Zycrin had healed his wounds with his potions and thought to himself 'Full on assult will not be able to take out these ponies, I have to resort to my own element, the element of surprise'. Zycrin teleported near the ponies so he was close enough to attack but could not be seen. 'This ends now in there death or mine'.

((Skylight's a time pony. You kill her, she regenerates. You can give it a go, though, but she won't die.))

 

Skylight frowned. This shouldn't be as easy as it is. It shouldn't.

Something was wrong. Very, very wrong.

But what?

 

She opened her eyes to see the beam still up and running.

So what was it?

Blast pushed harder into the beam of light. The darkness blast and the beam of light were too equally matched. Blast was getting weaker and the darkness beam was beginning to overtake him.

"No... it can't end here, not like this..." He continued to push with all his might, but he could feel himself becoming more weak.

'Time to strike' Zycrin drew out his sword and teleported to an area above blast. Using gravity to his advantage he built up foce as he fell and eventualy thrust his sword through blasts heart. As soon as he done this he dragged the body of the way of the beam and set his body to the ground, he was still alive. "Poor pony, you could not save yourself, I would feel sorry for you, but why should I." Zycrin watched as blast bled to death infront of him, and he left a small note on his body.

"Blast!" Shouted Light. "No! This won't end so easy!" Shouted Light, drawing his blade light crossed over to Zycrin as Light saw his blade. It glowed with fire and fury as he unleashed Hell upon Zycrin, swinging with all his might, and at last, took one last swing toward Zycrin's chest. Light saw it hit him in a flash. "See what you get for being evil? You won't have this your own way!" Light shouted at Zycrin.

Manchilles dropped to his knees once the beam hit him, the darkness consuming him. He strained to glare at the ponies of light as his vision began to blur. A tear fell down his eye as he saw Zycrin and Light battling...suddenly, he coughed. He could feel his body filling with the crimson death. Through clinched teeth and a rusted voice, Manechilles spoke to Skylight, "Through time...and back again...forgive me my kinsmen..." Collapsing, the last warrior of Storma fell in the glory of battle.

Blast lied on the ground, feeling weak. He immediately timed out of his light incarnation stage, and changed back into his normal scarlet earth pony stage. He then saw Zycrin fall to the ground.

"Heh... how ironic..." He said in his dying breath.

"Damn it!" Shouted Light. "BLAST!!" Light began to cry. It was all over, sure. But at what cost? Everyone but Skylight were dead. But...

"That's it!" Said Light. Quickly, he got to work altering the timeline.

"Now, for the big fix!" Shouted Light. In an instant, everything was fixed, and everyone was alive. It was as if their quest never happened. Last, but not least, he saved everypony's life. They were alive. Light wondered what their next move would be.

Blast walked up to Light and gave him a high hoof.

"Well, we did it, dude. We saved Equestria again!" He said in a joyful tone. He looked over Equestria, which seemed to have returned to it's normal, lush state. Everypony was happy and darkness was vanquished.

"Well, I think we showed them they're place." He said in a cocky tone.

Zycrin felt the change in the world, it was all back to the way it use to be, the ponies where alive, the lushes green fields and the towns where back. Time iself had been changed. "So, you saved time, for now. Know this, that there will aways be darkness out there to challange you. There is no hideing, no escape only fear. We will meet again one day, I will alawys be there, the figure that follows you in the night, the shadow you think you saw, the noise you think you can hear. You will never be free". Zycrin teleported away leaveing a note on the ground, that simply read '3'.

Manechilles, awaking from his death that grasped him so, stood slowly looking down at the grass that tickled his hooves. The skies were blue and the fires of war were gone. Storma lived again...and his honor again had to be obtained. Manechilles looked upon the ponies who had challenged him in battle, watching how the pegasi and the earth-ri....earth ponies smiled and lived in peace as equals. He said nothing as he turned and looked into Equestria...the fifty were still out there and he had to find them. He must...it was his only purpose. For the first time in the proud stallions life, he had been humbled. Suddenly, he brought forth the tattered parchment he found upon the ruins of Storma...hate destroyed his people...perhaps peace would save them. With a gust of wind, Manechilles launched himself through the skies, continuing his search for the 50 lost pegasi.

Light gazed on the open sky. All was at peace, and Harmony was restored. As Light began to trot away, he couldn't help but feel like somepony was watching him. He shrugged it off! but he looked behind. There lied a statue of an angel. Light felt something wrong. He turned away. When he looked back, the statue was gone. "That's strange." Admired Light, walking into the sunset.

 

Meanwhile, a grey figure laughed in the shadows. "Hehe, those fools, I will vanquish them, and not even their precious Doctor can save them now!" The figure said. With a cackle, the figure disappeared into the night. A shriek came from nearby, but quickly faded. Little did anypony know, but now, not only is Equestria at stake, but the rest of the universe is as well...

This will be the sequel to "The Edge of Time." Here's a quick synopsis.

 

Many months after time was restored, the pony known as "The Doctor" has gone missing, and Light Streak the time pony is worried. The Doctor has left only one warning: watch the shadows.

It's a race against the clock as an evil from the Doctor's past rises with the aid of other villains. As dimensions cross, not only is the fate of Equestria at stake, but the fate of the universe as well.

Just don't blink...
