For in your mind is the answer I seek

A quick look upon me is all you need do

And tell me of what you see…

 

Can you tell me of what I’ve seen?

Or the many things I’ve done?

 Perhaps all the pain I’ve ever felt?

 

Please, tell what you know of me

Me, and my heart, which you cannot see

 

Does my attire reflect my morbid history?

The conflict of minds which I have faced?

What of the days I lived for others?

 

What exactly can you assume of me from the coat I wear?

Do you know of those who walked beside me from my shoes?

 

If ever again you seek to judge, look beyond the casual glance
