushed open the front door. "Ugh dad, he's just a friend I made at school today, and besides we have Luna coming over so I need to help mom with the dinner since she'll be here any moment." Corona headed inside, the night passed quickly for her as she informed the princess of her new friend and crush she'd just gotten. Corona was writing her whole day down in her diary and after finishing the last sentence she tossed it back under her mattress and fell blissfully asleep dreaming of the new day and getting to see Sterling again.

After a long walk in the park Regal was tired and more then willing to go to bed, but he stood outside looking up at his own home. It was empty and so quiet. A big difference to his old home where his family would be making noise and have family friends over. This Regal shook his head and entered the dark house. He yawned and fell on the floor. -I hope tomorrow things will be fun.... maybe...- Snowdream crossed his thought. 
"today could have been fun if I hadn't change my mind at the last second" he said laying on the floor. Letting out on last yawn Regal fell asleep on the floor of the living room.

Sterling walked home briskly after seeing Corona's father take a glare at him. He walked home with a happy trot despite the clouds that were beginning to form as he trotted. By the time he got close to his house, he began to feel a rain drop on his nose. At first, Sterling felt a little surprised at the rain considering how much of a wonderful day it was becoming, but afterwards, he quickly shrugged it off. Normally, he hated rainy days, but this time, he felt like singing' in the rain...

Corona woke up early and got her things together and headed out for school. Today unlike the rest of the school year was set to be a late school day since it was supposed about the students finding there after school activities. Corona landed at the school and placed her saddlebag down by a tree. Corona took to the sky and started doing some areal moves that she'd learned by watching the wonderbolts in action. "I'm going to get into that flight group today durring the tryouts and get on that team."

Sterling was now home. His parents looked at him with an inquisitive look as he arrived looking very wet. Front Page, his father, shook his head and gave out a chuckle,

 

"So Sterling. What's gotten you so happy despite the fact you're wet?" Asked Front Page as he could only wonder what his autistic colt was up to now. Sterling gave out a wider smile as he replied happily,

 

"I was able to make a new friend today. Her name's Corona. She's such a wonderful mare Dad."

 

"What? Sterling...? You hung out with a mare? I hope you're not taking things too far with this Sterling... I don't want you hurt by other mares, considering how awful some of them can be! Be careful with yourself. I don't want you leaving your brains at the door." Front Page replied with a warning. He cared for his son, and he recalled some of the bad memories he had with mares... 

 

"I understand Dad. I'll be careful." Sterling replied solemnly. He saw something wonderful from Corona, but Front Page was right. He didn't want his heart to go out too quickly...

Diamond Glitter was without Pink Heart for her little prank on Corona. All she needed was a place so that when placed correctly, Corona would be splattered by grey paint. She noticed a lone saddlebag by a tree. It certainly looked it Corona's from what she remembered when she walked with Sterling. She decided to have a little peak... Lots of utensils and writing materials, but nothing of pure interest... that is, until she found what looked like a hat. It was perfect! She decided to paint the insides grey, hoping that it would stick on Corona's mane. It would be perfect! Leave Corona humiliated, and make her suffer! 

 

"Yes... this is perfect... my vengeance for all you and your family have done... You're done in Baltimare High Corona. And I hope you never see the light of day again... you and Sterling both!" Diamond Glitter snickered evilly as she closed Corona's saddlebag and walked away from the site...

Flare finished tuning his guitar and decided to put it away. "I'll have more time tomorrow anyways" He said to himself as he placed his guitar in its case and stored it under his bed. "Tomorrow will be a better I hope" He said

Corona continued doing her maneuvers in the air, completely oblivious to the fact that Diamond Glitter was messing with her favorite hat in her saddle bag. Corona did her favorite move next the one she liked to call the Lunar Crescendo before coming back down to earth. "I wonder if Sterling's going to be here soon the school sign ups will be starting in a half hour." Corona questioned to herself. In all honesty she really also wanted to see him here for her audition into the Feather Falcons sport group.

It was the next day. Sterling rushed quickly to sign up for clubs. He wanted to try out for the orchestra and genetics clubs, and he didn't want to miss out on them because he was late. He was never late, but he was getting close. He checked his watch, noticing that he was 10 minutes away from being late. Luckily, Hoofstomp High wasn't too far away from his house, and he arrived within minutes.

 

He walked through Hoofstomp High's metal doors into the school. Even though he was 5 minutes early, he could see large crowds beginning to form everywhere. They all wanted to sign up for clubs too he supposed. He sighed with fear, knowing that if he was just slightly late, he would have missed out on the clubs he wanted to sign up for. He walked briskly over to the orchestra section, which was surprisingly filled with ponies. He then waited with a whistle until it was time to register...

Flare arrived at the highschool and went inside. "He was surprised to see the big crowd knowing it was club sign up days he really didn't know what to join at the moment. "I wonder if they have a classic guitar club..." He murmured to himself as he held onto his guitar case and headed towards his first class not bothering about the cubls for now.

Corona headed inside after throwing her saddlebag onto her back. She proceeded to look for the Feather Falcons sign up booth, which was a little hard considering the fact that the school gym was already pretty crowded. Corona could see some of her other friends making it into the auditorium to start there sign up, and she even managed to see Sterling in the mix and gave him a wave. Corona walked up to the booth and looked at the instructor and her jaw dropped, it was none other than Lightening Dust. Corona had heard that Lightening Dust was kicked out of the training academy but when she came back she passed the test she became one of the Wonderbolts. Corona squeed with excitement, her own instructor was going to be Lightening Dust, that was of course if Corona could impress the Wonderbolt.

Regal never did like talking about fashion much or even put thought into it, but he does enjoy creating things. Snowdream trotted into the school and immediately saw the crowd at the auditorium. She remembered that the club sign-ups were today so she trotted into the crowd.

 

She slowly looked at all the options, but her mind had been made up the day before. She signed her name under the drama club. Snowdream turned around and started walking, unfortunately only making it a couple of steps before crashing into somepony.

 

"Oh, I'm terribly sorry, I should be more careful." Snowdream apologized, looking up at the pony she saw none other than Regal.

 

"Regal! Sorry, I didn't see you!" She said with a nervous smile.
