George would listen and then nod, "Sounds interesting, but we don't have time to fool around right now so please keep these kind of reflections to yourself, thank you.", he also added a small smile.

 

 

Serah's felt as if her body had been doused in ice water.

 

He thought she was "fooling around"? Well, she thought walking into an ambush was foolish! She may have just been a private, but she knew she had more common sense than this supposed 'sergeant'.

 

As everyone was getting ready, he looked around making sure that there were no disturbances as that would be the last thing they need. "Remember, our objective is to create a diversion, we are not enough to be able to take the city by force. But that is not necessarily an inconvenient as our small number enables us to use tactics. How? I leave that up to your respective leader as it is purely situational." He then nodded, giving them the sign to start attacking.

 

Well, there was no use arguing now. And even though she desperately wanted to defy her orders and enact her plan anyways, she knew that doing so would result in strict punishment, regardless of her good intentions.

 

Instead, she decided to refocus her anger towards the sergeant to her enemies. She had joined the war efforts purely out of lust for battle, and one way or another, she would get her wish.

The troops advanced carefully, each in their own little squad. The enemy was ready, and has been for at least a day. As they saw that the lunar forces advanced the alarm was rang. Soon the ground would be covered with arrows.

 

"Stand your ground!" George would shout out, very well aware that if things stood as they are right now they will all be slaughtered. "Damn, if only we had an air division...", he looked at the shadow bolts, but they would be just shot out of the air... "Split up! I want three groups moving towards the city ASAP. Any injured pony to the back for care!"

 

He had his own dagger, which had a normal form, but it smelled of frog. He had previously tipped the point in the poison he created. One could only smell it if he unsheathes it though. He then talked to his own squad, "We will be in the second group, which means in the middle, expect to be focused so use the fallen trees and stumps to your advantage."

 

The Solar forces stayed on the mountain for now, not daring to attack them yet.

As 'General' Strong Hooves walked with Nightmare Moon, he was quite curious as to what she was planning, "Permission to speak your highness?"

 

Nightmare Moon turned to Strong Hooves. "Permission granted."

 

 

"What?" Haste was surprised "General Dash? we have to get her"

Dash grunted at the guards, trying to ignore them

 

"No kidding!" Toothless spoke in urgency. "Where's Drago? We need to find where she's being held! Twilight believes she is being held in Dragon Mountain, but I'm not sure..."

The guards chuckled again. "What's wrong little filly? Pony got your tongue?" The two burst into laugher again.

The speaker suddenly crackled, and a voice came to life from the enchanted metallic box. "Cloudsdale attack team, you will now be classified as Team Charliedale. The Alphaloosa team is beginning the diversionary attack! The order has been given to move out! I repeat, MOVE OUT!"

 

 

The troops advanced carefully, each in their own little squad. The enemy was...

The alarm was blaring as endless numbers of soldiers lined the stone brick walls now surrounding Appleloosa. Pegsi were lining up in formation, Unicorns levitated enchanted bows, armed with arrows, and earth ponies armed to the teeth were pawing at the ground in anger.

 

Reinforcements were called in many minutes earlier, and a large ground troop was now closing in on the desert town in a cloud of dust.

 

They were indeed ready for whatever the Lunar Republic could throw at them.

Strong nodded, "I am rather curious... how do you plan to interrogate General Rainbow Dash? I mean, she is rather... dense, when it come to being questioned, she wont break easily at all"...

Haste pointed at the Everfree "Draco and I decided to take care of Ponyville for a while, but nothing is going on, so I guess we should go for Dash"

He gathers his Squad of pegasi and gives them a quick breifing "Ok here is what we have to do. We are coming in from the south the plan is to get Rid of anypony loyal to Celestia now seen as we will be the first there we need to wait for the others and as we are there it would be good to spot any high ranking ponies in Cloudsdale and when the others get there we will caputre or put them down.....Ok lets move out" He grabs all of his equipment and flies out towards cloudsdale

The Dark Queen looked at Strong Hooves, and laughed lightly.

 

"How, you ask? Simply. She's my friend for the moment...and we will offer her anything she wants. It's quite a simple plan, really. Now...shall we begin?" She knocked on the door to the dungeon. Phoenix Ember was on the other side, striding ahead with her cool and confident grace. Watch and learn, all you ponies--this is how you shatter a pony's heart and convince them that you are in the right.

 

She gasped as she came in to see Phoenix Ember's hoof wrapped around Rainbow Dash's neck through the cell door. Nightmare Moon was ready to stride over and strike Phoenix dead on the spot. "Cease your motions on the prisoner now, Phoenix Ember, and get out of here before we do the same to you...only we will make sure you do not survive!"

 

Both Rainbow Dash and Phoenix Ember froze as Nightmare Moon's voice separated the two of them physically, tossing Dash into the cell wall and Phoenix into the door. Phoenix looked at the Queen for a moment. "But, your Majesty, the prisoner was..."

