Lee thought about it for a moment. "Hmm. I don't know. I'm not sure she'd like it...I would have acutally asked her if she wanted to do the same thing, but I can't for...well, obvious reasons." He looked back at where Sunny and Charcoal were. "How about we let them have some girl time. That might help Charcoal feel a little better. Don't need us stuttering around, making her feel worse, eh?"

"Your probably right. So, you want to go see what Commander Crypt has been up to in that airship. It feels like we've been here hours already...." Solar walks back up to the airship, it's hatch open, looking to Lee before heading in to track down Moon Crypt.

Jaeger flew around for a few minutes, happily stretching his wings and legs. He looked back down o scan the group for Solar, he knew it sounded clingy, but he really only trusted Solar and he needed someone to stick next to when the action arose. He finally spotted him walking back into the ship. He flew up behind him and followed, staying silent.

Lee nodded at Solar. "That would probably be a good idea. I need to see if he's ready for the recon anyways. Char actually had a very good idea for infiltrating the town. Since it's a small town, I'm assuming every pony there knows every pony. So even if me and Moon Crypt use our best disguises, we'll still stick out like sore hooves. Char had the idea that we go in as some kind of traveling sales ponies." As they walked up to the ship, he thought he felt something out of place. He glanced over his shoulder and saw Jaeger flying behind him. Hmmm. He's enjoying himself. I wish I still had my wings...of course if I did, then I wouldn't be here...life is a messy thing.

Charcoal saw Lee going back inside the ship and ran after him. She didn't really want to be away from him right now. She followed him and ran up next to him. She gave him a littke nuzzle. "Hey. Where are you off to. I didn't want to leave you just yet." Charcoal said.

Lee looked over as Charcoal nuzzled him. "Oh, hey, we thought you might want some girl time with Sunny. I thought I made you mad and...well, I'm not exactly sure how to not make a mare un-mad at me, so I figured that talking to Sunny might cheer you up..." He stopped following Solar when he got on to the deck of the ship, looking around for Moon Crypt. "Hey Solar, do you have any idea where he is?"

Charcoal smiled. "I'm fine. I just got a but upset. You didn't make me mad." Charcoal said. Then she turned to Solar. "Hey... Solar right? I never was able to answer your question from before. I weigh roughly 120 pounds. Why do you ask?"

Solar's ears perk up as he hears the distinct sound of another set of hoofs walking on the airship ramp. Seeing as the pony hasn't run up to him yet, it had to be Jaeger. Solar looks back to confirm his assumption.

Solar turned bright red. "I...I'm sorry I asked that. If my mother was here, she'd smack me. I just was having an out load thought back there. It's just that...If you want to fly...I can carry you...All you'd have to do is....Just let me take care of the lift. Consider it my way of apologizing for bringing it up in the first place back there."

Jaeger followed what he thought was quietly up the ramp behind Solar. When the stallion turned around, Jaeger just looked about acting as if he were just on a stroll. He listened to the conversation Solar was having with the mare before lighting another cigarette and waiting for Solar to keep moving. If he was lucky he could get a peek on the Lord Inquisitors, keeping up with the task his leader had given to him before they left.

Solar looked at Charcoal as he walked back toward the opening of the airship. He stood there for a moment, extending his wings, flexing them four times before he began to hover a few inches of the ground. "If your ready, now would be the best time...before the mission gets underway. If you want to glide with your wings...you may."

Charcoal nodded. "I'm ready at any time, but... would I really be able to glide on my own? I don't really even know anymore. I haven't really used my wings any since... well, ever. I don't even remember the mast time I used my wings. But could I have the ability to glide with them?"

Solar looked at Charcoal with a puzzled face. "We're just going to do this the same way my dad did for me when I was a little foal. Just extend your wings. I'll take care of the rest."  Solar looked out the open ramp, into the blue sky remembering the first time his father took him up when his wings where to small to fly on his own. "You don't think Sunny would have a problem with this...do you? I don't want to upset her."

Charcoal shrugged. "I don't really see a reason for her to have a problem with this. Why would she have a problem with it?" Charcoal asked, curious now? "Does she also want to be able to experience flight? Or is it something else bigger?" Charcoal asked, tryinto figure it out.

Solar hovered up over to a point where she could hold on to his front legs. He looked out into the Sky. "We'll start out low, and if your comfortable, I'll take you above the clouds. You do still have the ability to walk on clouds, Right...Just in case"

Charcoal grabbed his front hooves and nodded. "Yes, I'm ready any time. And yes, I do have the ability to walk on clouds still. So you don't have to worry about that part any. And I'm not afraid of heights so you can go aw high as you like. I don't have any problems with it."

Lee watched them take off. He remembered his first time flying as a young changeling. He closed his eyes, remembering the feeling. Sighing, he turned to Jaeger. "Do you remember your first time flying? I do. I remember the wind in my, my wings beating on my back...I guess that pegasus wings don't beat do they? They flap..." He looked away for a moment, saddened by the memory.

Charcoal nodded. "Of course." Charcoal spread her wings like she was asked. She wasn't really sure his her dodo wings were going to help with his flight, but if he says it will help then who is she to argue. He probably... no, definitely known more about flying than she does.

Jaeger turned his head to the sound of a familiar voice, it was Lee if he was correct. Lee asked him about his first time flying and Jaeger smiled and nodded before answering. "Of course I do...it was a wonderful feeling, looking down at all the ponies below me, feeling the wind in my face, the warm coforting heat of the sun..." he trailed off as he looked at the changeling who appeared distraught by the memory "Did you have a bad first experience?" Jaeger asked softly

Solar was now flying at a higher speed, the wind rippling his mane where it extended though his helmet.

 

"I'm sorry in advance," Solar said with a chuckle as he did a barrel role, placing Charcoal upside down for a few seconds.

 

"How about a full blown loop?"

Charcoal had been taken a bit by surprise the sudden change in position by the trick Solar just did. But now that she had her bearing she was grinning wildly. "Yeah. Let's do it." Charcoal said excitedly. She wanted to experience more if this. Thus is what she was missing.

"OK than...Time for the big finally. I wish I could do this more, but I think this is all I can handle for one day." as Solar climbed higher into the sky before beginning a dive towards the ground. The speed had his cheeks flapping as they approached a sonic speed.  Meir feet from the ground, Solar pulled up, exerting a few G-forces on himself and the mare who was holding on, as he began the large vertical loop. As he went over the crest of the loop, he stopped flapping, just extending his wings as he had instructed Charcoal to do. Only using them to steer, coasting through the air.  As they approached the ground, he had enough remaining speed to do a corkscrew before landing near Sunny. 

 

"I  I think that's all I got for now.." as he panted a bit.
