"for money the assassin stained steel made a call for fighters" lawleit said then took another bite " on nom nom... anyways he said to meet at the devils Pub, want sone" lawleit asked as he held out a piece of cake to Bart using his magic lawleit walked along till he seen the pub and the group of ponies and a scorpino walking away from it lawleit seen meep "there she is " lawleit then used a spell to teleport to her

Demon blood walked along "it's time we go home don't you think moonbeam" demonblood said

Moonbeam looked at him with fiery eyes and said "go to hell"

Demonblood laughed "home it is then" he said as a pentagram of fire appeared under them and in a flash they disappeared...

Frost stayed to Steels side, keeping his head low facing the ground. He was contemplating what Demonnlood would try to do....how he would counter the groups entrance into his little game. He wasn't sure, he could never be sure...Demonblood was to unpredictable at times. He looked up to Steel and sighed, "I hope you have a good idea where he is.....otherwise he could be anywhere....unless he wants you to find him....." he said, wheels begining to turn in his head. "If....If he wants you, then he's just using moonbeam.....why would he want you though...ahhhhh I'm rambling again , dammit." he said slightly stamping his hoof.

Steel chuckled "I never told you that story did I, well it's high time you know but to save my breath I'll tell all of you tonight when we make camp "steel said as he walked "you will know soon enough"

A feeling of great relief at seeing Meep swept over Bart, but was quickly replaced by confusion. Why on earth would Meep have agreed to travel with that...whatever that snake-like creature was? There must be quite a reward for whatever this assassin wants...I don't like her being with an assassin...but I guess it's her choice. He watched Lawleit teleport over to Meep.

Steel turned when boys he heard lawleit "great, law is here now I have somepony be that's worried about what right and wrong please tell me you're not joining this hunt"steel said

Meep gasped and turned. "BART!!" she practically screamed as her eyes widened. The two ponies rushed towards each other, and Bart caught Meep up in a tight embrace. "I missed you so much!" Meep exclaimed.

 

"I missed you more..." Bart murmured, smiling.

 

"But...what are you doing here?" Meep asked, gazing up into Bart's eyes concernedly. "Something must have brought you here besides missing me!"

 

"It's...complicated," Bart replied. "Portals and such. Anyway, that guy over there, Lawleit, he helped me find you."

 

Meep turned to Law. "Thank you so much!"

 

As she turned back to Bart, she saw he looked serious. "What's the matter?" she asked.

 

Bart glanced somewhat uncertainly at the snakelike creature. "Well...I just...am wondering..."

 

"...why I'm traveling with this motley crew?" Meep finished, a smile quirking the corners of her mouth. "I'm in the hunt for Demon Blood, that's why!"

"Great. more hicks" Krylock grumbled as Meep and Bart met up. This was ridiculous, the only competent ones so far were him, Steel, and Frosty. Maybe they were powerful but he wanted proof, not mere shadows of doubts. "Hey, Meep, you seem weak" Krylock said, attempting to jibe her into a fight

Steel smirked "lawleits right There is no point trying to fight now" steel said as they neared the everfree "now's your chance to turn back after thisyou trtry to leave you will be hunted by demon blood "

After they made camp Blacklight had decided to take the time to reconstruct his short bow, It had been specially built so a pegasus could shoot it though he had to be in the air to fire it. He right in the middle of hooking the last harness when he saw the pink unicorn called Meep rush into a stallion's arms and after watching the display he thought. Wow...that almost reminds me of...no, I think about them...not again. Still the memory had caused his normally neutral expression to slip and for that one moment if anypony had been looking in his direction they would have seen all the sadness and pain flash across his face before being replaced once more by his neutral expression. He turned his attention back to his bow as he pushed those memories back to the deepest reassesses of his mind.

Frost sat next to his small fire, just staring at it. He looked over when he heard Steels voice. As usual he was talking about ponies taking watch and staying in groups...he figured he could handle himself fine, bit he had Steel in his group so it was nice to have some back up once in a while. "I'll take first watch, I can stay up longer.....having to much coffee." he chuckled.

