@,

"Guilty as charged." Symphony chuckled as she dropped down to sit beside Percy, looking over at him with a look that was anything but guilty. "Hey, imagine if you hadn't flown for two years..."

Trailing off and looking wistful for a moment, she regained her composure and added "Thanks, by the way." With a genuine smile. She was doing that more and more often, smiling without it being an act or sarcastic gesture.

"Anyway! Enough sentimental rubbish, you hungry?"

"Anyway! Enough sentimental rubbish, you hungry?"

He chuckled, "Quite. I think I should still have some salad leftover in the fridge if you're interested."

He thought back to her comment about not flying. "It must be hell for her..." He inhaled for a moment. "Hey...y'know, anytime you want to fly...I would be more than happy to give you that chance." He smiled hopefully at her, "It's not fair that you don't get to do it anymore...so I figure it's the least I can do."

@,

"You really are sweet aren't you?" Symphony replied before doing her best to shift the subject. "Nice day isn't it? Gonna be plenty of sun, I could work up a brilliant light show in that!" She said airily, waving a hoof at the window and silently begging that Percy would take the hint and not try to press matters.

"Speaking of which, what is it that you do? Besides having an excellent eye for mares, I mean?" She winked.

He chuckled, while walking into the kitchen, and fetching a large salad. "Well, until yesterday, I worked at this restaurant...but I got bored of that, and quit...then I met Sabel, then you...and now we're here. I gotta say, I'm rather satisfied with how things have turned out." He winked back. He pulled a chair out of the table for the mare, then for himself, and sat down. "C'mon, time for breakfast." He grinned.

Vincent gave a smirk as she spoke of a love of pancakes "Than this place should be right up your alley. I think i`ll probably get something like turkey bacon.... er, synthetic of course." As they arrived her added "Oh, and trust me, this place serves some great coffee." Once they were inside, they had to wait a minute for a table, which Vincent spent making small talk. Once they got to the table, a little table for two abit off in a corner, Vincent pulled the chair out for Raspberry as he passed by before sitting on the other side.

He looked over the menu, ordering a coffee, black, just a touch of creamer, as he perused the menu. He tried to find something appitizeing that he could... well, physicallly digest being carnivorous.

@,

Accepting the seat with an overly gracious curtsy, Symphony smirked broadly as she sat down.

'Wish I could help, but conventional work isn't exactly my forte.'

"Lucky for me I guess." She said. "Or I'd probably be out getting hit on by creeps still..."

'... and probably be hunting down something shiny, valuable and less ruggedly feathered...'

This time, the smirk was directed to herself.

He chuckled, and began eating a bit of the salad. He was used to pony food now, but he still didn't hold it in high regard. Still though, for him, it would have to work.

"So...does that mean I'm the latest creep to hit on you? Or do I have to push a bit further to get to that point?"

Autumn Glow slowly stirred from her slumber. Last night, after hours of flying around above the city that never sleep, she had been too tired to actually enter her house. She decided to just curl up there on the roof, and now she was cursing herself for not choosing the much softer bed in her room. Her joints cracked in unison as she stretched her back. "Ohhh... Gods! That was awful!" She winced. After a few more moments of spouting nonsense, she finally flew into her house and started preparing herself for the day.

...

Lazily Autumn Glow drifted far above the streets, she was heading to the general direction of the cafe from yesterday. She was rather curious how the date between Raspberry and Vincent would turn out. She scratched her chin. It was a date, right? She shook her head. Nevermind, she would just drop on the roof of the place and see how it was. Nothing could go wrong from stalking a couple that might or might not be dating.

"Not quite, you'll have to try harder if you're aiming for creepy. You've stuck at 'intriguing' so far."

She began to eat the food set before her: it wasn't bad, especially considering it had been made by a carnivore. That was something she was still trying to get her head around: this creature sat across from her was a natural predator... and she was sat eating breakfast with him, telling him he was intriguing?

