Dear Sir or Madame,

 

On the behalf of Lunar incorporated, you have been invited to participate in the very first Tournament of Legends. The grand prize will be five hundred thousand bits, along with anything your heart desires. We hope to see you at the tournament, and you are able to bring anypony along. The tournament will be held in the five arena domes around the main headquarters of Lunar Incorporated on Dewpoint isle.

 

Requirements to win: Knock out for ten seconds or kill your opponent

Tempest landed on a dock on Dewpoint Isle, and noticed several large buildings. "I guess this is where I'm supposed to be." He thought. "At least I can just knock someone out to win." The cyan pegesus then trotted towards the main area.

Tempest soon arrived at the center and waited for anypony else who got the invite to com to the tournament. "This should be interesting," He thought. The cyan pegesus then gazed into the sky.

 

Satosha smiled as he trotted out onto a stage on the town square. He then waited for the seven other fighters to arrive.

Frost flashed onto the dock in a bright burst of magic. His cloak and hood draped over him. "Celestia, these things are becoming habit for me." he scoffed as he trotted to the center of the main area. He sat next to tempest and began to look from under his hood. "So old friend. I see you've been brought here as well. I must say it's good to be in your company, but I'd prefer it differently." he said not making eye contact.

Equinox appeared on the dock. "Well this will be fun I get to kill other ponies in a tournament..though Equinox probably wont let me being the kill joy he is" Deranged said causing Equinox to come back. "I am only knocking them out because I only let you out when the opponent tries to kill me" Equinox replied

Valus landed on the deck and saw the other fighters. "So this is the competition. Let's get this over with, I have a job to do". Valus was going to kill the other. Any of them who thought that they could take him on in a fight was going to die a horrible and painful death.

Tempest glanced at Frost and simply smirked. "So do I, my friend." He said. The cyan pegesus then noticed a few of the other ponies arriving. "It seems that we aren't the only ones here."

 

Satosha simply watched as the fighters began to arrive. "Only a few more to go, and the tournament can begin." He thought.

crimson smirked as he looked out over the city from the deck of his ship the Blaze Of Glory, "interesting, this city is a pretty decent size...but I've seen better...anyway, I should hurry up and get to the tournament before I miss any of the fighting! I hope I'm not late!" thought crimson as he tied his ship at the dock before making his way to the arena. After a short walk, crimson finally entered the arena waiting area with the other fighters, sizing some of them up, and crimson smirked at what he saw, "tch, not bad! some of these little fillies might actually be a challenge! especially with some heavy hitters here like Tempest, Equinox and Frost...this should be a very interesting tournament!" thought crimson as he leaned against a wall in the corner of the room, his hat tilted low over his face obscuring most of his features, save for his glowing red eyes as they peeked out from under the brim of his hat, observing the increasing number of contestants with growing interest.

Equinox turned and saw Crimson. "Oh great he's here...meaning I cant kill him cause Equinox is friends with him" Deranged thought gaining a reply from Equinox. "He's not really a friend more like and adversary besides I only kill when the opponent tries to kill me" Equinox replied to Deranged

Valus pearked up his ears at the new pony in the room. He raised his head and looked at him through his goggles. 'Crimson grinn, pirate, killer, captain of ship Blaze of Glory. Powerful and skilled fighter, skills honed by years of practice. Threat rating 8.7'. Valus did not avert is eyes back to the ground, he just stayed motionless, observing, waiting.

crimson noticed valus staring at him from a few feet away, seemingly sizing him up, crimson merely smirked at this, finding it ironic that he was bring examined when he originally started out examining everyone in the first place, "hey four eyes! its rude to stare, if you have a problem with me, then just say so! don't stand there and check me out!" said crimson with a chuckle.

As Rut-Light approached and entered the specified destination he was still confused, 'A tournament?  Why would they choose me, i'm 55.'  The demon inside of him known as Midnight Inferno just grinned and mumbled, "You have me, remember?  I'm the source of your power."  Rut-Light just ignored him and wandered around the waiting space, observing the other competitors.

