Hack cringed as the message board flickered off. Ten minutes... He had ten minutes to find a way out of here, or solve this riddle. He took a deep breath and started to think, but his teammates groaning distracted him; and his words didn't help reassure him of the situation. Unfortunately, he was stumped. "There's got to be something I'm missing." he thought, "A cross eyed teacher."

 

"Hey midnight, any ideas now would be the time."

"Well, I never studied any language. It probably has to do with a common thing between eyes and teachers." 

Midnight didn't really hear a lot of jokes over the years, being alone and doing his magic training.

Ambrose rasied her voice slightly to the group. "U-um, ii mmmight hhave annn idea, aany pony?". She was very nervous that no one would listen to her. "Am sorry i didnt mean to interupt.". She looked down again not wanting to speak. Well she tried.

Arcane continued to scan the door. When she mentioned the riddle (?) he looked over it, but just chuckled, shook his head and returned to looking for a way to get out of the elevator. "I have no idea how i got here, but i fear it was similar to how you might have. Only guess i have currently, was kidnap" he said nonchalantly. He brushed almost all of this off as if it was part of his everyday life.

Ambrose looked down. "I-i-i might h-have an idea about the r-riddle, i-if you w-want to hear it?". She asked shly. She wasn't sure but she felt she had the right answer, she might as well say it just in case she was right. She wasn't quite sure what to think of Arcane yet.

"I-I-I-I don't know, uh... um... I c-c-can't think straight..." Split started saying, stuttering with pretty much every word he said "Uh... m-maybe they kept dropping stuff on their students?... um... they kept giving students the wrong p-papers back?... I-I-I'm no good at thinking under pressure..." 

 

"Oh, come on, why can't HE just show up? HE could help us out of here, I'm sure. Or he'll just help himself... whatever, it's better than having ME working on this..."

Arcane looked over at Ambrose and smiled, but it was more out of her being funny than anything else. "I'm fairly sure the riddle is just to entertain ponies who ride this elevator. Its probably a trick riddle with no answer too..." he responded. He slumped down against the back wall and sighed. "Looks like there isn't a way out of here..."

Chivalry looked at Split and speaks. "There isn't much time left, and I'm out of answers... Does this mean that were going to die?" Chivalry cringed at the thought and looked towards the ground. Though he still had a little hope, the lion said that there were others guessing too. So hopefully one of them could possibly have the answer. 

Chivalry looked back up at Persona Split. "Yeah, I'm out of answers, however there are others trapped here like us, if one of them gets the answer, then we should be fine... I hope." Chivalry looked at the elevators roof to see if there was an air vent or something, sadly there was not.

Ambrose pointed timidly at the timer. "U-h-h, what does t-this m-mean." She asked in a quiet voice. She looked over to see him slumped against the wall. She was sad he had given up so early, without trying at least a couple things.

Arcane looked up at the timer Ambrose was pointing at. He raised a brow at it and stood back up again. "Well... if i knew, i would tell you." He touched it, but nothing happened. He let loose the breath he was holding onto and continued to examine it. "Are you sure you have no idea why we are here?" he asked without making any move to indicate he was talking to her.

"N-no n-none, am s-sorry. N-none." She said. She backed up into the corner afraid she had angered the pony, and hid her face. She was scared a puzzled. Am going to try something. "The teacher couldn't manage her pupils" she said aloud. "T-t-thats the aaanswer, at l-least i t-think."

"Well, well, well, it seems like somepony finally found the anwser." Ecoed throughout the elevators. "Now hurry up and open your safe. In it you'll find a key. With it you can open the hatch on the ceiling and go out. Now hurry up! I'll go and explain some rules before we can advance."

End Game breathes a sigh of relief and opens his safe. He takes the key and opens the ceiling hatch, then crawls out of his elevator, "Is anypony here?" He shouts to the room outside.

Phew, looks like somepony else said solved it first. That was a close one.
Sure enough, Dream Pop heard a soft click emanate from the safe in the back wall of the elevator. The safe now opened easily enough, and he quickly snatched up the key with his teeth. He was able to reach up and twist the key into the lock, popping open the hatch. With a small running start, he leaped higher than he thought possible, straight through the opening. He landed right the top of the elevator and looked around, eager to meet the other ponies apparently trapped here with him.

Midnight looked over to Hack. "Well, it seems like somepony solved it." Midnight opened the safe and took out a key. He looked up, the hatch was higher than he could reach. "Nothing a little magic can't solve." Midnight used a simple levitation spell to put the key in the hole and unlock it.

 

Midnight conjured a little trampoline to jump on. It'd last for a minute or five since Midnight didn't want to overuse his magic in case he needed it for more important stuff.

He jumped up and then when he got on the roof he jumped onto the ground. There were five other elevators. It seemed like they couldn't fall, so why'd they get lied to?

Nevermind that. There were other things that were more important.

He couldn't recognize this place. There were a total of four doors. A Big door with the number nine on it was on the left. Then there were three colored doors.

From left to right they were magenta, yellow and cyan.

All Midnight could do was waiting for everypony else.

(Sound Thought) "Well, I will thank who ever solved it later, for now I think I will focus on getting out." He turned towards the safe and grabbed the key and quickly tried to unlocked the hatch on the ceiling. He was afraid that he may have been lied to to, but surely enough the latch really did open, and he was able to climb out of it and go onward towards the next room. "Not one of my finer escapes. I can't let something like this happen again..."

 

@@Midnight Blade,

Hack looked at the trampoline nervously wondering if it would hold up. He thought about using his wings, but they were slightly hurting and he didn't want to strain them. ​"Well here goes nothing." He jumped and the trampoline and landed safely outside the elevator.

 

He was still a little shakey from the jump, and while he tried to keep his balance. He accidentally bumped into Midnight.

She had been right, at least she helped the other the ponies.  She walked backwards and immeaditly bumped into Hack. "O-o-oh no, a-am s-sorry. I d-din't mmean to." she whimpered. "I just said, what i thought  was the answer and now am here, with a crowd. Oh no." She said to herself.

End Game turns to Ambrose and smiles, "Oh, you're the one who solved the riddle? Thank you so much for saving my life and everypony else's. Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you..." He says as calmly as possible. I really hope she doesn't freak out on me, I'd hate to get in a fight with a hysterical person after all the weirdness today. He thinks to himself.

Chivalry was relieved to hear that somepony else had told the right answer. He located the safe and opened it, inside contained a small key as foretold from the screen. "Alright, looks like were not going to die after all, hehe." Chivalry smirked wearily at Split. He looked up and upon closer speculation, a small keyhole could be located. Chivalry thought he didn't see anything when he first looked up there before, he probably just missed it the first time around due to him freaking out.

 

Chivalry used his magic to open the latch with the key. He then used his magic to encase himself in a lightweight bubble which allowed him to float out of the roof. "Hope you got a way out bro!" Said Chivalry to Split as he floated above him. Chivalry landed on the grounds outside of the elevator, and noticed the other ponies. He smiled and walked over to one of them.

Chivalry walked over to Midnight and smiled as he spoke. "The names Chivalry Knight! and who might you be?" Chivalry immediately looked at Midnights ankle automatically. He noticed that he too was wearing an ankle bracelet like him and his friend back in the elevator. He looked around as if on instinct at everypony's ankles, all of them behold the same bracelet.

End Game begins to look worried, " Are you alright? There's nothing for you to be sorry for... Do you know anything about what happened? All I remember is that somepony in a gas mask came to my apartment and knocked me out with some sort of gas... " He tries to appear non-threatening.
