Ponies terraforming planets?

Say in a parallel universe of the show the Ponies have reached a stage in technology, where they can travel the universe quickly and have intergalactic civilization spanning billions of worlds across the universe. Who are apart of intergalactic alliance with billions of aliens, including us Humans. 

 

Would them having the ability to control the weather give the Ponies an advantage in terraforming planets? Say like Mars and what not?

 

Like Pegasi wearing space suits while terraforming a planet.

i have a feeling we'd see them as a threat in this circumstance which is a shame. I can't see that it would end terribly well. That makes me a bit sad.

I wouldn't say that they would be able to terraform Mars since there is no weather present on the  planet. I see them as a threat, but not on other planets besides Earth.

Multiverse Theory: Not every universe of where Humans exist are we evil. Same as not everypony is from The Conversion Bureau universes, that go around committing genocide on other races from different universes.

Why do you keep talking about the Conversion Bureau universe? I don't think those types of ponies would come to Earth. Also I don't think ponies can terraform planets without the right technology and magic.

Sorry not sure how to understand that reply.  First you'd have to dream that ponies would evolve to explore other worlds and conquer space and then you'd have to dream how humans would handle a sentient alien life form (that would hopefully still be peaceful).

 

Multiverse theory isnt really relevant in this conversation anyway.

I believe that even in the current age of equestria that if they wanted to they could terraform as they have lightning and magic.

(Those characters could probably equuaform a hundred worlds.)