Sabel flew along slowly, her stomach growling.  The griffon had a scowl on her beak, looking around impatiently.  Does no place in this city have real food?  I haven't seen a slice of meat since I got here...  Sabel sighed, wondering if there was anywhere in the city where she wouldn't get in trouble for hunting.  Probably not...  And the city limits were far enough away that she didn't want to bother going that far out of her way to hunt.

With a loud sigh, she landed with a loud thump on a nearby building.  The city was waking up for breakfast, and even the fake food was starting to smell good.  "Man, it's tough being a griffon in a city full of salad eaters..."  The young griffon perched on the edge of the rooftop, looking around at the streets below.  She amused herself with thoughts of how a pony would taste.  Of course it's not anything she would ever go through with, but it made her laugh to consider it.

((Sorry for no post, im back))

Acid waited patiently as he was healed, and unconcious for "medical reasons" as soon as he was fixed, he had to figure out what had happened.

"Seems like your friends have left you already?"

'Stop, please.'

He thought to the voice.

Acid walked out of the building, with some casts in some random spots that their was no pain.

"Hm"

He decided to get something to eat, so he headed around Manehatten, wondering where he could find somewhere to eat.

He grinned at her reply, "Well, thank you miss uptight." He chuckled, finishing the rest of his salad. "Y'know...I could come up with a few words describing how I think of you..." His grin became a sly one, "...but I dunno...you may or may not like them...so I think I'll wait awhile before I tell you. Plus, that'll give me some more time to consider just what I want to say." He chuckled once more.

"Heh, well don't keep me waiting too long: I do enjoy hearing what others think of me."

She finished eating and pouted in a comical manner, laughed and flicked her mane back .

"We ready to go then? I could use stretching my legs - been cooped up inside for too long for my tastes."

"Very well..." He grinned, as he took the dishes into the kitchen. Then, in one motion, he swooped up the mare, threw her on his back, threw open the doors to the balcony, and flew out. "Hope you've got room to stretch up there, troublemaker." He chuckled, and flew towards a rooftop. When he landed, he chuckled at her once more, "Well...that's gonna take some getting used to. Not exactly used to supporting somepony else's weight as well as my own."

"You know..." Symphony grunted in response his snarky attitude as she lounged on the griffins back.

"I'm perfectly capable of moving without you carrying me." She finished coolly before reaching ahead and swatting playfully at his beak with a wingtip. "But since you insist, who am I to argue?"

@@TheLineTrotter,

Raspberry looked over the menu - they did indeed have pancakes, with all sorts of fruit toppings and chocolate chips as well.  She grinned at the sight of that.  She might get some chocolate chip pancakes with - you guessed it - raspberry topping, and would definitely get a cup of coffee.  She looked at the other offerings - fruit bowls, french toast, synthetic bacon and sausage, various pastries... there were almost too many things to choose from.  She stuck with her initial decision of chocolate chip pancakes with raspberries on top, and her cup of coffee.

She looked up at Vincent.  "I'm ready to order whenever you are," she said.

(Sorry I took so long to reply - was absolutely wiped out after work yesterday, and pretty much passed out on the couch next to my laptop, haha)

"Like I said: You know you love it." He grinned, "Hope you enjoy the view...this is Manehattan from one of its higher points." Now...about those words to describe you..." He inhaled, unsure of how this would turn out, "...well, gonna g'head and steal this one from you: Intriguing." He smiled weakly, "Intriguing, you're fun to be around, you don't mind taking some jokes." He laughed nervously, "Uhm...most of these aren't words, sorry...uhm...you're gorgeous...really cute..." The 'tough guy' Griffon was now practically trembling. He never expected to be to the point where he would have to express feelings.

Seeing him out of his comfort zone was oddly entertaining: he had teased her enough already - a little payback wouldn't hurt.

"Oh really?" Symphony chuckled lightheartedly at how nervous Percy seemed: the tables had turned it seemed. She dropped from his back and wandered around to face him at a leisurely pace. "Well thats quite a step up from intriguing now, isn't it?"

Stopping and turning barely inches from his face, locking her eyes onto his: watching him.

