It seemed so welcoming as it gleamed back at him. With a few painful lunges, the stallion pulled himself up the halberd in the ground. He held the point of the blade towards his chest firmly. "I am not but without honor. I'm a monster that this world has no need of...My anger and rage will never cease...let this be the end of it."

They are in need of a general to lead them to victory against Darkspine." Said Light with a smile. "And you fit the bill perfectly. I couldn't ask for a greater general to lead the Storma people to victory. It's time to end Darkspine's reign of terror once and for all."

"Heh, you are strong kinsman...but mislead. I cannot be redeemed of my honor...The fifty Storma pegasi that disappeared..." The proud stallion now seemed weak in the eyes of the trio. "...I wasn't on guard that night when they disappeared...I was there...It was a lie to stay the executioner's blade." Filled with grief, he paused before continuing, "I...I was indeed there when they disappeared...when the fires burned once again. There was much ash and smoke." Bowing his head and staring at the blade, the stallion revealed his only secret that haunted him forever, "I...killed them. Stallions, mares and fillies...fifty...to my blade. I was commanded by the the head councilman himself to despose of a group of pegasi who instigated treachery to Storma...They were innocent. To silence me, I was banished...never to return. The horror in the eyes of those who fell...the blood...the screams..." Painstaken, Manechilles prepared to thust himself upon the blade as did the generals of old.

"I fixed that problem, too. When I went back, I stopped the leaders plans in action, and proved the innocence of the pegasi. The leader was executed, and a new one was chosen, a most honorable one." Said Light, grinning. "And I can bet you can guess who that was." Said Light. "The leader of the fifty. I made it look like you saved their lives. You are considered a hero." Said Light. "I prepared for everything."

Manechilles was immediately furious as he dashed the blade aside and grabbed Light forcefully, "Do you no see their faces?! Do you not feel their trembling hearts?! What of their cries as they died?! What of the taste of blood upon your mouth?!" Manechilles was shaking as he held a deathgrip on Light. He looked deep into the eyes of the stallion he held, "..no...you cannot always change what has happened...You cannot change all pasts...Some things cannot change...They may live, and it may never have happened now...yet I hear them still." Manechilles dropped Light abruptly. He was overwhelmed. "I know...what I have done..."

When you can stop things, feelings loom. But it's time we learn that there is hope for the future. And we can't see that hope if we stay in the past. Put it behind you, and help us I this final battle. If we win, we can alter the timeline so that this never happened. What do you say. Will you help us, GENERAL Manechilles?" Asked Light.

"Touching, and very well thought out light. I can see what drives you, but manechilles, I question you. Who's side are you on, what is it you want. Your going to have to choose. As for you light, I like your little time traveling show, reminds me of a pony I once knew. But anyway you have restored Storma, the question is, what now?"

"Now we save time. If it's broken, then I can't go back and mend it. We have to stop Darkspine. Manechilles is still deciding what to do, and we're going to need a lot of help to do it." Light said as he gazed to the tower. Three quarters of the troops had vanished. "When I went back and stopped Storma's destruction, it wiped out a lot of troops, so this will be easier, but this could either be the dawn of a new agr or the edge of time. Both of you need to decide your fate." Light said, switching his age between Manechilles and Zycrin.

Then froze.

Well, this sure wasn't her cloudy house on the hillside.

And yet, she couldn't remember exactly why she'd been at that house nor why she wasn't there any more.

She crouched, for she was in the dark and her eyes hadn't adjusted and she didn't want to get jumped.

Now, she thought, where the flaps am I?

Light heard the wind blow and immediately knew there was another pony who came to the forest. (Well this is just dandy. Do I stay with Manechilles and Zycrin? Or go to find this new pony?) light made an immediate choice. "Manechilles, Zycrin! Stay right here, I have to go find this new pony!" Light said as he dashed into the forest. Light arrived in time to see a rising pony. He had the cuts "hero" and "time on his arms, as well. "Hello, there! Nice to meet you. I'm Light Streak, and this is the end of time as you know it, but I can explain later." Said Light to Skylight.

