Manechilles knew he was overrun, even with this Sombra character by his side. It wasn't fair, he thought as he quickly jumped out of the way of a lightning bolt that cracked in front of him, how could anypony defeat such power? Knowing he was defeated, Manechilles stood firm. This was his last stand. In the corner of his eye, he saw his halberd that Blast had kicked away in the ground. Running, and being mindful to evade the impending lightning strikes, he swiftly grabbed the weapon and held it defensively...Manechilles called out to Sombra. "If there is some way you may grant me power that would defeat this trio or ensure their demise, do so. If you contain the ability to do so alone, do so!"

Skylight continued, relentlessly pushing the outsiders back.

"Nopony's getting through, you hear me?"

She shouted.

 

She heard Manechilles converse with Sombra, and she gulped, "Sir, you getting this?"

She asked, questioning his state.

 

"Blast? How're you holding up?"

Blast turned to Skylight. "I don't think we're getting anywhere with this joker in our way. I'm gonna try to reason with him."

 Blast facehoofed and walked up to Manechilles. "Dude, you do realize that if you let this guy do whatever he wants, he'll take you out, too, right?"

"Skylight! I'm here!" Called Light to Skylight. "Keep up the great work! And I'll get Sombra Blast. Before I do, I wanted to tell you both that you are amazing friends, and if we die, we die as a team." Said Light.

"Manechillessssssss... The bane of goooooooooddddddd.... You and Zycrin will be princessssss of darknessssss..." Hissed Sombra, granting Manechilles and Zycrin the power of darkness.

"Oh, no..." Moaned Light. "Blast? Skylight? We stand together. It's time to stop darkness, but we need something, and my gut tells me that I can get it." Said Light, concerned. Time was falling at the seams, and now we have THREE evil princes of darkness, this won't be pretty.

The evil power was amazing. He couldn't get enough of it. So this was the power what the earth ridden kind had...but better. Suddenly Manchilles hunched over in pain as his skin seemed to bubble. He coughed out blood upon the ground...What was going on?! The stallions eyes immediately became pure black as though he was soulless. Then he roared up to the sky in agony followed by waves of dark energy...his body wasn't reacting well to the dark surge, as though there was something within him was preparing to burst forth. Then, after an explosion of black tendrils and energy. The former Manechilles rose, darkness surrounding him, eyes filled with fiery blood. His voice was mutilated as he spoke, his mouth appearing like that of a volcano, "...now...perhaps...the odds are...even...mwaheheh" Tears were falling from his eyes as his now predator like teeth grinned hungrily at Light, Blast, and Skylight.

"Power, this is great". Zycrin teleported next to manechillies from where he was hidding. "I think we should give our new powers a test run don't you think. I'll go first." Zycrin built up power and used his new Dark magic to summon a form of lightning of his own which was targeted at Skylight.

He flexed his wings again that were now almost two times their original size and covered with darkness and tendrils. "It appears...we...have the same...powers...of olden ponies...during the great...wars..." He bellowed, screams molding with his voice.

Skylight Yelled out as she glared at Zycrin, jumping out the way.

"No." She said, and her horn crackled with lightning, "You shall not use my perfect skies as... as a Minion. Sir, I'm gonna need you to hurry with that Amulet thingymabob!" She called.

 

Then, she sent two golden beams of deadly lightning zooming towards Zycrin's face. They danced for a while, before shocking him.

 

She smiled, "There are other powers from the skies that I cold use... I'm just too nice." With that, another crackle of lightning was flung towards Manechilles.

 

It came to her then.

"Sir! I think I have an idea! We stand as a team, yes? Then... And I know," She said, smiling, as she knew she'd never directly told Light about her being a time pony, "That at school, they tell us: "Never Cross the Streams!" But Light, I think we need to combine our magic. What do you say?"

Manechilles took the hit from the lightning bolt, moving his body back. In response, the tendrils shot out of the ground below Skylight and latched on...sapping life from her hooves. Manechilles roared and shot a fiery inferno from his mouth at her then, trying to incinerate her.

Zycrin felt the blast hit his face. It knocked him back a few steps. "You are strong, but what happens when you lose your power"? Zycrin then used his magic and seized control over all the thunder in the sky. "Now experiance true power". Zycrin said before a barage of thunder at Skylight.

Skylight looked at Light, "Sir? It has been a pleasure, working with you. If I survive what I'm about to try... I really do think we should cross those streams!" And she closed her eyes.

"I'm sorry," She told the two evil ponies, "But you seem to have underestimated the true power of a Weather Time Pony." And with that, she fought Thunder with Lightning, muffling the Boom with clouds, before sending down a splattering of rain to extinguish the Fire from Manchilles,

 

Now to deal with the tendrils...

"Light, do you think you could cut through these?"

