Tarot tied the rag around her waist tightly and pulled herself to her hooves, gritting her teeth as she did. "It's gonna take a heck of a lot more than that to kill this mare" she grunted, pain evident in her voice. "I'll.... Ill be sround a heck of a lot longer than you will" she said, shambling over to the writhing mobster on the floor. She brought her front hooves up over the monsters head and smashed them hard into the monsters skull. She fell to the ground in pain again, but this time she was determined to get back up

"I-Is it dead?" Pacific asked. If the thing was dead, he could move on to what he absolutely needed to do, heal his friend. She needs to be healed, as soon as possible. He thought. "This thing needs to die now!" He shouted. If the thing didn't die soon, he was just going to forget about it and just skip to healing Tarot.

Tarot would surely perish if she would not go on with assistance. The monster had the unfortunate fate with death,It too will happen. Run. Run Pacific run to her aid.

She was bleeding from her sid for than a couple minutes now, Her grey color started to fade into pale. She fell unconsious on the ground, a pool of blood forming around her.

"TAROT! NO!" Pacific shouted. He wasn't going to lose Tarot, not now. He cast the healing spell he knew, even though it drained most of his energy. I may lose my energy, but... If it's going to save Tarot, I'm going to do it... He thought. Once he cast the spell, he was on the edge of passing out.

Homeboard widened her eyes. Looks like this is no dream at all... She began to reconsider that. Wait...this could be a lucid dream. It's uncommon, but it's possible.

"God damn it, Homeboard, stop doubting yourself!" she shouted, hitting her head with her own hoof in anger. "Calm down..." she said to herself, taking deep breaths. This was seriously pressurizing her. Everything was so confusing, and she couldn't stop crying. What's happening...why am I even here...I just want to go home...

"NO! LOOSEN UP!" she yelled once more. At this point, Homeboard didn't know if she was peaking in insanity or just motivating herself. That's when she remembered the note: Kill or be killed. She wasn't alone in this. She was still alive. She is surviving.

Minutes later, she was sitting on her bed, attempting to clear her mind by listing her "rules of survival". She began to repeat what she believe was the seventh time: "One. Don't quit. Two. Stay calm. Three. I am surviving. Four. If I see somepony, be reluctant to trust. Five. I will do anything to get back to my loved ones, even if it requires killing another pony. Though I will mourn, my life is more important than another pony's life."

"Glad to help..." Pacific said, before collapsing on the ground. Normally a healing spell wouldn't take that much energy, but he had also been weakened from fighting that thing. How could I lose that much energy from one spell? I've never had a problem with it before... He thought.

Stardust watched as the void around her became something that was like the end, home. She could see the ruins of cities long gone and the bones of things long dead. She could see the mountains above her, they had stayed since the birth and even now they were still standing. Stardust recognized the time of her fillyhood, she could recognize the scenery.  The white stallion had taken her to the place where she once called home, but that was not possible. Unless... Unless this was Some Sort of dream state, somewhere you could be transported anywhere and anytime. How very goo.

"What kind of story are we telling?"

"A love story, perhaps, but more of a story of the under-race of ponies, trying to strive under the warring groups of demons, aliens and zombies. Their populace is close to extinction, it is your job, Stardust, to help them. Find them first though.

"And also, you can die here."

The wasted land was filled with half empty, half destroyed skyscrapers. Dangers filled the remaining debris of monsters, demons and aliens. They traveled in packs searching for prey. They use weapons ranging from pitch forks, lazer beams and bare hoof. Be warned.

Tarot smiled kindly at pacific as he fell asleep. She hoped that monster was the only thing lurking in the dollhouse, but she wasn't willing to put her guard down just yet. She examined her side. "Hear me roar, Hear me roar. Hear me ROAR!" A pony outside said. "I am the monster, I am the monster. I am a monster."

At first Tarot thought of the voice as a minor delusion but the voice repeated,

"Hear me roar, Hear me roar. Hear me ROAR!....

The rhythmic pattern grew closer and closer to her and his location.

"I am the monster, I am the monster. I am a monster..."

At the peak of this, the sound felt like it was knelt right beside her.

"Hear me roar, Hear me roar. Hear me R-..."

Silence.

Tarot turned around to see nothing. Her fear was evident as she picked up her knife and stood where she had the best chance of protecting pacific. "Alright ya bugger, let's finish this once and for all" she said in false confidence. The knife was held tightly by her jaw as she watched everywhere. " you aren't gonna knock us down" she said loudly. She saw no point to bring quiet if the monster knew where they were

Homeboard sat idle in her bed, refusing to move yet being compelled to by a unknown force. The frightened mare got up and picked up a knife and  held it in her hoof. This was her only defense against the unknown, the ugly and the monstrous. They say a good offense is the best defense.

She went out into the low lit hall and started checking each room, one by one.

Silence continued. For some time, the monster outside was quiet. Tarot and recently drained Pacific waited. Their time to strike was placed between the opening of the door and the mere seconds before it spots them. Aim for the neck, there is no other way.

Tarot heard the low breathing if the monster outside if the door. She hasn't noticed it until now. "Alright ya cretin, lets get this over with" she muttered under her breath, keeping her eye on pacific as she slowly inched towards the door. The breathing was more evident now. With one last deep breath she flung open the door and jammed the knife to where she thought the breathing was coming from

Nocturne was sitting on a stump eating a nice, hot meal of... something. He didn't really care at the moment. He just wanted answers, and he wanted them now. How can one simply jump all the way back to the first Griffin Pony war? Time didn't work like that! Nocturne needed to get  back, but first he needed to rescue his friend. Only problem was, he had no idea how...

