At the time those were top-of-the-line graphics though. What made him scary in that game was the fact that you only caught glimpses of him a lot of the time but knew he was coming for you.

I was just kidding, I can understand the reason for the graphics to look that way, the scariest thing of him for me is that he blended with the shadows, and when I saw him in the light, I would freak out.
