Today was the day. Locke Green had been preparing for several years for this moment, and it time to go. He said his goodbyes, grabbed his Lillipup and set off. Locke put Blue in his bag, as the pokemon liked fresh air but didn't like walking around. The small pokemon kept his head poking out of the bag, sniffing the Autumn air around him. Locke and his companion found themselves in a Pokemart, the perfect place to buy items in Acai City.

Lurele finished braiding her hair and tugged on her boots, looking at herself in the mirror.  With a wide grin she pumped her fist and turned towards the little tadpole pokemon sitting on her bed.  

 

"Alright Poliwag!  Are you ready to start our journey!?"

 

"Poli!"

 

"Great!"  With a laugh Lurele held up Poliwag's pokeball.  "Let's get going, then!"  With a flash of red Poliwag returned to his pokeball and Lurele placed it carefully in her bag, turning and running out the door.  She would have liked to leave the little pokemon out with her, but Poliwag tended to get uncomfortable if left out for a long time without a chance to swim.

 

Where to first?  Oh, probably the Pokemart...  I should stock up on supplies before we head out, after all!

As Lurele walked into the shop, she smiled as the first sight she saw was a Lillipup poking its head out of a boy's bag.  "Aww, hey there little guy."

Blue began wagging his stubby tail ferociously at the sight of a new face. Locke turned around to see a girl standing behind. "Oh um hi this is uh... this is Blue. I'm Locke..." He spoke quietly while Blue struggled to pull himself out of his trainer's bag. He managed to jump out and immediatly went over and put his paws on the girl's leg. "Blue you know not to do that!"

Lurele laughed and leaned over to pet Blue, scratching the Lillipup behind the ears.  "It's alright, it doesn't bother me any.  Nice to meet you Blue."  She grins as she looks at Blue's trainer and winks at him.  "You too, Locke.  I'm Lurele.  And I have to say, you have a very cute pokemon."  

 

She straightens herself again, grinning as she hooks a thumb around the strap to her own bag.  "I'd let you meet my pokemon, but it's a little dry in here for him.  Say, how's the selection here?  This is my first time visiting a real Pokemart, I haven't had a chance to look at their wares yet."

Locke's face grew slightly red when Lurele winked at him. Talking and interacting with females wasn't something the guy was good at, and he felt awkward talking to them. "Um... no I don't know... I think it's just stuff like pokeballs and potions though, nothing too special..." Locke turned and quickly bought ten pokeballs, receiving a complementary premier ball by doing so. He quickly turned back, feeling like he had been rude for turning away in the middle of a conversation. "Yea it seems like that's the kind of stuff they have..."

Lurele laughed as she stepped up to the counter.  "Great, just what I need to get started."  She asks the clerk for a dozen pokeballs and a couple potions, casually placing the items in her bag after handing over the cash.  She turns to look at Locke and grins again.  "Say...  Are you just starting your journey too?"  

 

It wasn't until now that Lurele noticed that Locke didn't seem all that comfortable.  She glanced around, trying to figure out what was causing his discomfort.  "Er, are you alright there?"  It never really occurred to her that she could be the one causing his discomfort, but she was willing to try and help out!  "You're looking a little hot under the collar there...  I can bring my Poliwag out if you're over heating or something, his water gun could fix that right up."

Locke's face grew an even deeper shade of red. "Um no I'm fine... I just get warm really easily. Hehe..." It was sort of a half lie, since Locke really did get warm easily, but that hadn't been why his face was so red. He gave a sort of sheepish grin. "And yea I'm just starting."

Lurele grins and jerks her thumb towards her chest.  "No way, I am too!  Which route were you planning to take?  I still need to study my town map a little more, Poliwag and I are hoping to go out and catch some other fighting types though!"  She holds out her hand in a thumbs up, winking at Locke again.  "I suppose I should mention that.  I'm going to be a fighting type master, just you wait!"  

 

Laughing quietly she shakes her head a little before smiling at Locke again.  "I don't suppose you'd want to hang out, for a little while at least?  If we're both just starting out, it could be more fun having someone to walk with for a while.  I don't think Blue would mind."  With another laugh she grins at Locke's Lillipup, reaching to scratch the pokemon's ears again.

Eric woke up late. The sun was shinning in his eyes but he didn't mind because today was the day he would start his Pokemon journey. He sat up and stretched out. He looked down to see his Lavesta sleeping next to his leg. He reached over and gave the Pokemon a gentle nudge.

 

"Wake up Larva, today's the day!" He whispered in a loud tone. The Lavesta woke up and looked at its trainer with tired eyes and a smile

 

"Larvesta."

 

Eric smiled and got out of bed, he pored out some Pokefood for Larva and went to his closet. He put on his green shirt with his black jacket and blue pants. He grabbed his bag and ran out his door, Larvesta following behind.

