Jaeger nodded slowly, "Yes I am aware he was at the hotel with us. I wanted to know where he was, since you to are so close I figured he would have given you some information on the subject." He said, his tone had a serious sound to it. He kept walking, wanting to know, it seemed suspicious to him and he wanted some answer.

Charcoal gave Jaegar an equally serious look. "Don't you use that tone of voice with me. I don't rightly appreciate being talked to in that way. So next time you want to know something ask nicely or don't ask at all." Charcoal said to him, getting very close to raisin her voice at him.

Jaeger grunted. "I'm not trying to sound mean I am just concerned. So where was he while h was gone?"Jaeger asked, his voice a lot calmer than it was when it started. "I'm very curious to to tell you the truth." He added with a small chuckle. This is my only chance....I dont wanna have to force it out. he thought frantically

Charcoal huffed and turned her head away from Jaegar. "I don't feel like it anymore. I didn't like how you spoke to me before and I haven't forgiven you." Charcoal said like a spoiler littke filly wanting a new doll or something of the sort. She had the feeling she may regret this though.

Jaeger stopped, he turned to look at her. He then said a phrase he had never uttered before as long as he lived. "I...I'm...sorry." he stuttered slightly trying to put the sentence together. "Please...I need to know...this is very concerning to me...and don't lie...though I doubt you would." His voice sounded gentle, more than it had ever sounded.

Charcoal was a bit shocked by this. He never really seemed like the kind of stallion to say he was sorry or to seem so caring. And yet, she felt like he was being completely genuine. She wasn't sure why exactly, but she had a feeling that what he said was true. "Still don't really feel like it."

Come on! She is holding back for a reason....I know it... he thought, his heart racing. "Charcoal...your just making me need an answer more. Lee just disappeared, and now no pony has really gone into depth of why, you are closest to him. Given our situation his absence and now the with holding of answers it makes things suspicious." He said, almost frantically, with a tone of voice showing concern

Solar Sentinel 

Solar stood there as Sunny pushed up against him. Her warm fur was so relaxing to him as he tiredly layed his head on hers. "Up the stairs we go cutie." he said softly as he stretched out his wing around her, loosing a feather of two. With the day he was having, at least he knew Sunny would keep his spirits up...and hopefully hers.

Sunny did her best to help him up the stairs...though it wasn't too much of a struggle. Even though his appearance had changed, the mare still felt the same warmth of Solar she had before. It gave her a smile, no matter the circumstances. She was still strangely quiet though, unsure how to react to his different self as they reached the top of the stairs and too Solar's room.

As they reached the room, Solar pecked Sunny on the cheek. "Please come in with me, I could use some company....There's something I've been meaning to ask you." 

 

Solar walked in slowly before laying on the large bed, motioning for Sunny to lay near by.

Sunny wasn't sure of what to make of the kiss on the cheek as she quietly followed him into the room. She hesitated nervously to lay down next to him, raising a hoof to go forward before freezing and listening to his words. "Wha...what did you do...Solar?"

Solar laid his head down in shame. "Sunny...I...I don't want to see you or Charcoal or anypony get hurt. I can feel that a battle is coming. I...what I tried was to protect you. I would rather something happen to me than one of you. I was trying to gain power to fight that demon myself...though Nightmare Moon's book...Now look at me! My own team is afraid of me!" as a tear began to form in his eye as he pulled Sunny close and began to cry into her soft, warm fur. "I wish I could fix this....the voices, they just won't go away....I must protect you at all costs." as Solar cried himself to sleep.

As Solar pulled her in, Sunny accepted laying down with him. His tears and his touch were so real...The stallion was indeed still her Soaly..."There there my Soaly..." Sunny whispered as soothingly as she could, even though she knew he was asleep. The poor warrior of Celestia's tears had poured upon her fur, drenching it in their sorrow. The mare knew his anguish...He felt helpless to protect those he cared about. Sunny then began to pet his cheek softly as she looked to his closed eyes the were soaked by his sadness. "You're my Soaly...probably the bravest and sweetest stallion I've even known...but ya expect too much from yourself..." She then leaned to him and kissed his sleeping mouth very tenderly before wrapping her hooves around him lovingly. "No matter whatcha look like...I'll always love my Soaly," she whispered as she closed her eyes and pushed her nose against his. Sunny wasn't tired, but she wanted to stay and cuddle with her stallion...comforting him as he slept.

"Suspicions? How can this be suspicious? Is it that you don't trust me? If you don't believe me then you can go off and leave now. I'm not going to stay with you if you are not going to trust me." Charcoal said, giving Jaegar a nasty look as she stopped in the middle of the road.

Jaeger opened his mouth to say something but stopped himself. "I do trust you Charcoal, I just feel like there is something you are holding back, if it is that private I will respect your privacy, but I don't like being left in the dark Charcoal." he said as he started to hang his head

"Good, because I have no intention of telling." Charcoal said as she began walking to the blacksmith again. She just needed to get the orb for Mar'Del. But it will be more difficult with Jaegar with her. She will need to do this carefully. But she smiled as they finally reached the blacksmith. Charcoal walked through the front door and waited for Jaegar.

Jaeger let out a huff of frustration, he felt that he actually could not trust her, the fact she hid it and was not willing to tell when he found out made this even more hard to trust the mare, he did not intend to let that orb it of his sight, if she wanted to see it that ha to be for a reason as well. He walked into the blacksmith shop storming past Charcoal and over to the orbs last position.

As Jaegar stormed past her Charcoal grabbed his tail and gave it a tug to prevent him from moving past her. "Woah there tiger. Where do you think you are going? I don't think it is exactly polite for you to just barge in and go to wherever you found this orb."

Jaeger looked back at Charcoal and whipped his tail away. "Well it is a shop after all, I don't think entering and looking around for ssomething that peaks my interest would be barging in." he said as he waved to the blacksmith and continued to wall towards the orb

Charcoal rolled her eyes at Jaegar and followed him to the orb. "Well you are sure a smartass today. Any reason why that is?" Charcoal asked as she came up behind Jaegar and looked at the orb. This was the orb she needed, she just had a feeling. She needed it.

Jaeger gave a friendly laugh, "I guess I've just been out of it for the past couple of days, thinking things that couldn't be true." he said with a smil as he saw Charcoal eye the orb. I can't let this orb go....I will do everything in my power to keep this away from her. he thought looking back to the orb

Charcoal was so close to the orb. She needed to get to the orb. It was just so close to her. She needed to get to it. "So... what is this exactly?" Charcoal asked as she continued to eye the orb, watching it, not letting it out of her sight for a minute as she reached a hoof forward to touch the orb.

Jaeger slowly pushed her hoof away. "Woah there, I can't have you touchin it with out proper hoof protection, it could have harmful effects." He said, watching her eyes, they were like a dragons to a large fine gem, they were hungry, he knew he could not let her have this orb, not at all.

Charcoal shoved Jaegar's hoof away. "Screw that. If you needed protection to touch this thing, why would it be out here? And besides, it can't be that bad. I want to examine this orb and you aren't going to stop me. So just shut up." Charcoal said as she reached out for the orb yet again.
