gaming Ace Attorney series (Phoenix Wright)

I just beat Dual Destinies. Great, really memorable ending.

Only one thing to say, an opinion which I believe many of the reviewers reflected:

I absolutely NEVER would have believed...that THAT PERSON...was the real culprit. Such an amazing twist, even WHILE I was considering absolutely extreme possibilities.

Apollo also absolutely got some moments of badass-ness to make up for some kinda ridiculousness in his previous game.

I have not played the series yet honestly, but I want to. I have been watching Turnabout Storm lately though, and from that the series looks like it'd be something I would enjoy, so I'm certainly thinking of maybe purchasing the first game at least sometime soon. :)

I saw a let's play of the game and never had played the game myself. I can ssay that this game is quite interesting story-wise and it keeps me guessing. I don't think it's hard though and is pretty easy sometimes.

Guess I have the Turnabout Storm project to get me into the Ace Attorney series.

Thought it was a GBA game at first.

I'm in the process of playing Case 3 right now, I'm enjoying it very much. I'm excited to see all these plot twists that I keep hearing about near the end of the game.

I can sense the spoilers just waiting for me...

Well...yes and no. The very first anyone saw of Turnabout Trial was in Japan, where it premiered as a GBA game, and got two sequels in the following years. Later, during the DS' lifetime, they remade the game with a dual-screen user interface, and released it as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney in other countries; translating its two sequels over the next few years. More recently, the trilogy has been released on iOS as well!

There's also a few spinoffs: Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney is officially the fourth game in the series (in which a likable, struggling beginner is cruelly overshadowed by a somewhat rude and controlling rendition of Phoenix Wright...), and Miles Edgeworth got two of his own games labeled "Ace Attorney: Investigations". All of those were made for the DS, so their sprites are a bit higher quality.

Oh, and I should also mention Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, on DS and iOS. It has nothing to do storywise with Ace Attorney, but it's made by the same creator, and has a number of the game's charms and unique characters, as well as an insane, complex mystery to unravel. It's also where my avatar is from!

Howdy folks!

I have the game and finished it.

Its pretty darned great!

I know it stinks for PW fans that wanted a physical game card for DD.

But its well worth the $29.99 at the Eshop.wink.png

I did hear about the  6TH case and thats up to Capcom to put it up as a DLC so we'll have to wait & see if Chapter 6 is US bound.

(People been asking them about it on their forums and the AA Facebook page)

Cant wait for Professor Layton VS Phoenix Wright in the Spring of next year.

See ya!
