Should the Elements of Harmony defeat the villains differently?

Whenever a villain comes by, the ultimate showdown is Twilight and mane 6 use the Element of Harmony and destroys the villain with a TASTE THE RAINBOW, MOTHERFUCKER! Way that is pretty boring now. it's really epic but something different would be nice. My way for the Elements is like all of the colours of the amen 6 sending auroras upwards and come together in a white light which targets the villains in its chest and completely destroys it.

 

So, do you think the Elements of Harmony should use a different way, if so, what way would you have the Elements do?

They have been used as a bit of a duex machina .  Though they didn't defeat Queen Crysalis.  That was another duex machina.  The show tends to have very very quick resolutions where the main villain is defeated very very quickly.  That seems to be the style of the show.

I feel that for villains that can be redeemed, they should get the TASTE THE RAINBOW MOTHAFUCKA treatment. However, for villains that absolutely cannot be redeemed, then the Elements should destroy them by combining all their energies into a bright white spear of light (see what I did there?) before impaling the villain through the chest, overwhelming his/her insides with powerful magic that shoots out through his/her mouth and eyes, before opening up several other holes in his/her body, finally culminating in an explosion which destroys the victim completely, with nothing left.

I think I know what you're saying, Firebolt. But that's a bit too violent for the show, at least for four year olds.

 

Generally, in this show, people's eyes turn that shade of nuclear white when they're casting a powerful spell.

I know. I just love explosions, ja? Anyways, yeah. When I said what I said, I didn't intend for the actual destroyer spell to be too graphic. Then again, the kiddies aren't quite up for explosions yet, are they now?

Yeah... poor kiddies. I don't think explosions are all that wrong, nor immoral, I mean, come on, they're science, but even though I have no problem whatsoever, I'm just saying Hasbro, being Hasbro, probably will.

It doesn't seem very harmonious for the Elements of Harmony to obliterate enemies violently.  Anyway, villains who can't be redemed by the Elements seem to be petrified until they can. That's what happend to Discord at least.

Well, in this case I was talking about villains who are too evil to be redeemed, as in they possess an evil that cannot be extinguished. So while they can be petrified, it was just an idea I offered up, for the Elements to deal with those types of villains accordingly.

I am a big fan of Anime so when I found out Sunsets role in the movie and her background I Thought she was going to be like Marshall D Teach from One Piece or Orochimaru from Naruto. But I was wrong, very wrong

As horrible as that turned out to be, it's still irrelevant to this topic. The bottom line here is that I was simply offering up an option, and thinking about it, it does sound a little unharmonius. Unfortunately, it's all I got at this point. So if you'd care to help out, that'd be swell

I don't know about you guys, but to me, the Elements of Harmony definitely need a shakeup beyond the repetitive Harmony Blaster. And my suggestion on that?

 

Well, I'll leave you with a hint. We still have yet to see what happens when one single pony uses all of them at once and is also backed by the Magic of Friendship in order to gain their full power.

 

And after that, it doesn't have to be so uber violent, either. Just charging into the villain's gut a few times will do. =P

 

As one would say, sometimes you have to be a little violent in order to restore peace and harmony. =)

If you ask me, I'd say it's clear and present danger, that has to be eliminated BY ANY MEANS NECESSERY.

And yet, Her Highness and Mane Six never used Elements of Harmoy - that, ah, so powerful weapon - on him.

I'd go further and suggest, Her Highness never even planned to do that.

 

So, I believe, EoH is not a weapon at all. It's some sort of control mechanism that is used to harmonize certain types of creatures.

Maybe the one thing the elements need is to show that they aren't a weapon and can't do everything. Their main purpose appears to be to restore the balance of nature and stop anything that threatens that balance. Nightmare moon was threatening to plunge the world in darkness, something that doesn't happen naturally and would've prevented life from even stating, let alone stopping it all together. The elements purged her of the evil aura spawned by her jealousy. Discords very presence warps reality,the cornerstone of physical logic and reason for the world. He had to be petrified in order for the world to maintain itself. Sunset shimmers power came from the elements, so pretty much the elements just took that power right back. Had Sombra been confronted with the elements, he probably would've been defeated, seeing as how his malevolent intentions warps the minds of ponies and corrupts the landscape they reside in.

 

But I think there's one foe the elements wouldn't have worked on, and that's Queen Chrysalis.  Leading a swarm on a city isn't unnatural. Insects overrun areas all the time. Cities do fall to invading armies. Still part of the natural order. What would they have done to her anyways? Purge her of evil? She did what she did to feed her subjects, out of necessity. Petrify her? Her very presence isn't doing any damage.

 

So in short, maybe they way to defeat villains differently, is to not defeat them at all.

I agee with this somehow. What if they gave us a villain who actually won but was forced(possibly by Discord) to leave the scene before he could finish the mane six off and he bows to defeat them for good when he returns

For some reason I want the season four villains to be a pony version of the rowdyruff boys from the Powerpuff girls. Imagine an evil male version of the Mane six. But ofcourse with actuall personalitys unlike theRowdyruff boys who all had the same stereotype personality
