I got into the pony business a couple of years ago, it was Rarity's singing that first got me paying attention to the screen. Wasn't long before those crayon coloured ponies ensnared me in it all. I know everypony takes their own meaning and aspect of the show, along with the character development I've come to know it as a bit of a beacon of hope. Offering teachings that should be much more commonplace than they actually are. Hobbies range from Music to gaming to scientific and philosophical discussions. Though of course I'm a bit vague here, I'm sure I'll have a lot more occasions where I can go into detail with some nice folks. I'm trying for short and sweet for now. Even a dash can change the entire taste and palette of a dish. It is good to make your acquaintance, Cinna. It's a funny thing, I never cared to even ponder the MLP series before FiM. Thank you for the welcome, and I did in fact say scientific and philosophical discussions. But I'm hardly a philosopher or scientist myself, I feel I may lack the deep insight for one and the mathematic capabilities of the other. Or each for both. But, I like discussing all things, with all people, helps give more depth to my own thoughts and ideas gaining the perspective of others'. Not to mention sharing mine can help others do the same. I mean, while I can speak politics, I prefer to discuss philosophy in the vein of the nature of knowledge and reality itself, that way people can't really get mad when more than one differing opinions are presented. Science though, I love science, since whenever it's discussed, one can almost guarantee that someone is learning something. But I have a soft spot for quantum mechanics, and astrophysics. What about you? Your post is surely the questions of a mind that likes to learn and expand on topics with others. It's fun to find people to talk with about these sorts of things, compare views, and hopefully learn even more ^.^ Yeah, I'm not much into politics, either. Frankly, I hate the stuff; all that slander and politicians that only care about their own hides... I'd rather stay away from it all. When it comes to all that thinking stuff, I like things like differing options on the meaning of life, that sort of thing. Though recently I've stopped thinking about those sorts of things; that heavy thinking doesn't help my depression, haha. Omigosh, you like Quantum Mechanics and Astrophysics too??? I mean, it's not that rare to see those two together, since they both discuss the nature of reality and all that jazz, but it's still cool to find someone that likes both those things, too I've loved looking at the night sky ever since I was young (well, younger) and that led me to find the Astrophysics field. Defiantly gave me a new view on the sky; just imagine, every single star out there is a giant ball of heat and gas and explosions! And we can't even see all the stars out there! And in science class, I found out about Quantum Mechanics. It's just, all that stuff is so unknown, and that's what makes it so exciting! >.< I'm sorry, I rambled, didn't I? Sorry, heh. But maybe we can talk about these sorts of things more? I bet there's a place somewhere on this site to post these kinds of discussions *pinkie pie gasp* there could be a club! Well, Brian Greene put it wonderfully when he said : “I have long thought that anyone who does not regularly - or ever - gaze up and see the wonder and glory of a dark night sky filled with countless stars loses a sense of their fundamental connectedness to the universe.” The fact that us, all things, are connected. I love that we're made of star stuff. Also, don't worry about rambling, that's how conversations start and discussions start. I'm always willing to talk more about this stuff, the idea of a club could be interesting, though I'm sure there are already many other like-minded folks that would be more than happy to take part in said discussions without the need to coral them up with a club.
