Sunny was used to much of the attention when on stage, some of the crowd not being the politest of ponies but it was always part of the act. A slight shiver managed to go down her spine at the obvious presence of evil, though her flare was only yet to be expressed. She then nodded to the bartender with a keen smile, "I'll have whatever you like Obsidian," hummed the mare in a sweet tone before turning her head back flirtatiously, "Careful there...your drink's already gettin hotter," teased Sunny before swishing her mane elegantly. They were ripe for a song...and suddenly...that small piece of Sunny's heart slowly began to climb to better heights.

"Well sir, I was just mesmerized by your style and quality of work. You by any chance wouldn't have a dagger that matches my officers saber here, would you? Nothing like having a complete set. This saber has been in my family for generations and I've never been able to find anything like it around. I figure a craftsman such as yourself would be able to whip something up similar, if you haven't all ready."

 

Solar turned his attention back to the saw blade sitting on the forge, he had almost become entranced by the fire before he got an odd feeling and turned away quickly back to the smith, just smiling.

Lee was eyeing Dark Vengeance wearily now, and the dark feeling of evil filling the room only made him more weary. She knew to much. How did she know he was part of a group. Was she giving off that dark feeling? That would possibly explain how she knew about him. "I took extra care to make sure that didn't happen. How...how..." thoughts like that swirled through his mind, going through a list of things that could've gone wrong, and options he could take to neutralize the situation. Had he slipped up some how? How...hmm. She may have to be dealt with. Like it or not, she knew he was part of his group. And where was this feeling coming from? It made him shiver, and when something is able to scare a changeling,  then that something is not to be taken lightly. If ponies knew he was part of that group, that would make information a whole lot harder to get. It also would make ponies more suspicious if everyone in the group was seen snooping around.

Without turning around, he addressed Jaeger cautiously. "I wouldn't go messin' around with that without the proper gloves. I found it in a meteor a few weeks back. White Quill wanted me to keep an eye on it for 'im. Somethin' 'bout having to do with sunmetal or whatever." He shrugged. "He's due to pick it up tomorrow, and, by golly, I'll be glad when he does. It's been exerting a wierd presence of sorts. Makin' me feel all out of whack."

The bartender frowned at the use of his first name so casually, and shook his head, grabbing a mug and a barrel of an alcoholic something, filling it up and muttering.

 

Your response garnered a series of chuckles from the other corner. "So she does more than look cute!" The drunk stallion announced. "Ya got a voice as well, sweetums?"

Solar unshethed his saber so that the smith could look at it. What better way that to earn somepony's trust than by commissioning them he though to himself. The saber itself had a gold handle. 

 

"So...what do you think of her?" he said with a smile. "I can pay you in advance for it's smaller bother...But I may be needing my sword, do you think you could remember the design?" 

Solar looked back at the forge. "I don't suppose you'd be willing to give me the pony who commissioned the sawblades information. I would much like to meet a pony with...such a similar taste in weaponry." He said with an almost evil smile."

 

Solar looked to Jaeger than back to the forge. Solar was feeling an attraction to the blade for some reason. His mouth beginning to burn from the pill he had been chewing on...

Jaeger turned his head slightly, his ear twitched as he heard the smith speak to him. He nodded slightly as he reached into his pocket and pulled out his Demon specified gloves, built for many things. He slid them on, being careful to keep them out of the smith's sight. "I see....who is this White Quill you speak of?" He asked as he crouched and picked up the orb slightly, examining it from all sides. "Also....you said sunmetal? Is that a smithing term im not familiar with?" He asked with a chuckle

"Nah, just wanted to see it for myself," the smith said. "It shouldn't be too much of a problem, but it might take a bit to get the style right. Give me perhaps twenty-five bits and I'll get you one like it in, say, three days." He paused. "Or, rather, as I have nothing else to work on, two days." He shook his head, muttering before he looked at him again. "I'm not exactly sure that I should give you that information, especially considering the mad smile on ya face..."

 

Once again, without turning around, he continued, "He's the town scholar. Said something about some prophecy. And that's the term he gave it, not me. I think he thinks it came from the sun or something. I dunno."

"Well... I would need to see what kind of land is available. If it is more rough or rocky Terrain then maybe like a hot spring of sorts or maybe even a public bath. If it is a field area then maybe like a new house or cafe." Charcoal said. With the sense that they were being followed she couldn't help but take a quick glance back to see who, or what was following them.

Solar looked back at Jaeger, than the saw blade. "..wait, did you say sun metal?" As it snapped the smile off the stallions face. "There is only one object in all Equestria made of Sun Metal...Celestia's crown, if I remember correctly."

Sunny turned her head to Lee with a revived wink as she picked up the potent drink and took a slight sip before standing on her hind legs and whirring around in a graceful flourish of her tail and mane that gleamed slyly over her eyes. Her heart had revived and her fire rekindled. She had never felt so instigated for her absolute best in both song and dance since her first performance in Canterlot. Ironically, this would be the exact same one she sang on that grand stage, putting her name on the mouths of many ponies in Equestria. Suddenly, the mare began clapping her fore hooves together in a fast pace with the strong tap of her right hind hoof continuously, never missing a beat. The mare's slight smile and elegantly lowered eyelashes appealed to her sense of grace with powerful movement and voice that ringed out with a passionate latin tone:

 

"Lust...I can see it in your heart.