Skylight nodded, checking her arms and raising her eyebrows.

"Okay." She said bluntly, "That's great. How can I help?"

 

Then, she felt the winds change, "I'm Skylight," She told him, "And some bad stuff just happened to the east."

She glanced to the sky, but the foliage blocked it out.

"Nice to meet you, Skylight. Sadly, the tragedy in the East was probably caused by what is going on here." Light said. "Time is being pulled apart, and that leads to nothing good. We need to stop the person behind it, a pony named Darkspine. Will you help me do this task?" Asked Light.

She blinked, "Sure." She lit up the scene with light from her horn, "Lead the way."

She took another glance at the sky. This time, she could clearly she several large, menacing, dark clouds making their way eastwards.

It was like they were anticipating something.

Worst thing was, she couldn't read them to find out what they were waiting for.

"Alright, then. Follow me." Said Light as he walked t the edge of the forest with Skylight. "Before you look outside the forest, keep in mind that you could see ANYTHING. This is the end of time, so be prepared." Said Light as he uncovered the destroyed Equestria. "That tower." Said Light. "Is where our target is. Give this new scenery a moment to sink in." Said Light.

Zycrin watched as Light went into the forest and then turned to manechilles. "Have fun waiting". Zycrin walked of into the shadows and seemingly vanished out of thin air. He then telepathicly conntacted Light. "No pony tells me what yo do. Not you or darkspire".

 

(No one tells Zyrin what to)

Light contacted back with "Have fun being alone in the forest. I've got the pony and have exited the forest already." Light said with a grin. "What? Are you just too slow for me, Zycrin?" Light said with a chuckle. "If you want to be dark, so be it. If you'll turn from it, that's great."

She grinned, "Yes sir... Who're you talking to?" She asked as she surveyed the land.

Well, this all seemed lovely.

Still, she had seen similar scenes, like the ones from the wars.

She shuddered, even now, her soldier like words came back to her, reminding her of her losses.

"I'm talking to a pony who is going rogue." Said Light. "I thought he could be an ally. But it seems that he will have to die." Said Light as the blade of time formed in his hand. "The blade of time. Capable of killing gods. And it will kill Zycrin if it has to..." Said Light softly.

"And are you alright?" She asked softly. She understood.

In the wars she was forced to kill time and time again and although she did not have to kill a would-be-friend, she had met a man who had. He was the saddest thing she had ever seen. Skylight looked out of the scene before her once again.

"I-I'm alright... But I don't want to have to kill him. If only there was another way... That's it! Blast! Blast! Where is Blast!" Shouted Light. "We could stop Darkspine once, I think we can stop Zycrin." Said Light with a smile. "This will be fun." Light commented.

Skylight smiled grimly, "If there is, We can find it.... Who's Blast? And why now is killing your would-be-pals fun?"

She sighed, "Y'know what, Sir? I think with your attention span and My confusedness, we could smother that guy, no questions asked."

She smiled lightly again.

Zycrin was listening in all the time, and decided that he was going to make the first move. He snuck up to skylight, then he got up and ran at fast speeds and punched her in the face, knocking a tooth out, then he kept running before he was out of view and hid back in the shadows.

"Oh, come on!" Shouted Light. "Blast is my friend, and killing isn't fun. I have something in store for ol' Zycrin. But first, you look like you need help." Said Light. Light helped to tend Skylight's wounds, and told her to stay strong. "There is hope. You, Blast, Silver, and I can stop this evil and save time." Said Light.

"Aw!" Skylight exclaimed in pain as her tooth fell out.

She frowned, "I can probably fix this with magic, but there's no time at the moment."

She looked around, the wind hadn't changed.

"I don't think he's gone too far, sir." She reported, "He should be around here somewhere. In the meantime, Mr, I'm going to stay as strong as I can." She smiled again.

"While it is true that there is no time left, we must stick together. Come with me. I'll bring you to Silver and Blast." Said Light. "They will help us. And you don't have to call me mister or sir, just call me Light." Said Light with a smile. And with that, he left the forest, hoping that Skylight will follow him.
