ooc Return of the Dark Lord (OOC) (Sign-Ups are still open!)

Before Celestia or Luna, there was Lord Darkspine, the ruler of all darkness. He ruled over Equestria with an iron hoof for centuries. That is, until two sister mares named Celestia and Luna dared to step up and challenge him. In a grueling battle, the two sisters came out victorious, leaving Darkspine near death. Celestia and Luna locked Darkspine in an endless void of limbo, where Darkspine vowed that he'd one day return to Equestria to kill Celestia and Luna and reclaim his throne. Years after being sealed, Darkspine escaped the void, but he kept it intact. Instead of going back to rule a world he once ruled, he decided to rule a world all his own. For centuries, Darkspine has traveled to many different worlds, enslaving them and adding them to his seemingly endless empire. The Dark Lord will finally return to Equestria with his new empire and an army made up of many lands. He will attempt to not only kill the princesses, but to add Equestria to his empire as well. However, that won't be easy. A group of brave stallions and mares will enter Darkspine's realm and attempt to put and end to his scheme. And, maybe, restore each world he now possesses.

 

The rules, I think are a safe bet you know. They're pretty much your standard roleplaying rules:

• No God-modding. If you try to god mod, you're out.
• No mary-sues.
• Be sure to keep up with the RP.
• Once we go into the dark realm, no one else can join. Only the people who signed up prior to it can go.
• You can control up to two characters.
• One of those characters can be one of the mane 6 (Of course, it's optional.)
• You may have blood, but keep it to a minimum.
• You can swear, but keep it PG-13
• Nopony can kill Darkspine. This may sound like I'm not abiding by my god-modding rule, but he isn't meant to die. He can be brought down, however, which is how he can be defeated.
• No alicorns whatsoever.
• Oh dear god, please use good grammar. I do not tolerate bad grammar in roleplays. If you don't know how to spell something, simplify it or simply Google it.

I'm going to let anyone who joins think up of one of the worlds we'll be going through when inside the dark realm. It can be pretty much anything you want. The world will have to contain a ruler, though. In the dark realm, the ruler of all the worlds Darkspine has taken over had been corrupted and is under his control. So, basically, just make up a world for us to travel through, complete with it's own obstacles and challenges. If you want to give the ruler abilities and a name, you can do that, too. However, this is optional. You don't have to do this in order to sign up.

So, yeah. That's basically it. I hope this one turns out to be awesome! (This is the first RP I've made, by the way.)

I was thinking of a world filled with insanity, causing everyone who lived or entered to be affected by it. The closer you got to its leader the more powerful it becomes.

I guess there's really no limit. Just don't make the place a giant death trap where defeat is certain. You can pretty much use your imagination here.
