ZomBrony 347 October 20, 2013 Share October 20, 2013 And I need some help from all of you guys. This project is to select a non-profit organization and write about how they put "The Circle of Faith" into action. Right now, I need to know some charities that the fandom in general has donated to, I know we've done so before. I'll also edit in any other help I may need. The Prime Reaper 180 October 20, 2013 Share October 20, 2013 To Christians, this fandom is satanic and ballsh!t. Using religion on MLP may be somewhat a bad idea in which it might offend the Christian community. I don't know who gave you the topic but this topic is pretty hard to think and apply. ZomBrony 347 October 20, 2013 Author Share October 20, 2013 (edited) To Christians, this fandom is satanic and ballsh!t. Using religion on MLP may be somewhat a bad idea in which it might offend the Christian community. I don't know who gave you the topic but this topic is pretty hard to think and apply. It's not quite like that.. Only Part A is even about that and it's hardly related to religion at all. I just need to tell her when the "organization" started, what its mission statement and goals are, who they help, how they promote themselves and volunteers, what volunteers do, and the services it provides. Wingnut 6,998 October 20, 2013 Share October 20, 2013 Well, the only thing I can think of off hand is the charitable effort spearheaded in the forum by Feld0 himself. Each December, he hosts a fundraiser called Making Christmas Merrier and the money is donated to BC (British Columbia) Children's Hospital in Vancouver.
MelancholicMemory 2,025 October 20, 2013 Share October 20, 2013 Doctors without Borders and Habitat for Humanity are both two pretty cool charities. I especially like the former. It's probably best to never even consider MLP while doing school projects by the way.

I've actually been using MLP in a lot of projects since I joined the fandom and I've never been given a hard time about it, my teachers have even praised me for being so creative before so I think I'll continue with that. Also, I need to be sure you know that we've donated to both those charities before. Have we?
Misty Rose 3,216 October 20, 2013 Share October 20, 2013 Interesting project. I wish you good luck on it. I'm sure you'll find something cause as far as I know bronies have donated to various charities. But I can't think of the names at the moment 1 My OC: http://mlpforums.com...pink-mist-r3726 TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK OF ME HERE!! Want a sig like this? Check out my thread! Also my point was not that doing a project based on MLP will affect your grade, but rather it is just kind of a ridiculous decision based on colorful horse mania. duidamasterXD 9,627 October 20, 2013 Share October 20, 2013 @ZomBrony, just letting you know that I've edited the title of your thread slightly to reflect the question it's asking, and moved it to the Sugarcube Corner section since it deals with the brony fandom
Scootalove 10,689 October 20, 2013 Share October 20, 2013 I don't really remember the names of the charities that the fandom contributed to but, I I think we donated to a hospital if I remember correctly. I hope you find a charity to donate to. Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
NocturnalRainbow 248 October 20, 2013 Share October 20, 2013 http://yoursiblings.org/ Bronies have played a HUGE part in this charity represented in the many fundraisers "bronies for good" has put on for them. You can also check out the bronies for good website here. http://broniesforgood.org/ 1 Oh

Well I'm a colourful horse maniac so I always do anyways. xD And I guess that does count since you /are/ a Brony. Thank you for your help.
Denim&Venöm 19,095 October 21, 2013 Share October 21, 2013 The Brony Thank You Fund is a pretty big one we did. The goal is to establish a scholarship at the California Institute of the Arts, AKA The Derpy Hooves Animation Scholarship, in order to support the next generation of young artists and animators. I contributed, and I got a free calendar for it. I just have to wait until Feb 2014 to use it.
*Rarity 123 October 21, 2013 Share October 21, 2013 This seems like a hard thing... I mean, does a fandom actually go together and give to a charity "together"?Personally I've given lots of money to Child's Play and EFF (through Humble Bundle, atleast 100 dollars so far, so 50 each to those two) aswell as about 4 dollars to Watsi, and about 16 to Clowns Without Borders.I have no clue what the "fandom in general" gives to, and I'm not sure how you're going to measure that. Good luck with your project nontheless.