Clayton appeared on the dock and simply walked towards the main area. He soon noticed a few of the other fighters had already arrived. "I guess this is where I'm supposed to be." He thought, before he noticed Tempest and Frost. "I was wondering if those two would be here."

Valus's eyes where diverted to the two new arrivers, although his attention was more on Rut-light. 'An old man, what is he doing here?'. Valus wanted to know. "You there, expain to me, why are you here. Your and old pony and have no place amoung fighters, you should leave now before you get hurt, or are you hidding somthing?". Valus observed him more closely, trying to figure out why they let an old pony into the arena.

Rut-Light turned to face the pony who had spoken to him and replied, "Really?  Is it that unusual?  In all the 55 years I have been alive not once have broken a bone or received an injury upon the serious level, but mind you that I am not weak; I may be hiding something but you'll have to wait and see what that is."  Rut-Light didn't like being called old, 55 wasn't even considered old, old was when you reach your mid 60's in his book.

Satosha sighed. "I might as well do something." He thought. The pony then stood up and grabbed a mic. "Hello, Everypony. My name is Satosha, and I shall be your host for this tournament. While I see that one fight has yet to arrive, we shall begin. " The screen behind him lit up, and a picture of each contestant was shown. The images were then randomly shuffled, and assirted into brackets. They were also assigned one of the four arenas in the area.

 

Tempest smirked. "Well Frost, it looks like we 're in the second arena." He said, before trotting towards said area.

"I'm going against somepony named Rut." Equinox said as he looked around and saw the pony named Rut. "He looks pretty old...but age doesn't define how. A pony does in battle" Equinox said. "Will you knock him out Equinox" Deranged asked. "Yes I will...unless he tries to kill me" Equinox said

Frost turned to Tempest and then the screen. "Indeed, it will be good to battle you again, it has been a while." he said as he trotted towards the arena. "Good luck to you my friend." he said once he wading the arena. He dropped his cloak to reveal chains coiling up his fore legs, daggers on the ends.

This is going to be a great fight. The most renown pirate on all the seas vs the most brutal and smartest pegasus alive. This will be a battle to remember'.

Tempest smirked as he got ready on his side of the field. "So, do we just start whenever we feel like it, or do we have to wait?"

 

Satisha simply smiled. "Soon, my plan will come into fruition." He thought. "I will have the ultimate hero." The pegesus then smirked and went back to his office.

Frost smirked, "Who cares? Lets just fight already, I've been training since our last time" he said his blades began to glow, his shadow turned white and began to spread. "Chain Shadows." he muttered as the shadows came up from the ground and formed spikes, launching themselves in Tempest's direction

Tempest smirked and dodged tha spikes. "I agree, but I have trained, as well." He said, as his aura surrounded and drifted away from him. 12 tails, twelve gates, one aura beast." A dark smile grew on Tempest's lips. "I hope you know what you and every other fighter has gotten themselves into.

 

(Speaking of which, all the other fights can go on, seeing as how there are multiple arenas.)

Rut-Light walked to his end of the arena that he was supposed to head towards and waited for his opponent.  He was up against another pony that went by the name of Equinox, 'What a strange name...of course I've heard crazier things.' he thought, he glanced around the arena and could see ponies everywhere in the stands just itching for the action to start and for it to heat up.  Lets just say: it's going to feel like an inferno if this pony tries to kill him.

"Well...time to kill some time hopefully my opponent doesn't try to kill me" Equinox said as he headed to the arena and laid his sheathed katana on the floor and made two orbs appear next to him. "Just knock him out for a few seconds...if the opponent tries to kill Deranged will be able to fight" Equinox muttered to him self

Frost stood still. "I've fought against you and with you. I know exactly what I'm getting into. The real question is.....do you?" he said as he caused himself to replicate leaving twelve exact clones of him self spread in a half codle type formation. "Have at the friend!" he yelled with a chuckle.

Tempest simply facehoofed and smirked. "I see you have been learning. Simple clones will not be enough, however." He said. The cyan pegesus then slammed his front hooves into the ground, and pillars of aura lifted the earth in front of him,before lobbing it at Frost. "This should be fun, though I intend to save Xena for another fighter." He thought.
