Anyone a fellow fan of The Prisoner starring Patrick McGoohan? I mean the 1967 original show, not the remake. I think it really is an absolute gem. It's pure genius. Granted not every episode stands out, but most of them are a thrill to watch! If you like older shows then I highly suggest it. It is mostly a mind game though, and involves a lot of contemplation. That's why I find it fascinating. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this show?

Yup. I just barely missed seeing it when it was first broadcast (I was born later in the year it ended), but it's one of my favorites.

What's your favorite episode? Mine is Once Upon A Time, the second to last episode. It was amazingly intense.

Oh yes, Once Upon A Time is my favorite.

 

There was a pretty reasonable comic mini-series follow-up that was published several years ago called 'The Shattered Visage'. I recommend it. I don't necessarily *agree* with all of it, because one of the plots in it is a bit too obvious, but it does have the right feel to it.

Thanks for that heads up, I'll definitely check it out. Do you have a top three? I'd say the next two would be The Schizoid Man and Hammer Into Anvil. I'm surprised I found another fan here so quickly.
