searching Goodnight- Black Lullaby's (Survival, Adventure + other things)

     It has been roughly three years since these endless nights began. No one was really there to see it happen, and anyone that did probably didn't live long enough to tell the tale. What everyone knows for certain is that on the first day, Canterlot and Ponyville were overrun with weird monsters that attacked your very mind with sounds. Any one within these towns were evacuated or fled to safety by local officals.

    None of the princesses could be seen taking action against these threats. Most assumed that the monsters had already killed the them, and ever since the elements return to the tree of harmony. The presence of the mane six mattered very little to anyone in times of crisis. Slowly these monsters would spread to other towns and cities across Equestria, making life there unbearable. Eventually these monsters would leave and survivors would rebuild or move on, hoping the monsters wouldn't come back.

    Just how many years has it been since her reign? I stopped keeping track in my mind, and that decision to cease my counting serves as my deepest regret. There is no clock where I am kept, and almost no connection to the outside world. All I have left is the very  paper you hold in your hooves. Please, I know that the times outside maybe harsh; but I beg of you. Look upon my writing of what happened that day.

    I was standing right by her side, watching the crowds screams of excitement... 

 

[the rest of the letter is torn off, but on the back it reads.] 

    

    To any who may have received this letter, weather by chance or fate, I beg of you. Find a way to put an end to this eternal night. Search for others that may have your same quest, and never fall to the mercy of sleep.

The time doesn't matter, The sun hasn't shone in ages. The pony could see a small town in the distance.

 

Not many were awake in the town, presumably they are all dead. There isn't much that he can see to figure out his location. Signs are fallen on the ground, or unreadable; although, it's hard to say, but one read Blackspur. The buildings lie in ruin, but some promise of supplies and survivors still exist; but that also means promise of timber wolfs, and even worse devours.

 

On the outskirts of town, where the pony was, a single tree bustling with the lights of fireflies can be seen in the distance. There exist a chance that fruit may be on one of it's many branches. 

 

In the sky, a fierce storm cloud serves as a frighting reminder of what powers own the sky. Who knows what may happen if the pony were to fly too close. What did that matter to him though. He was dying near the entrance of the town. Two timber wolves slowly tearing him apart, maybe somepony would put him out of his...
