Tired of the show's "focus" on the mane 6 all the time?

They're called the "Mane 6" for a reason as they're the main characters in the show. But I do think some episodes based around some other secondary characters would be nice,maybe a Luna/Celestia Episode or Cadence. I'm not too fond of the CMC episodes or Spike episodes either. I'd like to see some other secondary character have the spotlight for once.Or even a background pony.

   The show is fine, it's not like the Care Bears from the eighties, where a quarter of the characters didn't even had a speaking role much less screen time, anyway we had the Cutie Mark Crusaders and Spike episodes, and they are done quite well, in addition we had call backs to Trixie, Princess Luna, Princess Cadence, Shining Armour, and now Daring Do. Introducing a new character is not easy, it takes time to develop and find a voice for the character, placing the pony in a story and plot. moreover do fan service by bring said character back, the demands of the fans can be insatiable. We see new characters brought to live, giving us an example of Equestrian culture and heritage, however we must remember the mane six are the core focus of the story, so we can not always expect background ponies to get a episode, given there are a superfluous number of fan favourites. I would love to see Lightning Dust back, Spitfire and Daring Do, they do interact with the mane six, so there is at least that plot, now hard to please bronies may not get want they want, remember the show has to balance the aspirations of fans and the children who are still at the heart of MLP-FiM.

Nah, this is a character driven show, and the Mane 6 + Spike are highly developed characters, so it makes sense to focus on them. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't like to see some other ponies get the spotlight occasionally though, as that could be interesting.

I mean I know the show's focus is obviously on the (mane) six xD and yeah of course the majority of the episodes need to be based on them that I also understand perfectly. And I must say they have done a really good job in these 3 first seasons. Season 2 being my absolute favorite of them all. But all I was trying to point out was the appearances of side characters to add to the jazz of the show to give it a bit of variety if you get what I mean.

she has her own damn empire.  I'm kinda curious how her life looks like day to day, i could see a clever writing making that fun.

I wouldn't mind seeing candice win over a fat chunk of the fan base.

They wouldn't do it since it's always better to keep the audience familiar with the characters in the screen. We already know and love the Mane 6, introducing new characters frequently would take this charm away.
