Introduction:

Hello Bronies. This thread is for the goal of having a Pony as a playable character in League of Legends!

I know it might seem fairly plain, but I have no idea how to flare it up (a moderator doing that would be awesome!). Everything needs to start somewhere, and I am giving it a positive attitude and my the only effort I can figure out how to give (when not doing work/college).

How you can get involved:

1. Sign up right here http://signup.league...7251ef575998569 and play to level five. We need ten thousand people to do this to achieve our goal.

 

2. Tell me what you want! This champion will be for the Brony community and BY the Brony community. In the OP I will try to keep the most popular ideas so everyone knows how things are developing.

 

3. Share your League of Legends in game name! Who better to play a great game with than other Bronies?!

 

4. Network! Help spread this idea and get things moving by telling everypony else about it.

Remember that this shouldn't take anything exactly out of My Little Pony for copyright reasons.

Abilities:

These are all just ideas, the most popular ones will be listed here.

 

Passive Ability Options:

Generosity - +2.5 gold per 10 seconds for all allies.

 

Activated Abilities (3):

Dash - Makes a short charge in specified direction, pushing other units out of the way and doing damage to any that were pushed.

Thundercloud - A dark grey thundercloud materialises as the Pony jumps, landing on the cloud and sending out lightning, damaging and stunning nearby enemies. The jump maintains momentum to allow the Pony to use it while moving and continue movement afterwards without a hitch.

Cider Everywhere - The Pony drinks some fine Apple Acres Cider, restoring X life and granting Y movement speed for Z seconds.

Laughter - Heal target ally for X amount (+Y per Ability Power).

Kindness - Stun target enemy for X seconds, but deal no damage.

Loyalty - Replenishes target allies mana/energy by X and grant them additional Attack Damage and Ability Power for Y seconds.

 

Ultimate Ability:

Rainbow Sonicboom - The Pony sends out a rainbowy sonicboom, damaging all nearby enemies and blinding them momentarily. Upon activation, the Pony also shoots in the specified direction, landing (range to be determined) away and leaving a rainbow trail to show the direction travelled.

Orbital Friendship Cannon - Grants all allies in an area X health regeneration, Y damage reduction and Z bonus attack speed. Reduces cooldown for allied champions abilities by V upon use.

I don't play the game myself (just made an account for it) but I know a bunch of people that play it at school. By the Activated abilities and Ultimate Ability it sounds like the pony would be Rainbow Dash. I like the idea, and think it would be pretty awesome but is there a type of petition you have to make a new champion? Also the creation of this might be neigh impossible because League of Legends would have to make some deals with HASBRO

The abilities are just my ideas so far, the abilities will hopefully be varying and a have a little bit of as many ponies as possible. There is no petition, if ten thousand bronies sign up and get to level five, this WILL be made. I also mentioned that nothing should be taken directly from My Little Pony (so the sonic rainboom would just have to be rainbow sonicboom or something of the like). League of legends has all kinds of content that they have made in dedication to other games and media, and don't get in trouble because they just make it obvious that it is referencing this specific thing, without using anything exact.

Awesome idea! I was wondering for a long time why they didn't already have a pony-champion. Anyway even though I already have an account I'm gonna make one because I think this is worth working for.

I have an idea for the ultimate though that I think would be better than something like a sonic rainboom; THE ORBITAL FRIENDSHIP CANNON! other than that I'm not quite sure what I'd like the champion to be...

It should be a support champion.

 

Passive -> Generosity: All your allies get 2.5 per 10 more gold/sec

 

Q -> Laughter: Your ally regenerate under the power of laughter healing them for 90/150/210/270/330 ( +0.5 per AP )

 

W -> Kindness: The enemy suddenly feels too kind to attack anymore and stops in it's tracks for 0.5/0.75/1/1.25/1.5 seconds.

 

E -> Loyalty: You cast upon the spirit of Loyalty and give your ally 20/40/60/80/100 mana and strengthen their mind giving them 5/10/15/20/25 Attack Damage

 

R ( Ultimate ) -> You cast upon the power of friendship to send down a huge rainbow onto a target area,

giving all your allies health regeneration and more Attack Speed.

 

Might be a bit OP but you can always balance that!

You can't fix League of Legends' emotional problem. Losing just feels really bad in that game. Mostly because a single player has little control over the games progression. I do commend you for trying to make it a nicer game. But I doubt it will work.

Great ideas Neikos. If you have an idea for the visual display when activating the ability, make sure to include it!

 

If everypony could vote on what kind of Pony the champion should be and what style of Champion (melee/ranged etc) that would be great.

Someone already mentioned it, but most likely you won't be able to get too specific with the pony champ. I don't think Riot would want to advertise Hasbro in its own game.

I hate to be a party pooper, but you do not get to make your own champ. You would be helping the riot team to develop their idea. Also Riot has denied the prize in some cases, because they seem expect you to invite new players, not old players making new accounts that they end up ditching in the end.

 

And the game has a lore. How would they explain a pony?

Well i think if it was an Alicorn or a Pegasus it would fit in well!

Both of these can be made to look grand and (Pegasi especially) are used in a lot of lore.

Also, it doesn't have to look like it's from MLP, they could make it look more realistic

The idea comes from the player, and Riot develops it as far as I know, if you have a credible source that states otherwise, please post it with your comment. It is just discouraging to have people come and express negativity without giving reason, or based on un-credible sources.

 

@Vicke There is a dart shooting badger that plants mushrooms... how unrealistic is a pegasis compared to that? There is already a champion that is a Phoenix, another that is a Warewolf, one that turns into a dragon for the ultimate ability... the lore on new champions is just a few paragraphs, I REALLY don't think creating it would be in the least bit difficult. Feel free to give reasons though, I'd love to talk with you about it! Also, I am dissapointed that you would say something as extreme as "This would ruin League of Legends". It seems rather... ignorant (not said to be offensive!).

 

@Pencil Hoof Yeah, it wouldn't be styled like from my little pony, it would fit the general theme of League of Legends, or it wouldn't be a very likely idea! XD

Hey, i don't want to crush the idea down. I am just looking at things as it seems. AT THE LEAST you should try to look in to this (maybe go as far as send an email to Riot) as there is a CLEAR CHANCE that i am telling the truth. Or are you telling me that you are blindly going to gather all there referrals when nowhere is stated that you get to actually design YOUR OWN champion.

It never says you get to design your own champion. Actualy it doesn't even have the word design, it has develop and you do know what that word means, right?

• (of a poor agricultural country) Become more economically and socially advanced.

The first person who got the 10 000 referrals (Grez), never seemed to get to design his own champ. Apparently he pretty much watched as the Riot team further developed Vayne (you do not create a champ in a day).

 

The big problems is that the Riot hasn't given any comment on this or at least i have been unable to find a single thing so far, even though this has been questioned for ages.

This should be enough to at least catch your interest to find out the truth before you start dedicating your time on this project. There has been few people who got the 10 000 referrals, yet not a single happy confirmation? Very odd if you ask me.

SO! Apparently there is already a Unicorn character. Althought I thought Soraka was a japanese mythology Oni, she is actually supposed to be an anthropomorphic unicorn. So... it ends up working out! If we get the 10k referrals, then perchance more development will go into Soraka, and maybe a few skins that aren't so hideous... XD

Hah, they would never make a pony champion. They could do some sort of horse, maybe even a cartoonish one, but it wouldn't look like our ponies