Don't act as though you can't see it too.

Baby, I know you know that I'm no angel but who is here to judge,

Don't mind those hearts I broke, there were only a few.

 

All you need to know is that the night has just begun,

and baby, my passion still burns hotter than the sun."

 

By now, Sunny had clapped and tapped her way to the center of the inn...At this point she suddenly began to twirl with a strong salsa style, teasingly motioning her hooves from her head, down her body to her hips before blasting them out to the side and stopping her spin into and dance where she lowered her mane before throwing it back strongly. She then brought her fore hooves back, crossing with one on her waist and the other upon the opposite side of her face. All this was done with quick, speedy movements of her hind hooves and a couple spins, her tail flowing like silk in her wake. Then she flipped backwards with grace before planting upon the floor back into her taps and claps mixed with the hypnotizing sway of her hips and swish of her tail.

 

"If you are worried,

just grab hold of me,

And then I will show you just what I can do.

I'll only bite a little,

that much is true,

But if you ask nicely, I will kiss some too.

Maybe just a few.

Immediately as Sunny hit that last note, she began to shake her upper body with her hooves curving and cleverly flipping speedily with another swish of her golden mane and a series of twirls followed by a one-handed cartwheel and a deep lean backwards. 

 

"Baby, my passion still burns hotter than the sun,

Oh...the passion still burns hotter than the sun."

 

Now, Sunny synchronized her curvy, tempting dance in with her music as she prepared for a big finish with her starry eyes of sapphire.

 

"Lust...you know it's in your heart.

You can't act any longer for you see it too.

Baby, you know I'm far from an angel and only heaven will judge,

Those hearts I broke don't matter, now it's only me and you.

 

All you need to know is the night has just begun,

Don't you feel lucky, this night has only begun..."

 

As her epic finale through the sudden pause, Sunny back-flipped through the air three times back towards which she came, kicking off high towards the ceiling and landing firmly upon the bar with an expert kick of her hind hoof under her beverage up. It then amazingly landed into her right forehoof that was risen above her leaned back chest, her honeyed mane hanging loosely from her seductively skyward face and her other hoof holding onto her tail against her flank enticingly.

 

"And baby, my passion still burns hotter than the sun!" she finished, dumping the beverage down her body appetizingly with a luring smile.

Jaeger listened as he continued to examine the orb. "The town scholar....White Quill." He echoed in a very soft tone, as if he was speaking to himself. "I will have to talk to him sometime about this unique piece he has stumbled apon." Jaeger said letting out a friendly chuckle, putting the orb down and returning the gloves to his pockets and walking to stand next to Solar. Wonderful.....I've got a town scholar and a demonic orb...two good pieces of info....and this prophecy...maybe we should go visit this scholar..... he thought rubbing his chin as he did.

Thank you for your time, but I believe we have somepony to see, right Jaeger?" as he turns his head to his friend. "When you get some time, I have a very important question to ask you...about my little snack I had earlier..." as he nudged him.

As the song ended, most of the stallions erupted into clapping, however, the three or four that weren't were looking at you shadily. As one of the onlookers looked on, you saw him look at the few evil glares in the room before rapidly withdrawing what appeared to be a dart gun, putting it together, gesturing you to move to the side a little bit as he did so.

"Well, once the forest has been cleared, we have many, many different locations and choices. The southern land, while a bit rocky, I've found provides a stable foundation for later work, while the flatlands are smooth and, well, flat- perfect for housing developments." Mrs. Page said, absentmindedly knocking her hoof against the door to her office before pushing it open and gesturing inside. "Now, let's be seated while I get a map out..."

 

As you glace up ever so slightly, you are unable to make most of the figure at all- in fact, most ponies wouldn't notice it at all- yet the shadow's barely glowing eyes told you that Moon Crypt was right above you, watching your every move carefully...

Charcoal smiled as she entered, an almost unnoticeable grin slid onto Charcoal's face for only a moment before she sat down and went back to her normal smile. "That sounds great. Now I may not be the best at retail so you tell me where these flatlands are and what you think we will need there. With some options available I will be able to make a better decision." Charcoal said as she smiled.she wished she actually knew when Moon Crypt would be finished with what he needed to do. All she knew was that she was supposed to tail the mayor.

Sunny licked the beverage from her face and chest when she noticed the not so impressed ponies. She was playing her game entirely off of Lee observation before she saw the other pony with the dart gun appearing device. The mare winked at the onlooker of question before laying flat upon the bar and sliding off to where she was directed.

Solar nodded to the craftsman before motioning Jaeger to fallow him out the door. Once they get outside, Solar turns to his friend with a worried look on his face. "That look you gave, stairing at that orb scared me a bit. Perhaps you need this pill more than I do...You have more experience here than I do." Solar shock his head, trying to get the bad thoughts out of his head. 

 

"What do you say we give that scholar a visit, see what he knows, that get back to the in. Sound like a plan?" He said with a smile.