"I guess you're not too harsh on the eyes yourself..." She smirked without breaking eye contact. "... but don't let it go to you're head."

He sighed, and laughed nervously once more, "It's already there, hon'." He pulled away from her for a moment, and thought out loud, "Hey...am I just...I'm stupid...I must seem absolutely stupid to be trying to be with you." He blushed, more from embarrassment than anything else. "Life would be so much easier if I were a normal Griffon..." He frowned, a huge wave of self-doubt engulfing him. "Can, we...work?" He said with a hopeful tone, "Do you want us to happen?" He didn't exactly feel the kind of attraction to anypony else in his life, that he now felt for Wind. He wasn't sure what to feel, what he wanted to feel, or even what he wanted to happen. He was nervous and unsure of himself now.

@@scooterlou,

Vincent found himself being able to relax quite well in this setting. Between the smells of cooking meat and the hustle and bustle of the various ponies around him, he found himself very calm. He sincerely hoped that  the smell of meat wouldn`t bother the mare. He watched her look over the menu, having already decided what he would get. Once she spoke, he nodded, waiting for thier waitress to come by. When she did, he made his order. "I`ll have... the turkey bacon, smoked ham, and... sausage. Oh, and syrup. as for a drink... I`ll just have coffee, black." He handed the menu to the waitress, and waited for Raspberry to order.

(Heh, it`s fine scooter. You`re a teacher, right? Out of curiousity, what do you teach?)

"And I'll have chocolate chip pancakes with raspberries on top, and a cup of coffee with cream and sugar," Raspberry said, handing her menu to the waitress.  As the waitress left to bring their orders to the kitchen, Raspberry smiled at Vincent and said, "So, what's the agenda for today?  Or is it a surprise?"

(I teach IT workshops on a college campus - usually it's not a bad job, but I had to teach in an open area yesterday and ended up having to shout over another instructor in the cluster next to mine and ended the workshop with no voice at all and no energy... ugh)

"Raspberries, huh?" Vincent joked. Vincent couldn`t help but give a small smile at the mare`s clear excitement for the little tour. He only hoped he wouldn`t dissapoint. "I`ve got a few places in mind: I`ve got it all planned out, should be able to go to..." he thought about it, doing a few mental checks "To about 4 of the places i`ve got in mind, and still have time to get you back to the shop." he said, seeming quite content that he`d figured out. "But I dare not ruin the surprise." he said with a light chuckle. He wasn`t sure how well the mare would know any of the places by name anyways. Shame they wouldn`t be able to go to the Statue of Harmony... but it was out on a little island and it would take quite abit of time to go there if they had to wait for a ferry.

@,

'I've been asking myself that for a while now...' She thought.

She had no idea what was the right thing to say: the right way to act. Symphony's experience with relationships was practically exclusively in the way of deception as a means to an end. That, and something that just happened... and lasted roughly a day.

He sounded as confused as she felt: this was hardly a part if who she was. Letting others close was dangerous but... she wanted to. In his state though, her uncertainty wasn't going to help. She needed to be confident in what she wanted - in who she was!

"I'm not used to letting others get close...'dating' like this - Its not easy for me but... I'm willing to give it a try if you are." She said, forcing far more confidence into her voice than she felt as she followed his retreat by stepping forward after him - half a step to match his full one, leaving some space between them, but less.

"If I wanted to leave then I would have already. I'm right here... If you still think you can handle me."

He smiled weakly, but grew a confident tone, "Well...it's not handling you I'm worried about...it's scaring you away that I'm worried about. I mean, I'm new to this dating thing too...but I'm also a Griffon; I could understand that this could complicate things..." He stepped closer to the mare, and stared her in the eyes once more, he chuckled nervously, "Did I ever mention that you have...perfect eyes?" He grinned.

She rolled her eyes but smiled all the same. "Always the charmer aren't you? I could get used to that." She joked as she pressed a hoof against his beak.

"To be honest I kind of like the idea. The whole griffin thing."

Even to herself it sounded ridiculous. She blushed anyway.
