gaming Battlefield 4's Campaign

I'm creating the thread just to hear what you guys thought of BF4's campaign.

I personally, didn't like it at all. It was too simple. In almost every mission, it was 'shoot these guys, move to this objective.' There wasn't much of it. And the campaign is unbelievably short. It didn't seem to be a campaign, more of STAR TREK LENS FLARES ERRYWHERE1!!!!!!11!!!!1, LOOK AT THIS EPIC PARTICLE EFFECT.

But, in the end, it was slightly better than BF3's campaign.

Guys, try not to reveal spoilers when talking about the campaign.

I do not have the game so I am not too qualified to comment on its quality, but I have heard it is around 4 hours long. That is a bit idiotic to me. I know Battlefield has been about multiplayer most of the time but the potential for an incredible campaign is there and the way they hype it, it sounds like it is! Sadly, it seems that isn't the case. It has that potential but it seems EA doesn't really care in the end.

I actually kinda like the BF4 campaign, its a huge step forward from the BF3 campaign (god, that was shit!). Whether you like it or not, you have to play through the campaign because you unlock the CZ-805, AUG-A3, FAMAS, and M4 for multiplayer by completing the missions

It was pathetic. I only enjoyed the first two missions and the rest was just a crap fest. I'll admit though, it is a lot easier to get through when you have two semi-auto grenade launchers, a automatic shotgun, and a sniper rifle. vsTALhM.png

Since I kinda rushed the campaign I finished just over two hours, though the average FPS fan would go about four to five.

In all honesty, I wasn't expecting much in the first place, though this was pretty bad. Just my opinion though, just didn't have what I look for in a FPS campaign.

Oh! One cool thing I will admit is now you can actually take down the helos before they drop the troops, meaning I saved myself time by sniping out the pilots and skipping an entire 20 min fire fight :P

It takes you 20 minutes to shoot 6 guys? lol Also, you can use a rocket launcher to blow them up.

Through the entire campaign I used the UMP45, a sniper rifle, C4 and a grenade launcher.

The campaign in FPS games has always been rather lackluster in my opinion, it's like they don't even try to write something, they just use some kind of machine to select random action movie tropes and use those.

Forgettable in pretty much every aspect, but I'm not surprised. I don't know if it's even possible to take a modern military shooter and create a campaign that's not a generic action movie with player input. Yep, it gets a 5 from me; not bad, not good, just there.