 

"By mom I'm leaving!" Eric yelled as he ran out the door.

 

"Not so fast young man, aren't yo-" She was interrupted but a kiss on her cheek don't wait up he yelled back running off down the road. 

 

"Okay first the pokemart." Eric stopped by the mark and walked in, he noticed two other trainers with Pokemon.

 

"Hey" He said. My names Eric, and this here is Larva." He gestured towards his Pokemon that stood next to him.

 

"Larvesta!" He called with a smile. Eric gave a chuckled at his Pokemon. He then looked back at the trainers. 

 

"What are your name's?" He asked with a smile.

Locke was surprised at the suggestion. He figured he would be traveling alone with just himself and his Lillipup, since he wasn't really very social. But he was pleasantly surprised and nodded his head slowly with a smile. "Uh yea sure... That'd be cool I guess...."

Locke turned around and looked down at the newcomer. Locke was exceptionally tall for this age and was often times mistaken for being older. Blue snapped his head over and cautiously patted over to the Larvesta and began sniffing the pokemon. "Oh um... I'm Locke..."

Grinning as Locke agreed to travel together, at least for a little while, Lurele turned towards the newcomer.  She thrusts her hand out and gives Eric a thumbs up, laughing quietly.  "Hey Eric, hey Larva.  I'm Lurele."  She leans down to get a closer look at Eric's Larvesta, holding her hand out to the small pokemon with her palm up.  "Aww, another little cutie.  You know what, Poliwag should come out and say hi."  

 

She reaches into the bag hanging from her hip, pulling out a pokeball and letting it pop open with a small flash.  "Poliwag!"  Laughing, Lurele nods towards the other two pokemon.  "Go ahead Poliwag, say hello."

Larvesta watched as the other pokemon walked up to her. As the lillipup sniffed her she looked at it oddly, she then gave a happy call in asurance to the lillipup. She then looked over to see the other trainer sticking her hand out. She talked over and was about to nudge her hand when Larva heard those words she hated.

 

"Oh another cute little pokemon!" At those words, Larvesta truned her head at the trainer.

 

"Larvesta." She grunted and crawled back to Eric. He gave out a nervios laugh and looked at Lurele.

 

"Sorry about that  she dosen't like to be called little." He smiled and then looked at the two. 

 

"It's nice to meet you both, and you guys too."

Eric kneeled down to get to eye level with the other pokemon. He looked over to the Poliwag.

 

"It's nice to meet you Poliwag, your tainer seams like a nice person. I wouldn't let her get away." He said winking at the Poliwag. 

 

He turned to the Lillipup and smiled. 

 

"You too little guy."

 

Game rose and looked to Lurele.

 

"So I'm guessing you'r on your first pokemon journey right?

Today was Gabriel's 18th birthday and to celebrate he finally left his parents house.  His parents forbade him to have or do anything poke'mon related because they thought that he would always be getting hurt.  While walking to Acai City he found a poke'ball left on a park bench.  he looked around but he didn't see anyone and grabed it to discover it had a Chinchou inside.  "wow a real poke'mon.  Why would a trainer just leave one behind though."  seeing this  Gabriel decided to have Chinchou as his starter.  "Hey Chinchou do you want to travel with me I was just heading to the poke'mart wanna come along."  Chinchou jumpped up and down happily.  "Ok then let's go." he put Chinchou back in his poke'ball and went into the Acai City poke'mart

Oscar Claude was on his way to the mall, he was running later then he had hoped because of how long it had taken him paint supplies, especially the canvas and frame, into his bag. Though there was quite a bit still poking out at odd angles he decided to just left it as it was so to leave. His sister had been waiting her him and after a bit of teasing had finally showed him what his starter would be. It was a budew, which disappointed him, yet his sister assured him the pokemon would become beautiful if he trained it right. He was told her name was Chloris and give a stone being told to hold onto it. After this he has rushed out pokemin in arm as he did not feel he had time to put it into her ball.

 

 

Which was were he was now, rushing with some unbalance and trying to avoid hitting others but eventually he made it. Considering he realized he had not thought about what he would buy before asking Chloris, "what do you think I should get?"

 

His budew gave a questioning call before he continues, "ah yes poisons, pokemon balls, and food for you. I should also see if they have any bathing products for plant types, I want you to be as beautiful as can be."

 

The pokemon seem surprised and turned to look at Oscar who said, "don't worry I will take care of you, Sarah gave you to me." With that he headed in."

Running a comb through her scruffy hair, Sam turned around to face Psyche, her Solosis. She had recently received it as a gift from her aunt and uncle, who thought that it would be the perfect Pokemon for her. If Sam was completely honest, she would have preferred a fighting or a dark type, but she was content with Solosis, she could always catch a different Pokemon later, right?