"We have to cross it, at least until I get the amulet!" Shouted Light as something formed at his hooves. "Hurry..." Light groaned as he focused more and more on the amulet. "Blast! Get ready!" Shouted Light to Blast. Blast had done this before, and It was time to do it again.

"I get it, Light! Time to power up and get hyper!" Blast focused on the amulet along with Light. In the process, the power of the amulet made him glow a vibrant whitish yellow. His hair also began to go from blue to a bright red, along with his eyes, which went from emerald green to the same shade of red as his hair.

"Success!" Cried Light. "Show them who's boss, Blast!" Shouted Light, now focusing on trying to obtain the light in him to come out. It was time to reveal the incarnation of light itself, ready to smite darkness!

"It won't be easy for them, lets amuse them for a while." Said Sombra to Zycrin and Manechilles, grinning. "Le them come."

"Yes," Manechilles' disembodied voice hissed, " let's." Suddenly he blasted high into the air before stopping almost another tower's length in the sky. "A history lesson for you..." Manechilles pointed a hoof at the trio, "the Pegasi were the first to rule the skies and beyond. My kind were denied magic like the unicorns because we would know how to control the skies..." then a smirk came upon Manechilles face, "...and beyond." Shooting forth from his body like a bullet, darkness began to pierce past the skies.

Skylight smiled softly at Manechilles, before saying, "And the Time Pony Pegasi ruled you. My kind," She said, lowering her head, joining her magic with Blast's, it came out as a light blue colour, the colour of the sky on a spring day, "Are their Direct descendants. I am a Time Unicorn, my mother a Time Pegasus, so came my love of the skies. And I'm sorry," the clouds puffed out the darkness with their whitening colours, "But your time? Just ran out." She shot forwards her magic to dance around Blast's for a mere moment, and in that moment, the others could see the clouds, the sky and the sunset, at one time, together. Then that moment passed, and Skylight felt the magic fill her up, so she let it, and her magic joined with Blast's.

 

"Sir!" She called, "I think it has something to do with your ancestors!"

"Indeed!" Shouted Light. We need to keep it up, and I can join with Blast, hopefully." Said Light. "We only did this once, so we have to be careful." Light sighed. We had three darkness incarnates. But he remembered what his grandmother had told him as a child, "even with the odds stacked against you, never back down from what was right." It was time.

Manechilles laughed evilly, "It seems you are ready to play your last hand, but can you call my bluff?" He raised his eyes towards the sky where his darkness had shot through. After a second, he slowly looked back down at the trio. "If I will not inherit this world...then neither shall you." Suddenly, the temperature started to rise and the sky became increasingly bright. "Surrender Light! And our petty world will live."

"If it's so petty to you, why not just destroy it? If darkness is going to corrupt this world, it is not one I wish to inherit. This world will eventually pass, but a new one shall arise. Oh, Manechilles? There's one last thing you've forgotten. and that is that I never leave home without a backup plan." Said Light, grinning. "Sombra gave you powers, so by the power of Celestia, we are the incarnation of light!" Shouted Light, beginning to morph. Light became completely white, with glowing yellow eyes and a red mane. "Blast and I are the incarnation of light, and we won't be defeated by the likes of Sombra or his puppets." Said Light, blasting a light streak at the darkness, swatting it away.

"Is there no end to their power?!" Manechilles growled. "Perhaps your world must die! You have one minute till the stars come down upon this world like flies over rotten flesh! There is only one failsafe and it shall not occur unless you surrender fools!" He could sense them getting closer and closer. He was hoping his bluff would work....but if it didn't..."Do as I say warriors of light and bow to lord Sombra!"

"You have no power over the glowing stars, wielded of darkness! I will not bow to tyranny!" Light shouted, forming a wave of light. "Here's a new deal. How about YOU surrender, and you get to live." Said Light in a cocky tone. "This light streak can kill anything dark!"

Blast began to arise from his hooves and into the air. "Time to put these guys in their place!" Blast then jetted into the pitch blackness of the sky. in a split second's notice, he was looking across from Sombra, Zycrin, and Manechilles, staring into their eyes. 

"Are you totally sure you guys wanna go through with this?" He asked. "Even if you do, there's no way you can succeed. Even if you do beat us and cover the world with darkness, there won't BE a world."

But I will not want to see the world destroyed, Mane are you sure this is the only way we can win this, I have one final card to play, if you will let me". Zycrin knew that this plan of his would go of easly as it was going to target the source of there power.

"If you fail, I will reign down the heavens...but it's already in play. You don't have much time." Manechilles claimed. "I won't execute the failsafe until it is for sure victory!" He glared menacingly at the Light trio.  "So this is how the warriors of light barter? I fear there is an evil even greater than us Zycrin..." The stallion laughed.
