Shadow looked down when he heared Rains comment "Mind reading can be a pain sometime" he said to himself. "Oops," she said sheepishly, and this time as she rose she leaned over on her good side to even out her weight.

 

"Oh! Your leg is hurt isn't it? I have something for that."

*Riza quickly went into her bag and pulled out a small vial with an orange-green liquid in it.*

"Here Rain, drink this. Slowly, and be careful, its rather bitter. But it will fix your leg up in no time. Instant pain relief and accelerated healing. Plus, it will strengthen your bones."

"Wow, thanks so much!" said Rain, and she sipped it before making a face and forcing herself to swallow.

"Blurgh!" she said, shaking her head. "Now that is just plain nasty."

"Its worth it. Within twelve hours your leg will be all healed up and better than ever. But once we've found the herbs I need, you should get some sleep. It works best if the injury isn't strained."

Ten took out a mortar and pestle and ground up a few of the flowers. He then sprinkled some drying salts on the paste he had created and ground it up again. He soon had a fine blue powder which he filled each of his 20 metal balls with. He then sealed the openings with corks that had a small metal pin in them. Once he finished his invention, he went about attaching them to several belts. "who wants to help me test out my latest invention?" he yelled into the camp.

Twister was sorting out the supplies when he heard Ten speak up.

*Riza was in the forest sifting through bushes and plants, searching for the herb she needed. Suddenly she heard a hissing coming from deeper in the forest.*

Power Ten grinned, "they're anti-magic bombs. They use the properties of poison joke to prevent the victim from using magic. Follow me, I'll show you!" ten walked towards the clearing near the camp.

Rain was nosing through bushes when she heard Riza speaking. "Did ya say something, Riza?" she asked, not noticing the rustling of bushes behind her...

Rain limped as fast as he could up to Riza. "Let's get out of here!" she said, grabbing the herbs Riza had collected. "Fly up above the trees so he doesn't look you in the eyes!"

Rain stumbled into camp, panting. "Cockatrice..." she said, and stopped when she saw Boots. "Uh...should I ask?"

Shadow gets up to screaming "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH IM HAVING A BAD ENOUGH DAY!" he said as he got out of his tent. he saw Riza and Rain running away with a Cockatrice following them "TAKE THIS" he said as a purple beam of energy flew out decimating the cockatrice to ashes "better?" he said as he walked back into his tent

Ten pulled one of the bombs off of his vest, pulled the pin out with his teeth and threw it into the clearing. It bounced a few times, then gave off a loud bang and a huge cloud of dark blue smoke appeared out of the tiny ball. "I guess I can call this invention a success." Ten smirked.

"Shadow! What was that?!" said Rain, staring at the small pile of ashes in amazement. She followed him into the tent.

"I think you need to calm down a bit. We're not here to incinerate everything in our path," she said sternly, pointedly looking at the canyon he had created earlier.

"Riza found an herb that might help you a bit." Rain placed it in front of him. "Eat it. It'll make the visions go away for a while."

She sat down, smiling grimly. "And I won't stop pestering you until you do that."

*Riza suddenly crashed down from the sky, having tried to fly from the panic of seeing the cockatrice. One of her wings looked like something had crunched down on it, but it wasn't bleeding.*

"Eat it? haha im immortal, i dont eat things...but if it makes you feel any better..fine." he ate the herb" visions are not what i have, its called insanity, it has no cure" he said with a crooked smile.