 

"Listen to us and listen well, Phoenix Ember. We do not care if she was physically striking you or threatening to kill you. You were not given permission to harm the prisoner. Now LEAVE, before we kill YOU!"

 

The guard was transfixed by her eyes, and quickly filed himself out of the room, closing the door behind him, leaving Rainbow Dash, Nightmare Moon and Strong Hooves alone.

 

"My apologies, General. We will make sure that any further harm shall not befall you. Did he hurt you in any way?" The queen's mood seemed to change, a much cooler and calm demeanor. Sneaky, stealthy.

"Oh, we will let you go. You will have free reign of the castle. You will be allowed to investigate anywhere you desire, with the exception of the Throne Room, as that is only for those who serve me. Take heart, Rainbow Dash...nopony here seeks to do you harm." The words came off of Nightmare Moon's tongue with the highest level of grace and honesty possible. She had been practicing these speeches for months, knowing how to say the precise things that would work on each pony's heart and mind. "Besides, it would be foolhardy of any of us to think we could keep you captured here. The master of the Sonic Rainboom? Only through total brute force could we hope to keep you here against your will."

 

"Look, we will speak clearly here. We know that there have been many truths and lies told about us by our sister. These are both likely factual, as we have not spoken to each other since the war has begun. We both believe we know what is best for Equestria. We know that you do not have any desire to believe us...and you are well in thinking so. Consider this freedom a free gift to be exercised as a way to show you that I am not all of the evil that others have made us out to be. So...do you have any questions for us, before you are allowed to roam free among the halls of the castle?"

Rainbow looked at Nightmare Moon, with the slightest movements, and finally stood "I got a question" she made sure Nightmare moon was looking at her "Why are you doing this? I know I am the one and only Rainbow Dash, but aren't you supposed to be asking me questions or something?"

"I see our sister has done well to keep you aware. Do not fear, Rainbow Dash. As we have said, you are free to roam the grounds of the castle as your discretion. If you wish to volunteer information, speak freely. This is an open place...and you are now as free as you can be here. We are aware this is not your desire--you would just as soon knock both us and Strong Hooves down and escape. But, let us pose a question, Element of Loyalty...to where would you escape?"

 

Rainbow Dash looked at NIghtmare Moon questioningly. "What do you mean, to where would I escape? I would return to Canterlot, and inform Celestia of your location!"

 

"Yes, we are aware of this. But you are trading one prison for another...except the second one, the one where you have freedom...is equally as damning." Nightmare Moon began to pace around Rainbow Dash. "Where duties and responsibilities haunt your days, as you wander throughout the halls of Canterlot Castle, preening yourself as you long for the freedom you had before the war started. We see all too well that you do not like this war--that you would sooner 'dash' off into the rising run and frolic all the day long! So...whether you like it or not, acknowledge it or not...this freedom that we are offering? It is much more freeing than returning to the service where you have never been honored, never been considered highly of, and never received the life you wanted all these years."

Rainbow's search party?" "No, but I think I found a way to rescue Rainbow Dash" "and what may it be?" "a telepathy spell" "you mean the one in the Starwhirl the Bearded wing?" "yes, i'm sure to be able to perform the spell" "I'lI have full faith on you Twilight Sparkle and I'm sure you'll be able to perform it" "thank you Princess" she bowed again and left to throne room, she galloped towards the Starwhirl the Bearded wing "Hiya Twi" "Pinkie?" "yep" Pinkie walked towards Twilight "need anything?" "yeah, I'm looking for a Telepathy spell" "just a sec" "huh?" "here ya'h go" "how did you find that?" "I saw it in my way here to greet you" "okay..." "what do you need it for anyways?" (OOC: Not to be critical, Berryzoid, but it was quite difficult to read your last post. If you could put some more spaces between lines, I would really appreciate it!)

 

"Because we know our sister. We know how she uses pawns to keep her from getting her hooves dirty. She often would tell us how she disliked getting involved in affairs in Ponyville, and only visited to appease Twilight Sparkle and your friends. That's why they turned their backs on you, three of them did...Rarity...Applejack...Fluttershy. All of them turned away and followed us. Why do you suppose that is, Loyalty? That those three--Generosity, Honesty and Kindness would so quickly abandon your covenant of friendship to join us in fighting against you, hmm?" The Princess of the Night drew in very close to Rainbow Dash's ears. "Because they knew they were being used...treated like fools while our sister attempted to make it seem like everything was all right. They stopped being pawns and decided to have their own voice, become somepony, rather than just a role they had been given as an Element of Harmony. And they had decided they had enough of being strung along."

But you are not, under any circumstances, to leave the grounds of the castle itself. Besides, there is a magical barrier around it to prevent you from leaving. With that being said, welcome to the Lunar Republic Castle, Rainbow Dash. Please, make yourself at home." Nightmare Moon says little else, stands up and walks away from Rainbow Dash.

