Actress Gal Gadot has been cast as Wonder Woman, the most famous comic super heroine ever, for the upcoming DC Comics Superman vs Batman film, which will debut in 2015. Gadot has starred in Fast & Furious 4-6 and some other movies like Day And Night.

 

My thoughts? I hope WB know what they're doing. They're trying to cram one or more heroes in a movie meant for two. And from the pics i've seen of this woman, I hope she plans on working out.

All I gota say is, I hope she SERIOUSLY puts on some muscle.  Man, they *really* blew it by not casting Jaimie Alexander in the role.  I mean, look at her in the Thor movies.  Sif *is* Wonde Woman.

Ditto man. I was hoping for Alexander myself. At least they picked an actress with experience instead of some WWE lady. Still, she better put on like 10 pounds of muscle lol.

Why do I have this odd sinking feeling that they intend to use CGI and padded costumes to 'bulk' her up? DC as a company hasn't had the best track record the last dozen years or so for understanding their own characters and what makes them appealing. So I'm trying to not to get my hopes up on this one.

I feel like they're trying to compete with marvel in the cinematic universe thing, but in the wrong way. Marvel gave the heroes their own movies. WB is trying to cram 3 or 4 in one movie.

My guess is they are trying to introduce the common moviegoer to these characters, then branch them out into their own movies. Like the reverse process of Marvel, who made movies for characters then brought them all together. My guess is Wondy will have a very, very minor role in this. One really badass scene just to say "Hey here's this badass chick. You want more of this? See her movie."