Steel flew down and whispered to frost "I'd rather you take watch with krylock I don't trust him yet since he's trying to start fights" steel had his dagger out a was twirling it he hadn't had a true fight in weeks and he was itching for one he hoped they wouldn't be disturbed during the night

Steel was about to reply when two timber wolves burst out of the tree line into the clearing "we'll talk later " steel said as he pulled out his daggers one of the timber wolves dove for meep and Bart with his gaping maul, "fight now talk later " steel said " look alive ponies "

Teleporting past Krylock Thorn sat by the fire I am not from around here. However I have heard of this demonblood and I need the money plus I have a few abilities that are bound to come in handy. Shifting his form Thorn took to the air looking just like Steel. Hovering in the air above camp. "Now then are we going to continue to squabble or shall we sit and talk peacefully.

Seeing the timber wolf Thorn darted down changing back to his original form and blasting the nearest timber wolf with a green burst of magic to blind it. Teleporting his hammer from his pack Thorn backed to the others to wait for orders to be called out.

A mantecor rushed out of the tree line and attcked krylock with its stinger

Steel flew at the timber wolves "what are you waiting for an invite kill the he damn things " steel yelled as he began to stab and slice the timber wolves

Jumping forward Thorn smashed the timber wolf he had stunned in the face charging forward to draw the timber wolfs attention to himself. Blasting him again Thorn hits the timber wolf in the side knocking it to the ground and continuing to whale on it until it dies.

Blacklight was immediately awaken when he heard the shouts and stood up to discover they were under attack. Pulling his sword he began to engage the nearest timberwolf. He had managed to score a number of blows on it, when out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a mantecor rush out of the forest. He rolled out of its way just in time as it smashed in Krylock. Finishing off the timberwolf, he turned his attention to the mantecor as he flew into the air and began to shoot arrow after arrow into it.

Frost just stated still in his sleeping bagging his hoofs behind his head, he listened to the battling going on around him. He hesitated before calling out to Steel. "Hey Steel?! You need my help or what...." he said just trying to push Steel's buttons....one of his favorite pass times.

Krylock stepped back, parrying a few strike with his tail before the Manticore wised and slashed him across the face with it's claws. Krylock was stunned and the Manticore took advantage by slashing Krylock's shirt. A huge mistake.

"Y-you damage my face and my shirt, I'LL KILL YOUUUU!" the Scorpioserpo screamed slamming the Manticore to the ground in a burst of rage and beating it relentessly with his pincers. Krylock then bit and stung the Manticore repeatedly until the Manticore's body was numb

Meep looked away from Krylock's performance and gripped her sword tightly. She could only focus her magic on one thing, which was keeping Bart safe, as he somehow didn't have a weapon, and nopony could give him one at this point...which meant she had to fight with her sword in her teeth.

 

The one remaining timberwolf came towards her and she slashed at it ferociously, dodging its gaping maw and raking its wooden side. The timberwolf snarled and lunged at her, snatching Meep's sword and tugging on it. Meep immediately surrounded her blade with her green magic, knowing that this was more important than Bart's already-dimming force field, in the moment. She and the timberwolf grappled for the blade.

Steel dove at the timber wolf slicing at it and stabbing it turned its focus to steel forgetting the and releasing the sword the timber wolf swiped its paw at steel, steel dropped to dodge

Lawleit watched and shot a bolt of fire magic at the timber wolf burning a small spot on its chest

The timberwolf howled in pain, diving at Lawleit, but Meep leaped, plunging her sword into its wooden side. A splinter as big as her leg fell out of it. Meep pulled her sword out and stabbed again, this time using her magic to enhance her blade's strength, something she could only do twice in twenty-four hours, and carved a sizeable chunk from the timberwolf's body. It let out a horrible noise and fell, and as it fell the sound of splintering wood hailed the end of its life. Its legs virtually gone, its body battered and burned, it lay, panting. Weakly, it swiped at Meep as she came near, but she dodged it and plunged her sword into the timberwolf's chest. It dissolved in green light.

Steel laughed "well that was fun "steel sauce then walked over to Bart " why didn't you fight? Let me guess no weapon " steel was annoyed how could somepony just walk into the everfree knowing what lives in it and knowing that their hunting a killer and not once think to ask for a weapon or carry one
