Has anyone heard of this brand new stupid-looking,shameless, lame and ridiculous MLP ripoff? It's like a mixture of g3 and the new care bears done in CGI.Undoubtedly it'll be insanely obnoxious

Yeah, I did see it. To be honest, it doesn't look that bad in fact it looks better than G3 My Little Pony and the company who made it admit that they are not competing with Hasbro at all.  Besides, some people judged it solely on the trailer alone.

Who knows. I'm willing to give it a fair shot though, and I hope it's at least....tolerable...to watch without wanting to bash my head against the wall.

Of course they'd disclaim any competition or relation in their media choice in relation to Hasbro and MLP. That'd be the equivalent to sticking a big fat sign on themselves saying, 'Sue us, Hasbro :D'.

 

 

It's very, very difficult in most cases for one company to sue the pants off another company for stealing any amount of their idea unless there is cold, hard proof. This is precisely why you see cereal brand rip-offs in grocery stores, for one random example. Honey Nut Cheerios, Fruit Loops, etc, they all have more than one cereal brand made by lesser known companies who want to get some amount of free ride due to the similarity. These brands are blatant rip-offs, that any fool with eyes could see, but it doesn't matter, because since the company is not using any specific characters, logos, names, etc, they are not technically 'infringing'.

 

Welcome to the world of trademark laws that were written hundreds of years ago before the internet, and still haven't really been updated :3

 

Ergo, companies will do this all the time. The basic mindset goes along the path of, 'They liked product A, let's make something super similar, without treading onto any specific trademarks and copyrights, and see if our own product B gets some of that same attention! :D'

 

Bottom line is, no matter what these guys might say, the fact they have a cute pony show about magic and unicorns and friendship and magic that's popped up (still not that long) after MLP:FiM has taken the world by thirteen different kinds of storm, the chances of them having never, once, taken Friendship is Magic into heavy consideration and basic use for their show premise is astronomically improbable.

 

TL;DR lolno they lie; maybe they're not directly competing with Hasbro (as competing with the world's biggest toy seller is suicide unless you're Disney), this is a pure and simple rip-off and everyone knows it

That all said, I have no issues with the show from its' trailer. The fact one of the main characters is a pony that's a boy is somewhat refreshing to see, honestly. Not sure if (somehow doubt) I'll ever become a fan of this thing (better than S3 or no, it's still a massive step-backwards from the walls and ideals FIM has broken and treaded), so, whateves mang.

...I hope that one day, I find a full-length episode of this show on Youtube. Because when I do...I'm going to watch it. Obvious rip-offs are just too shameful to let fade into obscurity without having a good lulzy laugh with them first.

At first I were not interested in Filly after watching the toys in Germany. But now I buy Filly toys and I am looking forward to the show.

I saw the trailer, it was flame-bait central, at least the company tried to respond politely to the responses, you can't say the toy-line is an absolute rip-off as i think i heard the toy line came before the MLP franchise, there was a comment there that believed that the show will be popular enough to start a fan war between MLP:FIM and Filly Funtasia.

it seems good,the animation seems fun. although i see it getting better and better. the main cast seems ok and the theme is catchy,extremely catchy,hopefully this will be another horse show we all love