"Alright Psyche, we're startin' our journey today! We'll have to train hard if we want to defeat the Champion, or even the gym leaders, but we really need some supplies. Let's see what we've got..." She said, before raiding a draw in her kitchen while her parents weren't looking. All that was inside was a half empty potion.

"I guess it'll do for now. Let's go to the 'Mart, they'll probably have some better stuff there. C'mon!" She said, before slinging on a tattered rucksack and heading out, her Pokemon floating alongside her happily.

When she got to the PokeMart, she noticed how crowded it was with other trainers starting their journey the same day. She told Psyche to go into his Pokeball while they were in the shop so that it would be less crowded. Sam, despising crowds, started pushing through the crowd, knocking into people and yelling things like "'SCUSE ME, COMIN' THROUGH." until she got to the counter. From there she bought a few Pokeballs and some potions and got ready to leave.

"Gaberial got pushed by someone and said "hey you could have just asked instead of pushing me." He said to the girl who pushed him he got what he wanted and started to think "I wonder if there is a gym in this town?" He thought to himself as he checked out and started to leave.

Sam rolled her eyes at the guy who yelled at her.

"Yeah, I probably could have done, but this way is quicker." She said, looking him up and down critically with a raised eyebrow, before turning back around and paying the clerk and putting her stuff into her rucksack. She then shoved through the crowd again in the same manner as before, heading for the exit.

"Well sorry for trying to be nice and letting you know that besides I'm gonna go looking around to find out if this place has a gym I can battle against to try and earn a badge."  he told her as he walked out the store and started to look for the gym if there was one.

Eric was pushed and was a little closer to Lurele then he should have been. He blushed at backed away from her. Putting his hand on the back of his head and looked at her with a nervous smile.

 

"Sorry about that." He said turning to the trainer that had stopped yelled something and continued out the door. 

 

"What's got her in such a hurry?"

Locke shrugged. "I was, um, planning on going to route 2, in case you guys were interested..." he mumbled. Picking up Blue, he smiled shyly at the two aspiring trainers in front of him. Locke hadn't been good at making friends but what was there to lose here? They seemed nice enough and Lurele had already suggested they go adventuring together. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad...

Eric smiled at Locke.

 

"I don't see why not." Eric said turning to the counter buying his six balls and putting them on his belt. He turned and gave a devilish grin to Locke. 

 

"But first, you have to beat me in a pokemon battle. You win and ill come with you on your journey, if not I'll still join but i've been dyin to have my first battle. So what do you say?" Eric held out his hand waiting for one of the trainers to accept his offer.

Gabriel looked back when he heard the word battle he looked back and saw a trainer ready to battle he brought out his Chinchou and said hey Chichou wanna watch a poke'mon battle?"  Chichou nodded his head the two looked back and waited to watch the battle unfold.

((Ack, time to play a bit of catch-up.  Didn't have access to my computer all day.))

 

Lurele snickered at Eric as he was shoved into her - it didn't really bother her, shy had never been a word used to describe Lurele.  "Heh, no worries.  You okay?  And who knows, people are always in a hurry."

 

She turns to smile at Locke as he speaks up, giving a thumbs up.  "Route 2 is more of a plan than we had, right Poliwag?"  "Poli!"  "Right!  Anyways, we were just planning to pick a direction and start walking.  Don't suppose anyone knows what we might encounter on Route 2, huh?"

Just then was when Eric challenged Locke to a battle.  With a wide grin, Lurele leaned down to pick up her Poliwag and took a step back.  She grinned at another trainer who was holding a Chinchou and seemed eager to watch, before addressing Locke and Eric.  "Heh, umm, you two might want to go outside first...  I don't think the shop keepers are going to appreciate a pokemon battle knocking things off of their shelves."

Eric turned to see his announcement had drawn a small crowd, then her heard Lurele say that they should go outside first. He nodded at her and turned back to Locke with his smile still showing, making it look a lot more friendly then before.

 

"So Locke, what do you say?"

((Not sure how Pokemon encounters go in a roleplay, so tell me if I'm doing anything wrong. Also, I'm gonna have to let my Solosis learn Rollout two levels early, assuming they start at level five, as the only move Solosis knows until level seven is Reflect.))

Sam ran towards the nearest route, which happened to be route two, and headed straight for the tall grass, hoping to find a Pokemon. Sure enough, after a few minutes of looking she found a small Pidgey. She sent out Psyche, telling him to use Rollout. However, before he could do so, the Pidgey flew off.

"Fine, leave then! See if I care, you've just lost the chance to be in a league beatin' team!" She yelled after it, hiding her disappointment, then she started hunting for other Pokemon in the grass.
