Power Ranking

Hello, my first post so I decided to start off strong. How do you think the ranking of power goes in terms of raw destructive ability? My personal opinion is:

Elements of Harmony: The Rainbow Cannon takes down everything

Demon Sunset Shimmer: Was able to take the Elements for longer than any other villain and what she corrupted required separate shots to heal

Discord: Owned Celestia and Luna with little trouble

Crystal Heart: Power of an entire city is stronger than the love of two ponies

Shining Armor's Shield: Wrecked Chrysalis

Queen Chrysalis(love powered): One shotting Celestia

Nightmare Moon: Stronger than Celestia but not owning her

Sombra(body): Required both Princesses to put down but when they combined, was one-shotted

Celestia: I got the implication that being older, she is stronger than Luna

Luna: Like I said, I go by the fact that if she's younger, she's weaker

Sombra(smoke): Being held at bay by his weakness but not being seriously hurt by it.

Twilight(magic burst): When enraged Twilight can shoot anti-tank round level bolts and lift entire trees

Chrysalis: The Changelings seemed pretty weak without their love draining

Trixie(with Alicorn Amulet): Stronger than Twilight but not by a huge amount and if Twilight had a magic burst, Trixie would lose

Twilight: Able to free Cadence when she could not

Sunset Shimmer: Implied to be rivals with Twilight

Cadence: Unable to break through the same wall Twilight coul with ease

Shining Armor: Defensive spells galore

Twilight Sparkle's power reminds me of a huge magical burst, since she is really experienced with magic. So, of course she is really powerful.

We talking can do the most damage in general or a more personal 1 on 1 fight type situation?

As I see it, Celestia/Luna/Discord should be at the top in a league of their own, if only for the reason they can control celestial bodies. Dropping the moon onto the planet or burning the planet in the sun is quite a hard ability to beat.

 

After those three. the other big hitters from the show could be pretty interchangable on the list. I'd put Cadence/Shining and Twilight below the baddies though as not one of them have been shown to have the individual strength to defeat them. Having said that though, Sombra's power was merely hinted at and Chrys's required preperation.

I would Twilight at first, she's really powerful. After that it's King Sombra, he's a bad-ass, and then Shining Armor and Cadence.

Ah, your powers are a lot lower than mine. I go off of Celestia being able to destroy the Sun, which puts her in the billions but your way could work too. On your scale, they're all mid tier DB characters with the exception of Discord and the Elements being mid-high Saiyan Saga. By my scale, it's low tier Cell Saga to High Tier Cell Saga. The only problem I see are in the power gaps.

 

AJ vs RD: RD and AJ are shown to be equals, I don't see a gap.

Rarity: She has plenty of control over her magic, but I don't see much to put her above a regular unicorn

Celestia vs Luna: That's a 15 percent gap, similar to the gap Vegeta had on First Form Zarbon. I don't see Celestia one-shotting Luna so by your numbers, I think Luna is better at 70

Powered Chrysalis vs Celestia: The gap is too small and is similar to the gap Tien had on Goku in the Budokai. Chrysalis one-shotted Celestia, albeit with effort. By your numbers, I'd put Chrysalis with love at about 90

King Sombra: I think he's too high. He was destroyed with ease by Celestia and Luna combining their powers. If you want to have Sombra stronger, I'd put him at 100 but no more.

 

By your numbers, where do you put Demon Sunset Shimmer? 

 

*Note destroying the Moon requires a power level of about 123, so you scale from there*

 

Celestia=4,161,250,000=Celestia can control the Sun with ease everyday. Stands to reason she can destroy it. 

Luna=4,000,000,000=Roughly Celestia's equal but a bit weaker

Chrysalis(love absorbed)=4,868,662,500=One shotting Celestia with effort

Discord=93,000,000,000=casually making overpowering Celestia and Luna and solar system reality warping with ease

Elements of Harmony=111,000,000,000=Owning Discord

Sunset Shimmer=99,000,000,000=Slightly stronger than Discord and making the Elements struggle but ultimately losing.

Sombra=4,200,250,000=Stronger than one royal sister but defeated when they combine.

Love Shield=5,800,679,000=Tossing away but not killing Chrysalis and her entire army with ease

Crystal Heart=7,354,95,000=Utterly destroying every last trace of Sombra

Discord > Fucking everyone, minus a true set of EoH wielders. One does not defeat a reality warper without the EoH or another reality warper. Don't care if you got demon powers from your crown or have an army of Changelings. No matter how much power and magic you got, you can't stop an entity of nature that can bend the rules of the universe. With Discord, it comes down to 'No EoH? Let's see how long you can last in the ring before inevitably losing.'

For all we know, the separate shot things wasn't a sign to show she was stronger or more difficult to beat, but was simply the writers and animators trying something new. They do use the Elements a lot, especially the flying twisting rainbow of doom, so they'd likely try new things whenever they could as to not bore people :3 The littler details of how it stops large scale enemies has never been seen before, either. Discord and Nightmare Moon were singular entities, so it may just be how the Elements work.

Discord had corrupted other ponies yet when he got stoned, they were cured. You could be right about it being a visual effect, but we have to take it literally for now