Jaeger waved goodbye to the blacksmith without saying a word. Once they were back outside he stopped and turned towards Solar. "Don't worry about me, I was more shocked then taken by the dark presence. Something like that is very rare I suppose, given I've maybe heard some of the Black legions elders speak of it, but just cant remember." He said letting out a laugh.

 

His face became serious at mention of the scholar. "Alright that's where we will head next, but we need to be careful...." his voice lowered to a whisper like volume. "...anypony here could be something evil, we need to keep our guard up, let's just play it safe with our questions to the scholar." He said

"Sounds like a plan to me. I'll let you take care of the talking this time...just in case." as Solar began walking towards the town library. To him, it looked very much like the one he had seen in Ponyville, just larger. Strangely enough, he thought he could see light inside. Whomever was in there was still awake, which was a good thing, or at least he though.

A cheery, full voice resonates from inside the building. "Hello there! I don't recognize the voice! Err... I'm a bit tied up at the moment, hang on!" You hear books being shifted, papers being made, and, finally, a large crash. You hear a sigh before the door opens to reveal a middle aged unicorn stallion with a brown coat and white hair, with a small beard. You notice that the slightly torn cloak that he wears barely disguises his plumpness. "Well, good day, gentlemen! How might I help you this fine evening?"

As you  sidle over, you feel a whoosh by your tail and a very, very small something collides with the patron behind you, when he sniffs the air before passing out. Quick rapidly sticks his dart gun underneath the table, looking for a next target, while he blinks at you silently before smiling ever so slightly. He then turns back to searching the bar.

 

The bartender looked at you quietly before shaking his head and pouring another drink. "Ingest it, please. This is a fine brew. If you want to take a bath in it, I certainly will be able to provide you with something slightly less expensive..."

 

However, with the exception of the bartender and the one or two patrons it was obvious on the faces of some of the stallions that you were the center of their life at the moment. For now, your task here was done.

 

Yet, oddly, you couldn't find Lee around anywhere... perhaps he went upstairs.

As you sat down, you could tell something was wrong here, but you couldn't tell what was out of place about it. Perhaps it came from the mayor herself. Withdrawing a map and a document file, she turned around and spread them out on the table. "Due to some recent population expansion, a few blocks of housing might do us wonders. The flatlands are to the east and stretch around the town. There's a bit of a drop after a few miles, but it's plenty. One might compare it to the shelf of rock Canterlot sits on." She smiled lightly. "So, here's a map, and here's a list of available property... go ahead and ask about what you are interested in."

 

((I just realized that Charcoal is an architect. Do you have any experience in that field?))

((Hehehe, well... no actually. I'm just going with my gut on this. Though I am constantly worried I am doing something wrong.))

 

Charcoal looks through the documents and across the map for what looked good. Though that strange feeling that something just wasn't right... she just couldn't seem to shake it. She realized she had been staring off into space and shakes her head. "Sorry about that. Guess I just zoned out there for a minute."

Jaeger gave a cheery smile and shook the stallions hoof. "Good evening to you too White Quill. Where are my manners, I'm Jaeger and this is my good friend Solar!" He said motioning behind him to the large white stallion. He turned his attention back to the scholar. "We were just at the blacksmith shop down the road and a strange orb caught my eye. The smith said that you had some information on it and I was eager to ask you some questions about it." He said, sporting a smile.

Solar nodded and fallowed Jaeger. As the scholar opened the door, Solar looked him over, noticing the cloak. "Good evening Sir. I hope we were not interrupting anything. As my friend here said, we just have a few questions for you and then we'll be on our way. Do you mind if we come in?"

 

Solar looked to Jaeger with a cautious look in his eye. "If possible, ask him about the proficy." he whispered to his friend.

"An orb at the blacksmith's?" he scratches his head for a moment before his eyes widen. "Oh, yes! Well, come on in. Coincidentally, I have some tea brewing. I could use some company." Smiling, he stepped out of the door frame, yet pauses slightly as he catches a glimpse of Moon Crypt's talisman around Solar's neck. He smile returns. "So, take a seat and I'll go get some refreshments! Be right back!" He leaves, giving you a few moments to take home the house.

It looked like a library that had been stuffed to the breaking point- and then some. Towering stacks were all around the place, with more than a few having collapsed. As you finish looking around at the shelves and scrolls, you hear a clatter, turning around to see White Quill having a plate full of various foodstuffs and a pot of tea. He set everything down before taking a seat and pouring himself a cup of tea. "Now, what exactly do you want to know about this sunmetal orb that I found?"

"It is rather late for this. It's perfectly understandable." She said, with a look that suggested that you needed to step up your game. "So, what is the nature of this company?"

 

You can see, obscured by Mrs. Page's body, the hooked cane reaching down and returning up silently with a sheaf of papers... almost like fishing.

"Well... I just find my line if work fun. And I have to actually have a project going on to be able to experience that fun." Charcoal said, her heart hammering now. She needed to focus or else she would really be in trouble. "So... *ehem* anyways..." Charcoal starts looking at the documents again, trying to look more professional.