@@MisterRe,

As luck would have it, Vincent was abit of a history nut, which one wouldn`t believe from looking at him. But, often during long flights, one would have to stop to rest, and a good book had been a contant companian of Vincent, and history was his favorite, especially military history. The problem was, he didn`t know exactly which battle this was... if he could get some sort of clue, he might be able to figure it out. As it was, however, he was currently locked in a room, alone, and with no way to check the date. He decided to preoccupie himself by pulling out the bullets from his leg with his talons... not a very sanitary job, but it was the best he could do. "fucking barbarians..." he mumbled to himself.

(Sorry, I've stuck on this for a while)

Vincent was taken out of hold and into the interrogation room. Ironically, The room had barely fit into the requirements of intimidating, it had looked like a foal slept here the night before, baby carriage and all. Military budgets had not been as good as it used to. Major Maningitis walked in, his suit shimmered like green grass in the summer.

"Easy way, or Hard way?" The major introduced himself "I know your kind, your a soldier just like any pony else in this base. We are actually nice folks, you see. Exceot that one fella that shot up your leg. Don't worry he's just mad for being placed scout."

"Easy way." The griffin peered downward, trying to fake indigence.

"Tell me the when is next attack on our borders" He asked.

"Tell me the date."

"November 21, 1996. Now tell me when's the attack"

Vincent remembered. The most memorable battle between The ponies and the griffons was tommorow. The griffins would launch a surprise attack on the capital, Canterlot, in attempt to kill their leaders princess Luna and Celestia. It was the bloodiest defense in history much like the Alamoo in the old western times. Only 300 stood against 100,000 griffons. Many innocent lives were taken that day, and that day was tomorrow

Homeboard was cautious, and held her knife in a combat position to whatever may come her way. The hallway was claustrophobic; she barely had any space to move around. Careful not to let her guard down, she kicked every door open, and assumed that there may be an enemy hiding in every corner. Only when she was certain that it was safe that she proceeded.

That's when she heard a faint sound. Scratch, scratch, scratch. She wasn't sure if it's a delusion, but it sounded very real to her. Then the noise repeated again: Scratch, scratch, scratch.

It's coming from the door... Homeboard presumed. There was something behind it...it could be something threatening. She at first wanted to quietly leave, but when she looked down the hallway, it appeared to be the last door not opened, and the other doors led to nothing. Whatever is behind there, it's preventing me from leaving. I have to take my unknown rival down.

In her mind, she began to count down. She needed to be ready, and took a deep breath every number she counted down to. Five...four...thr-

Suddenly the door opened inward, and out of the dark a knife thrusted out. In surprise, Homeboard attempted to evade the attack, but failing to do so. As she moved right, the knife slashed into her left hoof, leaving a deep laceration, with blood leaking out. When she felt the excruciating pain, Homeboard screamed in agony. "AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!! AAAAAUGGGGHHH!!!!" Immediately she dropped her weapon, and fell to the ground.

It hurt. It hurt so much. And she could only lie down and suffer.

@@MisterRe,

As his memory surged, remembering the coming battle he`d read about multiple times. Jeez... he didn`t know if he was actually in the past, or if this was some sort of simulation, or what... but he didn`t know if he would change anything by revealing this. He took a long breath. "May I have something to drink?" he asked, sounding a little desperate. He needed something to clear his head, and even water would atleast make his throat feel less like sand paper. The thing that bothered him about this was even more worrying... he knew that, in less than a month, was when Discord, lord of chaos, had started his rule. Now, information from during the rule of Discord was... hazy at best. Discord had changed it so everone could only write in absolute gibberish. By the time someone translated it, he had changed it to a DIFFERENT type of Gibberish.

"Nice interrogation room you have here. Very cozy." he joked, trying to stall. He wasn`t sure what for, but... "Alright, i`ll tell you what you need... tommarrow, Griffin forces will be attacking Canterlot. They`ve been spending months, years, hidding small bands throughout Equestria in preperation. By this time tommarrow, they`ll be attacking..." he paused, for dramatic effect "100,000 strong. And, i`m guessing, most of your forces aren`t at the Capital, they`re out on the field. and I wonder... how long will it take to get a message all the way back to Canterlot? Let alone get a full force out there..." he paused a moment, hanging his head. "You have my condolences." he said simply. He was more saying it for what he knew was going to come, with Discord`s inevitable arrival.

Tarot, with all her moral judgement, couldn't not bring herself to kill. But if she took the chance, the chance that she was just an innocent bystander, she might be dead for that wrongful descision.

Trust, How could she instantly trust a pony she had never met. She was armed because of who knows what. This could be a ploy, the injured mare could just as well be another monster, biding her time to strike at the correct moment. She couldn't take a chance, not with another life at stake. She looked at pacific.

He was with her this whole time, helping, talking and smiling. It was a strange feeling of attachment, it could be... love.

Pacific slowly got up, not sure what was going on. What happened? I remember using my magic to save Tarot and then... Nothing. He thought. He decided the one way to find out about what happened was to ask. "What did I miss?" He asked, looking around. He saw another pony, but decided to wait to figure out who it was until later.

"You thought I was dead?" Pacific asked. "I suppose it makes perfect sense..." He added. He decided to change the subject completely. "So, I guess there's three of us now then." He said. "Sorry for randomly changing the subject like that." He added quietly. Great, now I look weird... Especially around Tarot. He thought. He didn't know why, but he was starting to care about Tarot a lot more than he thought he would've.