Hail groaned as his hooves finaly touched the soft grass,None stop supply drops through out the northern front lines had really exausted him to nearly collapsing mid flight.To tired to fly or walk,he decided to drag himself under a big oak and take time to enjoy the simple things he once took for granted and rest.As the cloud of war and survival drifted from his mind,he couldnt help but to wonder how things where going back in Canterlot and the surrounding areas as well as what has became of his sister and his friend stronghooves.

 

*He has joined the NLR,he's my enemy but he is still my friend...what am I to do if we cross paths on the battlefield again? Snow would hate me if I killed him...He might try and kill me,could I bring myself to killing my best friend a second time just to save my own hide or because my princess instructs me to? Great! now I remember why I took up the supply chain here...I can't be left with my thoughts*

 

Giving a heavy sigh now that his mind was flooded with doubts and worries,Hail tried to force his focus to keeping out of sight and awake just in case there where patrols or scouts nearby

Runedust paced around the table in his temporary quarters,scowling as looked over the several maps and battle reports strewn about the room.

 

" This Lunar Empire is starting to aggrovate me...Taking the prisoners right out from under my nose after my victory in appleloosa,and with only two Lunar officers and a spy! Once I discover just who and where these ponies are,I will RIP THEM LIMB FROM LIMB!!!...No pony makes a mockery of me!"

 

With a hard buck the table flew across the room,splintering as it crashed into the wall in a flurry of partchment and broken wood.

Runedust turned and headed for the door leading from his quarters to the courtyard where he was to meet with the other Elites like himself to discuss what might be the next phase of their efforts to stop Princess Lunas rapid advancements and the dissaperance of key figures. He hated the meetings as they always seemed to be the same,hender his plans and complain about the current efforts and actions to bring the war to an end.

 

*why must my time be waisted at these meetings.I swear if our so called LEADER says anything about my efforts in appleloosa or praising Swiftgrace for something petty,I will knock his teeth down his throat...I should be the one giving the orders,after all I am the only one of us that seemes to be committed to putting that spoiled little filly of a princess back where she belongs*

 

Random guard: "Sir,the others are awaiting your presence in the..."

 

" I'M WELL AWARE..they will continue to do so until i get there,now move aside"

 

The guard stepped aside as Runedust continued on his way to where the meeting was being held.

Twilight's horn shined brightly and suddenly she could hear everything **now I got to focus on Rainbow's thoughts** she closed her eyes and relaxed making her horn shine more, and finally she could hear rainbow **Rainbow!** **Twi?** **yes, Rainbow how did you get caught?** **I sorta left the castle** **why?** ** never mind that, listen they got a magic field around the mountain, so I can't escape, they let me, to walk around talk to ponies,** Rainbow continued walking around the castle **okay, I'm gonna send someone to get you** **I also talked to Nightmare Moon** **you did? did she threaten you?** **no, she's trying to get me to join her** **did she tell you anything important?** **she said I can't talk to Fluttershy or Rarity, so I'm looking for AJ ** **AJ? be careful, I don't think she'll be real glad to see you** **Nightmare Moon said they can't lay a hoof on me, but that won't leave my guard down** **okay, seems you got that under control, I'm gonna send somepony to see if they can get you** **I highly doubt they'll break the magic barrier** Twilight put a hoof on her chin **I'm gonna ask Princess Celestia if she knows anything** **fine, make sure you get somepony fast** **don't worry I'll get somepony** **okay, 'm gonna keep looking for AJ** Twilight stopped the spell, and wen't back to Celestia

Rainbow walked around the castle looking for Applejack

Applejack was in a weight training room, with a punching bag being her current target. It had a picture of the sun on it, which she was relentlessly attacking. "Them damn Solarians...comin' over here, thinkin' they can take our land? Nuh-uh, not gonna happen! Ah swear ah get my hooves around one of them Celestia lovers...ah'll wring their little ruddy necks!" She pounded the bag a bit more, her anger seething from the small talk to Sunrise Song a day or so ago, that started pleasantly but took a downward turn when he mentioned his previous love for the Sun and how he wished that Nightmare Moon's Moon shone as brightly. "An' that...upstart pegasus, Sunrise...he's nothin' but trouble! How a pony like him even got on this side of the fence, ah'll never know! Such a sun-lover!" The last blow almost knocked the punching bag from its roost, as she finally stopped to breathe.

Rainbow stopped after hearing a similar southern accent and listened close, she heard "Them damn Solarians...comin' over here, thinkin' they can take our land?...." she smirked **so we took your land?If I recall Celestia owned that land first** she thought to herself, she kept hearing AJ's own conversation behind the door, even though they were in different sides, she missed her old friend, but she didn't wan't to let nopony know, not even Twilight and after she stopped talking she walked in the room, behind Applejack,
