Is the animation really that good?

I do agree with the fact it is kinda overrated. (i will have to change my bio after reading your points of view) Now that I do think about it, the animation isn't really all that good. I found a YOUtuber who makes a certain amount of episodes in a series he calls: My Little Pony: Bloopers are Forever and by the looks of each episode he makes, there are a huge amount errors. Here's one of them:

I don't get this comparison at all. They're not even remotely the same type of shot and it doesn't make sense to compare them

Yeah, that's exactly my point. These shots may be different, but I'm still picking ones that pretty much show what the animation is like overall and what you pretty much see all the time and what to be expected. If you're pointing me to pick a better example of that with the same kind of shot in two animation styles that's not going to happen because there's nothing out there like that with MLP.

I personally think the animation is great. I actually have a friend who works on animation. He said animation isn't the easiest thing in the world to do, and the first thing that caught his attention about the show was how good the animation was. All of the background ponies, the fluid movement, everything about the show struck his fancy. Then he proceeded to watch the rest of the show, and he's now a hardcore brony.

The animation is good, because it made a friend of mine a brony. Now I have one more person to nerd out about ponies with. :)

That is the style of the series, all noodly and jointless. It might not be aesthetically pleasing for all but that is the style.

Actually, whilst I do love the visual style of the show and the design concept for the characters, I have to admit that the designs themselves are rather poorly executed. Some of the turn-around sheets for the characters are inconsistent and have errors, which explains why the characters go off-model so damn much in each episode. It's like every animator draws Finn differently.

Also, why the Hell do the characters change pose with each turn-around? That's the kind of thing you leave for pose sheets.

That Marceline one could just be a colour reference, but I ain't buying it.
